My saves have always been because 90% of the time, I am looking at something with supremely femme boys...

Only my PC teacher doesn't know, my English teacher and my parents know I like the stuff, so I am safe... although one incident in PC:

Me: (looking at Clow/Yue fanart)
Ms. R: (walks over and looks at screen) Are you looking at lesbians?
Me: Umm... not lesbians no...
Ms R: Oh, I guess that one (points to Clow) is just very feminine... very well, have you finished the project?

I haven't really had any "almost caught by parents" things since my parents are cool with me liking gay manga and anime. As long as it isn't hardcore porno types, I'm cool. But I was over my friend's house and her parents are homophobes and I was surfing a picture thread with all thse guys kissing and makeing out and her dad opens the door, so I had to exit out of the window quickly and then pretend that I had been spining in the chair, only to find out that he didn't even walk into the room, just stuck his head in.

Sounds like the story of my life. I am a probably straight female. My sister thinks I'm asexual (don't ask she's a weird one), my mom thinks I'm bi, and my homophobic short tempered father thinks I'm straight. I am as of yet undecided because I want to have more indepth relationships than I've had lately to let myself decide. (funny how family members can choose before you huh?) OK so tonight for example, I'm staring at my screen reading posts in this guild in the fanfic area and I hear my parents door open. My dad has thye annoying habit of poking his head in my (unfortunately unlockable) door so I have to push X because their room is like 10 ft from mine. So the door closes again and then my dog comes in and sits in my lap (hindering speed and ability) while I'm reading/typing when their door opens again. So I toss the dog off of my lap and hit X again. This happened about 4 more times!! By the end of it I was such a nervous wreck that I couldn't type! (my dad was the one I was really worried about)

I'm always being caught, I was reading a LotR (Sam/Frodo) fic the other day and my dad comes in my room and starts reading it over my shoulder... Then goes off on a massive lecture about people besmirching the greatest friendship of all time. *sigh*

All my family know I'm a huge slash fan so I don't worry about it though. If I'm looking at kissing pics and someone walks in I'll be like "look at this! Isn't it cute!?" I don't like to look at hardcore pics anyway so I don't need to worry about that at least! smile

Well I remeber this one time when the Compture was in my Dads bedroom(don't ask) And His girlfriend(ex now) was siting there watching the TV in his room. Well I was reading a fanfic on OtherWorld(really good site) Anyways this fic has pictures with the writting. So I'm reading a guy/guy one and then I hear this "What the Hell?!?!?!" I turn around and the ex was looking at me like this eek and she went on and on about how bad that was and I was to young to be reading that kind of stuff. Well my Dad walks in and started to read what I was reading and was like "Wow, here did she(the writer) learn this?" and the girl got the eek face back.

My parents are total homophobes. I tried to convince them other wise, but anyway not the point. I had this picture of Ritsuka and Soubi, up, and all of a sudden my mom pops up asking if she could use the computer, I tried to X out the window before she realized that there were two boys making out on screen, when my computer completly froze. I turned around to see my mom's face. She looked horrified. I laughed nervously making up a quick lie. "Isn't that little cat girl so ADORABLE?!?!"Luckily my mom is dense. She believed me.

My parents are pretty open minded, so I've never really had to worry about anything, but I still would rather not HAVE to explain anything...

Still, there have been a couple of incidents. There was the Yami no Matsuei one I mentioned in another thread, as well as a few others.

At one point, I was watching Fushigi Yuugi with some friends, and my mum comes in soon after Amiboshi and Suboshi have their little "kiss" that isn't really a kiss. So, I'm just thinking "Oh, that was close!"

The my guy friend just goes, "Oh, man, you just missed something gross! Two brothers were kissing!"

*sighs* Thanks. Big help you were, there.



Another time I was showing something I had done on photoshop to my aunt, and was looking through my gallary on DA. Well, I was gonna close it after I showed it to her, but she insisted on seeing the rest of my gallary.

Now, I draw quite a bit of male/male stuff, but one of the guys looks like a girl, so of course she didn't notice those. However, once I drew a girl/girl pic, and the colors on it are really different then all the other pics around it, so it stands out. Naturally, she noticed it, and since both the girls LOOKED like girls, she just HAD to make a comment on it. While my mum was standing right behind us. Anyway, I just shrugged and said something about how I wanted to do a valentine's day picture, and just drew it randomly.... Which is actually true. Anywho, neither mentioned it again after that.



But really, I think I prepared my parents for all the yaoi and yuri by always being a strong supporter of equal rights and gay marriage and stuff. So... They learned a long time ago not to ask too many questions.

I was using my father's laptop while I was at his house one day. At that time, I was still waiting for FFX-2 to be released, so I was looking at screenshots while RPing with my friend Suu (male/male, of course.) I mentioned to my father how incredible these graphics looked. He came over to look at a picture and the ******** BROWSER RANDOMLY CLOSED FOR NO REASON AT ALL to reveal the RP chat window. Dad kind of stood there for a moment, grumbled, and walked away. >.>;; There was no explanation needed, and he didn't mention it after that. So whatever.

I nearly got caught by my mum- I think the only reason I got away with this is because she is an aging lady with slow reactions and bad eyesight. I was going to show her a picture I had done on the computer and was flicking through a file of what I thought were entirely safe pictures.

Until a picture of a guy wearing pink sparkling hotpants and posing in a provocative way popped up, that is. xd Luckily I just skipped onwards and pretended it was never there, and she didn't seem to notice, since it was only on the screen for about 0.1-0.2 seconds.

Lucky for me my mom's really, really dense. She was actually watching Cardcaptor Sakura and thought the scenes where Li was blushing around Yukito were actually scenes where he was blushing because of Sakura (it was in the earlier episodes). And she thinks Fake is just a run-of-the-mill cop story with a cover artist who has really weird taste. sweatdrop

Well, I've had several close shaves where I hadn't noticed my dad creep up behind me and start to read the fanfics I've been reading.
And then there was that time where he wanted to read a bit of the book "How I Paid For College" (yummy gay humor xd ) and he managed to find the worst part of the book and read it -_-
I don't think it would be a really big deal if my parents caught me reading MOST of what I read (I like fluff better than porn most days) because my mom loves gay guys and my dad doesn't really care. But if they read "Roy Mustang, Sex Ed Teacher" (a favorite) they'd have heart attacks.

Oh yes...I don't know if this would count as an "almost caught" story, but it was funny blaugh

My dad wanted to find a site where we could look at some pics of all of the Star Trek characters sweatdrop and so of course what site do I stumble on first? A site chocked full of really badly drawn Spock/Kirk. He was like eek HOLY CRAP! GET IT AWAY! Ahhh...that was fun.
