I listen to some of their older stuff. My opinion seems exactly the same as everyone elses. Their new stuff is very forced.

Forced, monotonous, sounds like too many other folks, and they RELEASED AN ACOUSTIC ALBUM OF THEIR "METAL" SONGS.
You just don't do that. If a metal band is to go acoustic, they do it like Alice In Chains- they make up NEW songs that actually go with an acoustic attitude. E.G. "Brother", "Am I Inside", "Nutshell", etc.
Speaking of AIC, I've heard that Godsmack rips off Layne's vocal style... and I agree, to a certain point.

they suck when they started to play their music man srry but dont get mad dude. i really say it sucks.

I love them, but some of their songs do sound a little alike. I love the older songs, and maybe a few of the newer ones, just not as well.

bounty_hunter_bk I like some of their songs. But those few songs that I like are the ones that actually stand out. The rest of their stuff all sounds the same to me. Same here. Sometimes the lyrics will be different but everything else sounds the same so you really have to concentrate on it. I like Voodoo very much...

Jar of Flies. That was a good album 3nodding *Ahem* In accordance to this thread, however, I've never listened to any of Godsmack's work... but otherwise I know I haven't heard too much good about them.

sounds exactly the same.
