When I think of yaoi music, "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake comes to mind, like, instantly. x) I know he's singing about a girl and all, but the whole shackles thing... whee

The fact that JT's video for sexyback is full of lesbians kinda pisses me off, because there are no gay guys in it! Boo! Sexist! He's like the only guy there!
But when I draw/write i mostly listen to orchestral music O.o Or daft punk, gackt, some Diru, maybe some nice slow song. It's not so distracting.

It's been SO LONG since I've been able to get yaoi in any way shape or form, and it's been longer since I've been able to download tons of music, so I've been stuck with the same 200-300 songs.
Anyway, I'd probably say it's random. I don't specifically go for anything for certain activities, though after a while I associate certain songs with certain things.
When I think of reading yaoi, other than random Kinya Kotani songs (He does the BAD LUCK songs for Gravitation...basically) I think...Inugami Circus-Dan and Kana come to mind. I can't recall EVER listening to those and watching yaoi at the same time.

Wow. XD See, I'm a really odd person, in that most of the time, I'll connect songs to emotions. In the same vein, there are certain songs for which I'll have worked entire stories in my head, so that every time I hear them, it's like a music video that only I can watch. And yes, there ARE quite a few that feature all-male roles, if you catch my drift.
'Is This Real?' by Lisa Hall is absolutely one of the most sensual songs EVER. 'REV 22:20' by Puscifer, as well. The Puscifer song in particular makes me think of a specific RP pairing I have, Lucifer and Gabriel. 'Kiss From a Rose' by Seal is of course a mushy, romantic, lovely type of atmosphere. I also recommend a song called 'Michael' by Franz Ferdinand. It's one of their lesser known songs, but it's ABOUT gay guys. XD; Last but not least, 'Garden in My Room' by Merril Bainbridge is an absolutely beautiful song for ANY setting, yaoi or no, as long as you don't look at the lyrics too deeply. n.n;;; Because it's about vaginas.
