saw the movie, read the book.
Thought both were crap.
When it informative theorys about the church, it was fasinating. As for character conflict, delveopment and conclusion. It had to be the worse ever. It read like a bad nancy drew novel.

As for being offended, if i recall, they burned people at the stake for less.
So it always suprizes me that people get pissed off at the church for being so easly offended.

Ha Ha Ha! imagine that! I posted a comment in this thread that would have made most of you angry with me. It was not vulgar or offensive. I posted it as an experiment, something to make you think, something to show you the other side of the argument. I think it's funny that the adminestrators removed it. I was hoping to get angry posts and PMs.......So much for Social scientific Thinking.

Oh! In case you were wondering the post that I made was making fun of Goths. I am Goth so as I said, I expected you to get angry and PM me then you would have known why the Christians were so offended by the book and movie.

The movie was ok and I dont really have a big problem with it... It's a christian conspiracy theory that some goof came up with if any idiot is stupid enough to lose there faith in god and jesus just because of some stupid movie or book that has no solid proof then they never really beleived in the first place. That goes for any religion... as for the people getting all angry about it... I dont know maybe I missed something but umm... Holywood and Christ are enemys unless your blind so why get upset over this movie but not the other movies that mock christianity?

this may be kinda off just cause I'm tired as hell and about to pass out... so yeah there you go for my take on it.

P.S.
If god thinks it's needed then the people who made the movie and crap will get a nice lil end and shall bow and beg god for forgiveness.

This reminds me of the time when my dear friend explained to me what "Da Vinci Code complex" was.

This well... homeless and insane guy was asking me and my friends for weed, and before we could shoo him away he was telling us about how he dreamed that Atlanta blew up two weeks prior to that conversation. After we finally escaped him, my friend told me that he had the Da Vinci Code complex, where he stares at something long enough that it magically has MEANING.

So I pause for a second or two, and exclaim:

OH MY GOD! IT'S A v****a!

You're right, it's just a book that sits in the FICTION section of our bookstores. So why is everyone getting their panties in a twist?

The movie was a two hour long scavenger hunt, and it was baised off a book located in the FICTION section. Anyone who get their tighty-whities in a twist over it deserved to be punched in the face.

I'm pissed that so many people have tried to get it out of theaters...it's a ******** fiction book-Dan Brown admitted it himself. Last year we had a free choice on books for an essay. I asked my teacher if I could do the Da Vinci Code and she was reluctant to let me. I persisted and she finally relented. When I finally got my essay back, it was a C-/F when every other paper I handed in made a B or A. It wasn't until later I found she was a Christian extremist who was against the entire idea. stressed

None taken... Thats stupid if she did that... my gf had a problem like that kinda... she did a report on the goth culture and her teacher failed her for it... she isnt goth but likes the goth style... she did a great report but because it was a balanced report about goths she got an F on it... though if it had been a report bashing goths she would have probbably passed it.

Now on to the beef... the reason people are so afraid of it is because of the fact so many idiots see the movie and go OMFG what if thats true... its a movie it must be true right?
These idiots then go out and assault christians with this bs causing problems since christians are humans too and therefor many of them are stupid... no offencce but Humans are all stupid in some way or another even Albert Eienstien was stupid in some way... its a human thing it makes us inperfect and there for able to make mistakes. Thus Human.

The Christians also fear that the weak or misguided christian will be pulled away by this fiction and not get saved and there for not recieve eternal life. I agree there shouldnt have to be a controversy about s**t like this but untill humans grow up and get a lil more sense and accept that all because a movie makes a lil sense or says something's true does not always make it so we are going to have this problem...

The damn Author of the book said its a Ficton... for those who dont know what that means... ITS NOT F**KING REAL, IT DID NOT HAPPEN, IT WAS THOUGH UP AND PUT ON PAPER JUST LIKE STAR WARS AND WAR OF THE WOLRDS... MORE SO MOTHER GOOSE IS NOT REAL, THERE IS NO MOON BASE AND THERE IS NO MAGIC WARDROBE THAT LEADS TO THE MYSTICAL WORLD OF NARNIA AND NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE WISH THERE WAS ITS JUST NOT GOING TO HAPPEN... SORRY IF I SMASHED YOUR DREAMS.

My Theology teacher Ms. Kady said we shouldn't watch or read The Da Vinci Code because it would mean we were going against the pope. Get the ******** out of here.... rofl
