A laugh escaped from his lips after the other responded. It quickly fell away, however. "Too bad it's not." He said in a monotone type of voice. It might not have been noticeable if he was a more subdued person. His eyes were fixated on the burner phone he was tapping on when the question was asked. "Yes," he replied after looking over at the man. A smile spreading across his features. "I got plenty of information~" He speech pattern and tone already returned to normal.

It wasn't long before they were both in the car. That sounded boring. Did he even find anything interesting last time? Mitch might have asked that if it wasn't for something else. "Whaaat? Don't do that. Stay back and take care of me~" He was exaggerating. "What if I get too tired to eat? The others would definitely leave me to waste away. And we've been through so much together." His tone changed as he went. Giving life to his words. The next thing he said was uttered in a less animated way, however. "Plus, I could help you find what you are looking for~" He offered since they both knew he could delve for information which resided in another person; although, he never dealt with memory loss. It might not matter. "As a reward." He added the last bit like an afterthought. A reward for what? Staying in with him instead of walking around aimlessly? Perhaps.

                                  Location: A car with Carter.

▪Thoughts: How close am I to figuring out who I am?II▫Where: The Mountains [New Hope Orphanage]II ▫With Who: Myself & MitchII ▪Wearing: Blue-collar shirt [shown in picture] with black pantsII

Mitch made a decent point, this was reality and not some third rate movie. That orphanage was real along with the people inside it. An operation like that took money and power, both were probably achieved based on the business they were running. But little thought needed to be spared to that location. It was no longer his business to be concerned with it. Now there was something else that was a bit more eye-catching. The mission was a success and that implied that Carter had done what was required of him. A successful mission was just one notch he needed on his belt to get in the good graces of Nasya. Hopefully, the meant a hint to his life. There was no guarantee that she knew anything but at least she was the first person to claim to know something about him.

”Take care of you?” Those fiery gems examined the male’s figure as he tried to gauge what his real intentions were. To him, it sounded like the Knowledge Manipulator was a bit on the eccentric side that resulted in loneliness. Honestly, Carter didn’t have anything else to do besides wander and search for clues. Hanging around Mitch wasn’t the most terrible thing to be brought up but not the most ideal either. That almost changed on its head as the mission leader said something that caught the man’s attention. Both his ruby lenses opened as he looked to see if the guy was playing around. ”I’ll do it.” He said with a bit more interest in his voice. His entire posture moved away from the car’s cushions and leaned towards the magenta eyed male. ”What is it that you have in mind?”

KADEN The Leader
Call me Rage.

It was late afternoon when things got started. The group was brought close to the orphanage by a member with a transportation-related peculiarity. Carter and Mitch were the first to head in. They had a meeting set up for the end of the day with the headmistress. The hacker followed Carter's lead since he was the one the woman interacted with during the last visit. Whatever the redhead might have done or said when they reached the front desk, Ms. Del Amorio arrived as if she had been waiting for them. When she greeted them Mitch took the opportunity to step into her personal space. "It's a pleasure to meet you." He said while pulling her into a hug. She tensed for a moment, but he ignored it. The embrace didn't linger long enough for it to seem strange to anyone watching. When he did pull away he spoke again. "I've heard such wonderful things. I can't wait to see them with my own eyes." Despite how friendly he was being, he put on a more professional air than usual. The headmistress seemed to brighten when he said what he did. Eager to show them the way while starting her sales pitch. At least she didn't go over everything which was said to Carter previously. Still, Mitch stopped her to ask her questions. Mostly about the kids, but some were about other things: like clients. Whatever he asked wasn't strange. It all seemed to stick to a type of transaction which might transpire.

Five minutes after the first duo went in Sam took Rin around the back of the building. Since the sun was still setting they had to be careful not to be seen. Most didn't wander around outside at this time, however. They slipped into a particular backdoor when they managed to reach it. It was only unlocked because of Mitch. Lucky for them it wasn't an old manual version. It wasn't long before they arrived at the door to the room they were looking for: the hub of power. "Guard the door. I'll be right back." He said in a hushed tone before giving her a small smile. He entered the room while checking to make sure no one else was in there before he walked to the center. Sam held out his arms as a grin appeared on his face. Electric energy started to be drawn into him from all sides. It wasn't long before the lights in the whole building flickered once before the place was plunged into relative darkness. By that point, night had come but the sky wasn't all that dark yet. Sam emerged from the room having his hair turned blonde instead of being a light brown. Sparks of electricity course around his body from time to time. Before he could say anything two guys turned around the corner in a hurry. Apparently, they really needed to fix the problem. Before the two could react to the presence of intruders Sam's fists collided into their faces. Both bodies fell back to the floor at the same time. "Let's put them in the room," he suggested as his eyes glanced over at the door he just came out of a moment ago. There was no reason for them to be out in the open, but he wasn't about to look around for a better place. They just needed a little more time before anyone noticed them. Sam picked up one of the unconscious men and flung him over his shoulder. When they finished with that they would move on to the next destination.

With the lights out and the sunset, Kaden had transformed and brought Zeke up to the roof. Their involvement was not needed as of yet. For now, he was more of a lookout. Luckily, he ran into a potential problem last week. There was a shop owner who sometimes stopped by in the evenings to deliver some leftovers for the kids. A kind act, but an annoying one for them. The only reason Mitch didn't pick up on it was because the donations were never documented. If the person came he'd deal with them himself. Currently, he was crouched down with his wings tucked in so it wasn't as easy to see him--just in case.

Back in the hallway with Mitch and Carter, the headmistress had stopped completely. She apologized for the inconvenience and already sent someone to check on it. The woman definitely thought the power outage was strange and seemed slightly concerned for whatever reason. "It's quite alright. These things happen." He said in a polite unconcerned tone.

xxxThey had their fun at the new headquarters and got to know each other a little better the last week. Rin would be lying if she didn't say it was a bit draining. She was not use to so much human interaction but she was slowly starting to get use to it. Out of everyone she now knew from this group she got along most with Sam. Maybe because he was the most talkative out everyone and wanting to go to the pool. Either way, besides Nasya the hellhound got along with Sam the most so far it seemed. This could all change of course if Rin would maybe leave the leaders side for once and mingle with others on her own.

Now all the fun was put on hold from HQ as the group had a mission to do. For once, Rin was to leave Nasyas side and do as she is told by another and that other was Kaden. The young woman did not really want to leave Nasya but a order was a order. She would do what she was told and just hoped that nothing would happen while she was away. Of course Nasya was not alone but it still bothered Rin that she was so far away. The lavender haired woman waited with Sam as she watched the first group go in, being Mitch and Carter. After a while it was Sam and herself time to go in but not the same way the other two went in. They would have to go in unseen and not through the front door as their mission was something else. Rin followed the younger male to the back door that was so kindly open for them thanks to Mitch. Before entering, Rin gave one last glance around to make sure no one saw them and entered the building, closing the door behind her.

When they arrived to the room that they where after, Sam asked her to guard the door which Rin responded with a nod. As the male entered the room, Rin stood in front of the door and did what she was told. Her pale blue eyes scanned the hallways, paying close attention to make sure no unwanted guest came their way. She could hear the sound of sparks and electricity going off behind her, making the lights flicker on and off but she did not look behind her as she knew it was only Sam. Then the building fell into darkness from the lose of electricity. Hearing steps coming from behind her, Rin turned around to see Sam but his hair was blonde and electricity coursed through his body. Pale blue eyes looked at him for a moment before they shifted to the hallway where the sound of footsteps could be heard. Before the woman or the two men who came around the corner could really do anything, Sams fist collided with their faces. She blinked a little surprised from the sudden attack before turning to see the smiling Sam. He seemed to always have a smile on his face no matter what was happening.

She simple nodded her head as she watched him pick up one body before she grabbed the shoulders of the other men. She couldn't carry him like Sam so she just dragged the man into the room before following the now blonde haired Sam to their next destination.

SAM
The Fighter

He was excited about what was to come. Having Rin with him was only a bonus. They got along alright and she listened to him. It was strange to be the one to give commands, however. It was something he was never tasked to do in the past. Not like he ever minded being the one to follow orders. He didn't consider himself much of a leader after all. Perhaps he was having an easier time with it at the moment because of who he was with. Over the brief time they got to know each other he had become comfortable with her--for a woman. He was never really good around them.

Sam moved through the hallways as if he knew exactly where he was going. As they were jogging down one an employee came into view seeing as he just started to walk by. Without skipping a beat the blonde leapt into action. The man only having enough time to turn to face them before a torso was in his face. Sam's legs wrapped around the other's neck as the force of the collision made the man fall backward. The blonde's palms landed on the ground as he flipped over to slam the enemy onto the ground with his legs. The impact was loud while causing a crack in the floor. As he entered a crouching position he looked to the side to see someone aiming their fingers at him like a gun. Shots were fired. He zipped to the side and then toward his opponent just to punch them in the face as the finger bullets exploded when hitting the wall at the end of the hall. The person fell to the floor: knocked out. It took no more than a couple seconds.

Sam straightened before he looked at the woman who snuck in with him. A grin on his face. "I guess they know we're here~" He said since he realized someone had to have heard the noise. "Let's go." There was no time to wait around for more to come. Ones who were probably more prepared for a fight. Then he was off, keeping the speed he had before the brief violent encounter.

"They took the bait." The blonde heard Mitch inform him through some type of telepathy Carter set up beforehand. A smile crept onto his face. The fun was coming.

It wasn't long before they came to the wing which held the children. The ones which Carter was introduced to the other week. "Unlock the rooms and let them escape." He said to Rin in a more serious tone. The locks were simple ones which could be opened from the outside by anyone. Inside there was either one child, of age between five and ten, or an empty room. One which had the bare minimum of what was needed. "I have to go to the training room." He explained before he hurried down the hallway past all the rooms and disappeared around the corner. If she happened to follow later, it would be an easy place to find.

The woman continued on her way since there was no reason to think it was anything but an outage. The way she spoke was different, however. It was as if she was more distracted by what happened than she should have been. It wasn't long before someone Mitch knew was close to her came to pull her away for a moment. She excused herself and went to talk to the man. They weren't too far away but spoke quietly enough not to be heard. It didn't matter what they were saying because Mitch already knew what it was about. A small all-knowing smile formed on his face as he turned to face Carter--making it so his back was toward the other two. That's when a couple of explosions were heard off in some other area of the compound. "He was never good at staying quiet for long." He said under his breath not caring if Carter heard or not. There was a hint of amusement in his tone. Of course he was talking about Sam. He shifted his stance to look back at the other two as they ran off in a hurry. Completely forgetting about them. Before he addressed Carter he sent a mental message to Sam since he heard the woman spit out a particular order. "Well look at that." He said as he turned to back to the redhead. "They left us all to ourselves~" He said in a teasing tone. A smile spread across his features as he trailed his finger down the man's chest. "Take me to her office."

As much as he'd love to have sex on the desk, that's not what he even attempted to bring up when they entered the room. Instead, he pulled out a key from his pocket and gave the other a smile. "Time to get to work." He knelt down to the locked drawer and slid the stolen key in. Yes, he took it from her when he was being a bit too friendly. With a click, it was unlocked. He pulled a small lock box out and placed it on the desktop as he stood up straight. "She really doesn't want anyone to see this." He mused more to himself as he easily put in the code. When he saw what was inside a smile spread across his face. "Perfect~" He touched the storage device with his fingertips and closed his eyes.

It didn't take long for him to download the information, but he did take the time given to him. It was always better not to rush things. When finished, he closed the box with the device inside. The gears ground into place to signify it was locked once more. Mitch placed it back into the drawer before using the key to lock it.

"They're coming back." Galileo mentally informed both of them. He wasn't physically at the scene since he didn't need to be in order to see. Plus, they were linked through Carter. Why be somewhere when you don't need to be in order to contribute. "Del Amorio first." Mitch responded back with his own way of saying thanks. The door swung open aggressively. "What are you doing!?" She did not seem happy. As soon as she saw the key Mitch tossed it to her just to distract her eyes long enough for him to pull out his hidden handgun. It wasn't his favorite weapon to use, but the Ruger model fit him. The bullet planted itself into her leg. She screamed out in pain as she fell to her knees. Her hands moved to hold her useless leg. "Kill them!" She screamed out her order. The burly man already moving between her and them--assuming Carter didn't make a move on him already.

xxxRin had never seen been around Sam when he was in action. She knew he could fight but not like this. It was a bit surprising as she normally saw him cheerful and a nervous wreck. Rin was glad though that the younger male could defend himself as she herself would not be able to fight all these men so swiftly without shifting. Rin's style of fighting is street fighting thanks to her time living on the streets, but even her ways of street fighting were not typical street fighting, it was more animal like almost. Either way, Rin could hold her own for the most part without shifting but it is hard for the young woman to keep her cool and not shift at times.

Again, Sam took out more men in a flash, not giving Rin really any time to react as Sam saw the man before she did. All the sudden Sam was wrapped around a man before slamming energy to the ground made a crack into the ground and making a loud noise. That was defiantly going to alert more people where they were. Shots were then fired, making Rin duck and then something seemed to exploded at the end of the hallway. The lavender haired woman got up quickly and was ready for action and worried that Sam might of gotten hit but when she stood up straight the action was already over once again. Her pale blue eyes looked at the blonde as it seemed once again that he had handled it. " You are doing all the work." She muttered a little before nodding and following the blonde down the hall.

Soon enough they had arrived at their destination which was freeing the children. She was instructed to unlock the rooms and let the children escape which she was happy to do. Rin turned to the first locked door when Sam explained that he was going to the training room. She turned her head to face him, giving him a nod before getting to work. One by one, Rin unlocked the rooms as she was told. Some rooms were empty while others had a child in them. Some children ran out of the rooms with no questions asked while others where confused to what was happening. Rin would explained that they were free and to get away from this place as fast as they could. When she got to the last room there was a little girl inside who was about five. The girl was curled up in a corner crying and not moving. Rin tried explaining to the little one that it was okay and she was free to go but the girl was not moving.

Letting out a sigh, Rin walked into the room and kneeled down in front of the child. " It is alright… I will get you out of this place." She said sofly, slowly reaching her hand out to touch the child but before she could there was a arm wrapped around her neck. " Got one of you!" One of the men found her and tightly wrapped his arm around her neck, trying to choke her while pulling her away from the child. Rin let out a slight gasp of air as she was being pulled away and choked. Quickly she put her hands around his arm, trying to pull it away from her neck while she started backing up. The lavender haired woman used all her strength to run backwards to slam the man into the wall, trying to loosen his grip around her. She slammed her body over and over gain into him so that he would be slamming into the wall but it was not working the way she was wanting. Rin then bit into the mans arm hard, making the man scream a pit and loosen his grip. Rin slipped out of his grasp before turning and landed a few punches on the man in the face, hoping to knock him out as she was given the order not to kill. The man took the hits but did not get knocked out. He managed to tackle Rin to the ground and again when for her neck to choke her but this time with his bare hands.

The sound of the crying girl could be heard in the room. Rin tried to roll him off her, kick him, push, punch but it was not working as the man was much larger then her. A growl could be heard from Rin before the sounds of bones cracking could be heard. The male looked at her slightly confused at first before his ace turned to horror. Rins face slowly started to shift, her jaw popping out of place, becoming larger with large k-9 fangs coming out. " W-What the h*ll!?"From being startled by the slow shifting his grip loosened allowing Rin to attack. Rin lunged up at the man, letting out a bark as her teeth dug into the mans shoulder, making blood go all over her face. The sounds of screams filled the room from both the man and the little girl from the sight. A half woman and beast with her beastly fangs dug into a mans shoulder. From the blood lost and shock the man passed out and Rin slowly let go of the mans shoulder. The partly shifted woman turned to the little girl, her face covered in blood and her fangs still out. " Leave this place." She managed to growl out, making the poor little girl scream and cry in fear and run out of the room. Rin watched the little girl run out of the room in fear before slowly leaving the room.

She did not blame the little one or the man looking at her in horror. Slowly her teeth shifted back along with her jar and she was back to her normally self. If she got a little bit more carried away back there she would of fully shifted. She tried to whip the blood off her face the best she could with her sleeve before entering the training room where Sam was.

SAM
The Fighter

Rin would hear quite a bit of noise as she got closer to the training area. Going through the still intact doors she would see nothing but destruction. Whatever was in there before was unrecognizable at that point. Some big spikes of a silvery metal seemed stuck in random places. The only traces of Sam were the electric energy from where he used to be lingering for but a moment. There was one of those metallic looking spikes heading right for her, however. Then there was a tug on her arm before he pulled her close to him while still moving quickly. The spike planting itself into the ground. They ended up in the room which observed the training area from above--crouching down so they wouldn't see where he took Rin. The glass people used to look out of had been broken a while ago. Sam took a moment to catch his breath before he opened his mouth to speak only to close it again. He almost forgot they could talk to each other through their minds because of Carter.

"I'm going to have to electrocute her." He said in a tone which revealed he did not want to do such a thing even though it was said mentally. "There is a barrier around them with no oxygen. If you go in it the rest of the oxygen you are holding in is immediately taken out of you."

"Come out. Come out wherever you are~ You're just prolonging the inevitable. Even your friend can't help and you know it!"

Sam took the moment to point out who just spoke. "That was the coward hiding behind the kids. I can't get to him because they're protecting the b*****d." He took a quick look in the direction the three were before hiding again. At least she could find who he was talking about easier without getting seen. There was an adult in the far right corner and two kids about five feet in front of him. The girl looked to be around six years old and was currently softening the silvery metal before bringing it back to her. There was an older boy somewhat in front of her--maybe about nine years old. "She is constantly holding that metal flower. It'd be easy to electrocute her with it, but I don't know how high a voltage is too much for someone as tiny as her." He gave her another uncomfortable look before continuing. "Unless you have a better idea, I need you to distract them. When she is taken out you should be able to reach the b*****d." Noise could be heard below--as if they were trying to get them to come out. Sam was banking on the chance he either had a shitty peculiarity or one which wasn't useful in a fight. Based on the intel they have, he should be easy to take out once the other two were out of commission or too distracted. By the time he told her what needed to be said, his breathing returned back to normal. He wasn't hurt. It was just tiring zipping around almost consistently. He would have been a sitting duck if he stayed still.

xxxAs Rin got closer to the training room she could hear some commotion going on, making Rin speed up a little, worried that her partner for this mission was in trouble. When the woman arrived to the training room the first thing she saw was the electrical energy from Sam as he zipped around the room. She then noticed the large metal like spikes around the room, most likely what Sam was dodging. Her pale blue eyes shifted as she noticed one of those very same spikes head towards her. Before she could even think about moving out of the way there was a quick tug on her arm. in seconds, the next thing Rin knew was that she was in a different room and Sam was holding her close. She felt a little sick from the sudden fast movement for a moment as she looked around the room before looking up at Sam.

Electrocute her? Rin took a moment to take a peek at who he was talking about to see two children with a man who just spoke. He was using those children as a human shield! A low growl came from the lavender haired woman before she looked back at Sam. She was just a child, so small and frail so if Sam over did it, he could very well kill her. It was clear that the young man did not want to do it but what other choice did they have? " It is the only way. You just need a high enough voltage for her to drop that flower for you to zip in and take it right?" They just needed her let go of the flower long enough to strike. Noises could be heard down below, trying to draw them out. Rin took a look in the direction that the noise was coming from before she looked back at Sam. Slowly she raised her hand and patted his now blonde head. " You got this Sam." There was… A slight smile on her face? But only for a very brief moment.

The lavender haired woman then got up and walked over to the the broken window. There was some random buttons which she quickly pushed that made something across the room start moving but because of the destruction in the room what ever that button was meant to do did not work and made a loud terrible noise, indicating that something was wrong or it was stuck. This was the destruction she wanted so she could jump out the window without them noticing her jumping out of it. Quickly, Rin jumped out of the window without hesitation, not caring about the fall down. She rolled onto the ground to brake the fall a little, ignoring the pain the woman rolled onto her feet and started running. Rin would and quickly hide behind objects if there was a large metal spike going in her direction. She did get hit a couple times but the spike only just grazed her. If Rin had shifted she would be able to run faster but then she would also be a bigger target and the shift took a little time, giving them a window to attack.

SAM
The Fighter

He looked at her for a moment when she growled. It just reminded him of what she could transform into. Sam never saw it happen in person, but he did see her briefly in the other form and found out it was her later on. Drop the flower? Yeah, that should work. He was actually thinking along the lines of making her pass out, but perhaps what Rin suggested would work. He gave her a smile when she encouraged him. The fighter didn't realize he needed it. Now he felt a bit better about the plan. He watched her use the room they were in as a distraction. It was surprising anything remotely worked, but it got the job done. He zipped out of the room right after her. The young boy was watching for him--completely ignoring Rin. Smart. Too bad it wouldn't matter this time.

Sam was flying through the air. When he was about to end up over the girl he returned to normal speed. The boy shifted as he caught sight of him. It was too late to react, however. A charged bolt was sent screaming down and hit the girl's flower as his momentum let him fall off to the side. The little girl spazzed before falling into the boy's arms. The flower oozing out of her hand and onto the floor nearby. It's what happened to any of the spikes which were stuck in random places. Sam landed on the ground with a thud nearby--meeting the other's eyes a moment later. The boy didn't seem to be worried. Either she was passed out and relatively fine or already dead. Not having to protect her anymore, the kid went on the offense.

Meanwhile, the older guy was yelling at the older boy. He wanted him to focus on protecting him, but his pleas were falling on deaf ears. The man knew someone else was coming for him. It only made sense. As a last resort, he stopped pumping the kids with energy and stole it instead. This caused the boy to halt in his attack just to regain his footing and look back at the little girl on the ground. His eyes narrowed before his head snapped over to the adult he knew oh so well. Sam also started to feel some being taken from him after a second or two. It might have been because they were close to each other and the man didn't know where Rin was at the moment. If she wasn't already on him, Sam was about to deal with the issue since he didn't have to focus on the kids anymore. It was obvious the boy didn't care about fighting him anymore. The b*****d's plan was to expel all the energy he just took in, blast everyone away from him and make his escape. Whether he even made it to the attack part of his plan was uncertain.
