Unfortuatley they do. Look on the back of your games and it will have a little earth symbol with a number 1-4 on it. America is 1, I think...
Another thing you will see is NTSC or PAL (if in Europe) this also defines which consoles you can play what on.

It would be pretty awesome if they'd make a version for America, but either way it does look like a pretty neat game. When I heard about this a while back I was sitting there wondering how on earth they'd come up with a game concept for the manga....xD! But, now that I've seen this....it makes sense. lol. Pretty cool. 4laugh
