Saito_Style Here Ill make a list for Poser Bands that everyone here most likley hates! 1.Yellowcard 2.Trapt 3.Fall Out Boy 4.Good Charlote 5.Linken Park 6.Blink 182 7.Transplants 8.Seether 9.Evanescence Well thats all that I can think of right now. Why do people think they are Emo? Uhhh, I've never heard anyone categorize Transplants as emo. Nor Evanescence. Or Good Charlotte. Or Linkin Park. I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, But everyone knows they're not emo. But they're not poser emo either..

Xyloid Most people aren't 'poser emo bands' because they don't label themselves as emo. The fans label them as emo.
So I am guessing you mean the bands that are falsely named emo.
That covers every band since 1995 that has been called emo basically. With a few exceptions. stare

Well, i can see that a bunch of people are saying: "not pure emo" or " Not completley Emo"...
Ever concidered that most of this s**t (and yes i would like to call it s**t, because it sucks so badly that it makes me wanna papercut my eyes) is actually pop-punk or new-metal or not emo at all in general? stare
How about that one for a change. And i'm not going to bother with the true or fake emo conversation, because people around here only hear what they want to hear... stare
And i would agree with the one above. Every band in the third wave have been labeled emo without even being it.

all about the music. neutral IDK man. people DO have different point of view in music. I just want to point out really, whats good music and not. + if you think im the one complaining about the music look around you theres people who like rap, people who like country, people who like emo, and people who like post-hardcore music... one person might like one but HATE the other. I dont think its good to listen to more than one different Genre of music but its ok to listen to the subgenres in it... to me the Genre tree of Emol is >Emo .>Post-Hardcore Emo ..>Hardcore Emo ....>Progressive

Why do people think they are Emo? I do not believe any of them bands are 'Emo Wannabes'. But more than less just bands who are labeled by others. People at my school believe that if you even begin to like My Chemical Romance,that you're 'going emo'.Everyone at my school are posers though. I hate most of them. I seriously believe that preps and jock like people think that if they sit with me for a second,they're automatically my friend and that thay're even more popular then. It's quite pathetic.
