The tattoo artist then came by to check on Yukina, which was mostly for the older Koizumi's relief since she had waited for a bit longer than she should be. She pointed the design to the employee, who nodded and took the clear book for the transfer later on, to have the process beginning. While she was waiting for the cue, there was the raven-haired girl who was looking at her phone, the gesture implying that she may be another customer or someone wanting to apply for a job at the tattoo and piercings studio. Come to think of it, there were not much employees being active at the moment sans the two artists and the manager who opened the shop earlier. It would certainly mean one thing; the one in charge of the piercings was absent, which would suck for those who were asking for the adornments on the flesh. Shrugging a little, the barista then continued on with the browsing through the search engine.

Maybe Yukari should come there to have a tattoo as well, but not right now, at least not when she became a bit older in the future in terms of physical age. The next topic that Yukina was currently looking for at the search engine was recipes that she was willing to try out later at home. For now, it was Italian cuisine, especially pasta.

Yuko had been content, going through her social media account while standing near the white-haired woman. It was while she was watching a video of a cat getting stuck in a box that she jolted, suddenly remembering something. She pulled up her phone's Notes app, eyebrows furrowed as she looked at her list.

Right, she forgot she needed to do some grocery shopping.

The girl sighed, though inaudibly, as she looked at the list. Among other days, she would have enjoyed shopping for supplies to sustain her living through cooked meals. Nevertheless, it was still enjoyable for her, though it was a bit harder to walk home in the rain while trying to balance an umbrella and bags of groceries to be put away. She is still obliged to do so, however, seeing as they were running out of supplies too soon.

The only problem she was to face now is she didn't know where the grocery store was. She sighed through her nose, eyebrows furrowing more as she assessed her predicament. Slowly, her eyes traveled over to the white-haired woman, who was still on her phone. Maybe that was why she was led to this shop? It was high time that she started interacting with the other citizens here.

The girl hesitated, going back and forth between tapping the woman's shoulder, biting her finger, fidgeting, and stumbling over her words in her head. Her anxiety was gnawing at her now, as she repeated a mantra to 'get a grip.' Amaya floated nearby, watching the girl being overtaken by her nerves. Maybe she'd have helped out by taking over her body (like she has done so these past few days since they discovered her ability to do so), but she knows the girl was not yet comfortable witht he idea of another soul inhabiting her body. She herself still had some doubts about the whole thing, as well.

Yuko stared at the woman for a few more seconds, gnawing at her sweater's sleeve as she tried to get a hold of her emotions. She took a deep breath, then placed a hand on the woman's shoulder, wincing ever so slightly as she gauged the woman's reaction.

A beat too late, she forgot she needed to speak. Clearing her throat, she spoke, "A-h, excuse me. I happen to be new around here... So if you don't mind, I'd like to get some directions..." Yuko spoke in a controlled tone, though her voice had cracked at the beginning. The tips of her ears were slowly turning bright red by the minute, as were her previously pale cheeks, but she kept a nonchalant look trained on her face.

Amaya tried not to be worried, but still she hovered closer to the girl.

Yukina was looking at the option of using pesto as a way to add some vibrancy to the tomato sauce with interest, rubbing a finger against her own chin as she looked at the tip with interest. But still, her thoughts were impeded by the one who asked the question and Yukina raised an eyebrow, only to see that it was the raven-haired girl from earlier who spoke. "Ah, specify where you want to go exactly. Lots of places to come around here in this city, though the park will not be a good idea for hanging out unless the weather is sunny," she hoped that the small advice would help considering that the female wanted to go somewhere else after staying in the shop, mainly to settle down since the umbrella wouldn't be enough to combat against the cold. It was a good thing that Yukari asked if she would be wearing the coat before heading outside. Her mouth was about to speak more but the tattoo artist came by to eavesdrop on the two, though in a polite manner of course. The silver-haired simply mentioned about the design and the location before being escorted to a chair in which she would have the service rendered soon.

"You are free to ask more questions if you like, miss. Just don't expect me to move my arm that is soon to get marked," Yukina continued on, taking off her coat and handing it over to the raven-haired woman. "Just keep watch over my stuff, okay? That's all I can ask for." That was the favor that she implied before sitting down and putting her arm on the table, the one that would soon get tattooed by the artist themselves.

As Yuko spoke to the woman she promptly realized going out without a coat wasn't the best idea. She makes a mental note to do so next time then tunes back to what the woman was saying, and just in time too.

"Just keep watch over my stuff, okay? That's all I can ask for." The woman asked of her as she settled into the chair, arm at the ready to be inked by the artist present. "Of course." The girl obliged, grabbing a stool and sitting on the other side of the woman where she wouldn't obstruct the artist from their work. With the woman's belongings in her view, she started,

"I'd like to find out where the grocery store is in relation to this shop. I realize I still have some errands to run for the day." She paused for a bit, contemplating her next question. "Do you happen to know any place that is hiring? I have been considering getting a job, but I have not been here long so I do not know where everything is, and this is my first time coming out of the house in a long while." She confessed, frowning slightly. That sounded much better in her head.

'No matter, I have asked for her help. I should not burden her with my woes.' Yuko thought, wiping the frown off her face and returning to a neutral mask. "Never mind what I said, that is what I have to ask. Thank you as well for the advice, I will keep that in mind for the future." She bowed her head slightly to the woman, in reference to the bit about the park. She lifted her head, looking out the window. The rain was still pouring. Hopefully, it will subside by the time she decides to leave.

"Right, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Yuko. I hope we may get along well."

Briefly, she wondered if the woman can sense Amaya, who was now beside her as well. Yuko's gaze landed at the spot where Amaya floated for a second, but quickly returned to the woman. The soul observed the white-haired woman as if studying her, then returned to stand behind Yuko. She senses no ill will from the woman, so she decides not to intervene at any moment at this time.

As the spot was rubbed with the alcohol after the artist put on the gloves, Yukina raised an eyebrow on the raven-haired's question about the direction towards the grocery store. "If you are asking about the directions to the grocery store, it's a stone's throw from this tattoo shop. Five to seven-minute walk from here," she replied before questioning the artist if there were open job offerings available, and it turned out that there were indeed a few spots left for the taking. The silver-haired girl nodded as the needle started to mark her arm, skin burning a bit from the contact. "This tattoo shop indeed has a few positions available for the taking, specifically for a receptionist and a few more tattoo artists and one piercing artist. But if that doesn't suit your taste, there are others available, like the bookstore, the cafe where I'm working and the clothing store where my sister is currently working. Just feel free to ask the managers and know the requirements."

The burning sensation still remained as the design was imprinted onto the skin."Ah, no, it's not bad to ask. We do need help at times and we have to assist people, at least that's what I learned while working at the cafe," Yukina confessed as a response to the apology. When the introduction came around, there was a small smile crossing her face. "My name's Yukina Koizumi, so it's a pleasure to meet you, too. I live in Faelyn District and I share the house with my sister," her response was a short one but she hope that Kwon would get the message nonetheless, even with the breeze that became slightly chilly, and it's not just because of the weather outside.

"Ah, is it now?" Yuko mumbled. Though her face remained straight, inside she felt like throwing herself off a mountain for her foolishness. Of course she would miss it.

Her (visible) eye lit up in surprise when the female talked about job positions. "There are quite a few positions to be chosen from. Thank you for telling me." Yuko bowed her head in thanks.

"I think the bookstore will benefit you the most." Amaya spoke. Though Yuko could not respond at the moment, she managed a small smile at the soul's comment before turning back to her neutral mask. 'You only think that because there might be fewer people. I will have to think about this choice carefully, I suppose.'

Yuko tilted her head slightly at her words. "Is it now?" She paused, then smiled. "You must have wonderful co-workers if you can say that with certainty." The girl said. She didn't know why, but hearing those kinds of things puts her in a good mood. She nodded at the introduction. "I hope I'll be able to get to know you and your sister. You have been very kind to me, and I'm sure your sister is just as kind."

She checked her phone. She still had a bit of time until she needed to do whatever she needed to do. She locked her phone and turned back to Yukina and the artist, watching as the needle hit Yukina's skin and left ink, creating a design. "What does your chosen design mean?" Yuko asked, curiosity overcoming her. She felt more comfortable around her now, being able to ask such questions with ease. Amaya went around her and back to Yukina's side, looking at the design. She, as well, was curious about what it meant.

The female let out a small pout at the description of being called kind, and it was not because of the needle that still stung on her arm. "Just as long as you won't do anything to harm us both, we're both chill. I'm actually protective of my sister, you know?" That was the clarification that Yukina had to point out so that the other would get an idea that while both were used to helping people, they were not the ones taking any s---, though the swordswoman was actually braver than Yukari in terms of dealing with a-holes. At the question about the design, her answer was a short one. "Three circles, one of the magic symbols of the elves of Fyn. Symbolizing strength. That's my belief to protect my sister from harm."

But still, she felt the chill, meaning the female newcomer had company except that she couldn't sense the presence physically. "So, have you decided on what you wanna do to earn money, or you'll take your time?" she asked; she may have to help out if she had to, though having to conceal the freshly painted tattoo would be a challenge with the rain outside.

Yuko smiled at Yukina's comment of being protective of her sister, apparently not picking up on the clarification. "Yes, it is normal to feel protective of your family. Do not worry, I don't have any ill intentions towards either of you." She said to the female.

Family...

Yuko's smile faltered slightly, her words stopping short. She felt herself choke up a bit. It was still hard to talk about this, even after so many years have passed.

Hopefully, Yukina had not noticed. If she did, Yuko prays she would not ask anything about it, though she doubts that.

Amaya floated nearer to her, although still fixated on Yukina's tattoo. Her cold presence provided some reassurance to the girl, who bounced back from the momentary mood drop just in time to hear Yukina's short explanation of her tattoo. Yuko nodded, taking in the information as she slowly recovered.

That was a close one.

Yukina asked her about what job she would take, and she could feel Amaya's prodding stare. Yuko contemplated for a few moments, thinking of the soul's earlier words. "Well, my first option is the bookstore." Her answer was short and concise. "I was debating whether to drop by later or save it for another day, considering the rain and everything." She said honestly. The rain continued to pour outside and, given her weak constitution, she might not make it home without a few sneezes.

While Yukina was happy about Yuko getting the hint, something in her speech must had made the raven-haired flinch in melancholy. She was indeed curious if there was something wrong, but it would rude to ask, so she decided to drop the urge until the timing would be right, at least when the weather wouldn't be so bad like today. She nodded when Yuko mentioned about working at the bookstore someday. "So... you are a bookworm, huh? Good news; I'm also one, too, and I actually have a private library situated in my house together with my sister." As long as the ravenette would comprehend about the need to return books to proper places, again, they would be chill about her. "Better do it tomorrow if the rain won't be so bad, or when the weather becomes sunny in a few days. Weather can be truly unpredictable at times."

That time, the first circle was almost done, as if she was bitten by a hundred ants. However, it would take more than that to make her flinch completely,

Yuko's eye lit up when Yukina revealed herself to be a bookworm. She did not often meet another person with such interest, though it was not surprising since she has trouble dealing with social situations. "Yes, I am an avid reader. I find reading to be a wonderful hobby, especially since it has a relaxing effect on me as well as it exercises my imagination. I'm glad to have met someone who shares the same interest as I do." She nodded when the silver-haired female mentioned their private library. "Wow, you have a private library? I myself have a modest collection of books that I keep in my room. It's one of the things that I take care in handling the most, especially how they are placed back and arranged." She smiled fondly.

She nodded in response to Yukina's comment on the unpredictable weather. "Indeed, the weather can be quite surprising. Hopefully, better weather will come by soon." She looks out the shop's window. The rain continued to pour, the sky as overcast as ever.

Some time after the conversation, there was silence, with the only noises penetrating the wall being the rain as well as the needle. Once the tattoo was done for, the skin burned from the work, so there was the small tint of redness, but otherwise, the work was done for and Yukina couldn't wait to show that to her sister soon. However, there would still be sanitary procedures to lessen the risks of infection, so the tattoo was bandaged for the moment and she was given procedures on how to wash the part gently. The older Koizumi stood up from the chair carefully while glancing at Yuko with a look that meant curiosity. "Since you mentioned going to the grocery store, what do you usually cook at home? I have a feeling that you are living on your own."

Maybe expanding the other's repertoire in cooking would be nice so that she wouldn't be stuck with the same thing over and over again.But Yukina still had to known Yuko's food preferences just to be sure.

Time passed by as they sat in silence, the rain and the whirr of the needle the only ones to make noise, though not invasive. The silence was comfortable, as Yuko switched between watching over Yukina's belongings, watching the ink appear on the silver-haired female's arm, and watching the fall of the rain outside.

Amaya had gone on to roam around the room, looking at the different objects that littered the shop. She knew Yukina had sensed her, though she knew not if the female knows what she is.

Soon enough, the whirring had stopped. Yuko and Amaya both admired the tattoo, surrounded by redness and wonderful to look at. Yuko watched the tattoo artist cover it up, as part of their sanitary procedures, and the female stood up.

Feeling the silver-haired's gaze on her, she looked up and met the other's curious gaze with her own neutral gaze. She asked what types of food the girl usually cooked, making a guess that she lives alone. "Ah, yes I do live alone."

Well, technically there's two of them, but she doesn't need to know that.

"I usually cook Japanese or Korean dishes as those were taught to me by the elders from my hometown, but I've dabbled in cooking Western dishes. Mostly salads, really." She confessed. She hadn't thought to try making other dishes yet, always forgetting to organize and buy everything.

She heard the answer clearly, though the chilly feel from earlier made her feel otherwise. However, in order not to make Yuko feel anxious even further, Yukina decided to drop the question entirely, at least for now. "We should both make chicken karaage then. One of the Koizumi family favorites and my sister and I cooked that occasionally whenever there are recipes available. Although... I'm curious about the salads. Another valid reason to head to the grocery store and I'll lead you on the way." But before that, Yukina paid the tattoo artist for the service before putting on the coat and fetching her bag and umbrella. When she looked back at Yuko, there was a small sliver of a smile.

"Need a lift?" she questioned, and while still waiting for the reply, she headed back outside. For now, calling a cab may suffice for this moment for the protection against the rain.

Yuko, upon hearing Yukina's suggestion, nodded, a small smile on her face. "That sounds wonderful. If you'd like, I can show you the salad recipes I've studied, and we can make them together sometime too." She offered in return. She was glad their interaction played out well, as she stood up from her seat. Amaya moved back to her initial position behind the girl, satisfied that the girl felt happy from this encounter. She definitely needed this, after being cooped up in the house with her own emotions for too long, or at least that's what Amaya thought.

Yukina turned back, and Yuko could swear she saw something like a smile on her face. The offer to ride with the silver-haired female surprised her, but she quickly recovered and smiled back with the same, small smile she always showed. "Thank you, I'll take you up on that offer." They followed the silver-haired outside, the cold air hitting Yuko's face.
