Name of cub : Monifa Nkiruka (I am lucky for the best is still to come) Prompt number : 1 Quote: You haven't been in the world for very long, but you realise you have quite alot of reletives. One day when you're minding your own buisness you stumble upon a conversation between your eldest sister Afritti'dogo and one of the older lionesses. You discover that your fathers name was Nyekundu and he once ruled this oasis. This astounds you so you run to your mother to ask questions. What do you do next? 'the salmon lord'Prompt answer : Someone had let it slip that her father was Nyekundu, a very power hunger, unstable lion that was put to death for the death of Mufasa. She still had the shocked look on her face as she turned about face and ran off to find her mother. No one had told her this. Whenever she had asked her mother had kept putting it off or claiming that it was just a silly fantasy that she, Monifa, had come up with in her mind. Well, she wasn't imaging this now.
She nearly collided with her mother, Ithiibatii, and was hard pressed to slow down in time. She could tell that her mother had a concerned look on her face now and would face a scoulding for running off on her own. But her look of shock was still plastered onto her face as she finally raised her head enough to look up at her mother. For her age, she had grown up quickly, being a different color from the rest of her family, but that might have been part of the reason she was more persistant on knowing her father than the others.
She took a deep breath, swollowing hard as her green eyes locked on her mother's. "I just found out who my father was. Why didn't you tell me it was Nyekundu?! Why did you try to keep that from me? Am I going to grow up and be as insane as him? Will I crave power so much that it will destory me? Why didn't you tell me?!" She swished her black and white tail about violently, growling low in a small kitten like tone.
She was a mixture of emotions, anger, fear, sadness. She wanted to laugh out loud for the silliness of it all, but at the same time cry over the fear that was coming over her. She must have looked insane as the emotions flashed across her white face, a tear running and mingling with the black mark down her eye. Where would her life go after this?

Name of cub : Monifa (I am lucky) Nkiruka (the best is still to come)
I decided on this name as a symbolize to her future adventures. Prompt number : 1
Quote: This ones open ended. Play out the cub in any situation. What is her personality like? Keep in mind that she will never have met Nyekundu he will have died long before she is acctually born, so although his influences are every where he will never have personally influenced her. Nature versus nurture. your choice. Prompt answer :
A storm was brewing across the horizon, that didn't bode well for the young cub and she hurried back to where her family was gathering for the monsoon season to reach the Kusuni lands. Storms never had been a good sign to Monifa Nkiruka and something always seemed to come up when they were rolling across the lands. Her silver ears turned back as a crash of thunder rolled behind her, her dark cyan eyes closing breifly in fear. She really hated storms...
She felt the first droplets rain down on her silver back, flinching at the cold it left wherever it hit. She had her black and white tail tucked firmly between her legs as she started running faster back to where "home" was. She couldn't really call this home. She had been told by one of her new siblings that this would never be her true home. She didn't know if those words had been said out of jealousy or anger, but they still hurt. And she didn't even know where home really was... But right now, home was where her mother, Ithibati, was and that was where she was trying to return.
A fork of lightning flashed infront of her, silhouetting a figure or the shape of something. The lightning had made his fur pale, but there was a salmon streak running down his nose and back. He seemed to have the same black mark under the eye as herself. As quickly as he came, he vanished just as fast. She was left standing there dumbfounded as the rain started to pour harder. It took the drenching to snap her from shock.
She took up pace again thinking to herself, "Where did he go? Who was he?" The area started to appear more familiar to her and she let out a cry for the others to hear her. Her mother was there, keeping her sisters close to her, and Monifa was soon leaping the last bit of distance. She could tell she looked terrible and was in big trouble by the look Ithi gave her, but it was quickly curbed by the fear that was shining brightly in the cub's eyes. "I saw something in the storm. He had my eye mark, mama." 'the salmon lord'
