”No. Everything is in the car.” He confirmed before hopping into their four wheel drive vehicle. Where could the duo have possibly gotten it? Maybe they stole it, borrowed it, bought it like a normal citizen in the city….let your imagination run wild because this Narrator doesn’t have the answers. Anyhow, the man settled into his seat, tucked his Dumles in the vehicle’s side door pocket and buckled in. After Rin climbed into the car he gave the girl a solid minute before he was already driving off onto the road. Was that cruel? Maybe. Did he have any regrets of any fretting she might make? Absolutely none.
After driving a good distance away from the city and out into the wilderness, they finally arrived at their destination. Carter had been quiet for most of the journey with the exception of any desire that may have possessed him to retort to any of Rin’s words. Sometimes they were completely quiet, with the girl attempting to grab his candies and almost getting them killed in the process. Then there were times when Rin, being who she was in all of her Rinness, would make this trip memorable for all kinds of reasons. Safe to say that this drive was going into the memory banks.
”We’re here.” The car was turned off as the trunk was opened up. The area that Carter parked in was clear and away from any police activity. And, should you ask why this duo of Exiles was here, then the answer was entirely simple: to kill time. They were close to where the students were currently doing their little surviving camping trip. With binoculars in hand, food in the car to last them a week, and some surviving essentials to make this trip a bit more entertaining; they were doing nothing but chilling. ”I assume you are still planning on stalking Rebecca.” That wasn’t a question as his blank stare made eye contact with the girl. These were probably the two most non-expressive people in the whole Exile, but their talk had enough bite in it to make up for the lack of emotions. ”That’s creepy.”
