DehShadow-ness
i go to church to scare people. some yell 'let the lord back into your heart' and im like 'ummm... no' its pretty funny. i go and look and scary with all black dark purple lipstick, black and purple eyeshadow, heavy eyeliner, the works. its just too funny to not do. mrgreen rofl

That's not very respectful. You expect such people to respect you, yet you're going there just to cause a fuss. That really speaks volumes of your maturity level. rolleyes

I went to church once, it was for my cousins confirmation -thingy or something like that.

I figured that, if the church goers associate me with the Anti-Christ or whatever they find negative, it's their problem. It's not as if I bothered them or anything, I just looked the way I usually do. The way that comes natural for me. I believe that some conservative believers really need to stop thinking that everything different is evil.

Anyhow, no one reacted very strongly, apart from a few funny looks now and then. It all ended with tea and cookies for everyone. ^^

Yay@you! I think the only people I bother at my church with my appearance are the people who visit. They are the ones who give me weird looks. Everyone at my church loves me. Muwahahaha! Sometimes they'll comment if I'm wearing something other than black saying that I look very nice. But I never have a problem. ^_^

I didn't realize one could become a church regular like that. ^^

But then, there aren't many dedicated -50 churchgoers here. That could of course be because of the protestantism we got going on here.^^

Yeah. A goth have every right to believe in what he or she wants to believe, unless of course he or she trys to make others believe in what he or she believe.

But yeah, a goth can go to church.

why wouldn't goths be allowed in church?!

Dunno, everyone's supposed to be welcome...I wish they would try to tell me I'm not welcome...I don't go as it is, and if I go they ought to be glad to see me and my money><

The church isn't all about money. The Catholic church, yeah. But that's because they don't follow the Bible as it's written.

Well it just seems to me too many churches are more interested in how much money they can bleed out of its congregation than the actual message. But no, its not supposed to be about money, its supposed to be about the Bible, as you can see I'm a little burnt out on the whole thing, which is why I've been on a religious sabbatical for a few years now.

That's why you find a church that isn't corrupted in that way. I can recommend one for you if you'd like.

That's good, but I'm not sure, I think I need to decide if christanity is still right for...I've been having some doubts, however it might be but I still havent worked that out and to attempt to jump back into it right now would make me feel like a fraud.

This question has always lingered in my mind, and I just want to hear some of your opinions on this topic.

Yes the church should accept you for who you are because we are all gods children and the clothes and makeup and things we like should not hold us back from doing what we want to do
