She shook her head to get the bubbles of Faygo out. She had to get to that finish line if she wanted it, not lost in her own fantasies! The juggalo pushed herself, to make up for lost time, and screamed as she passed the finish line. She made it! And the Faygo was hers! "Take THAT ********> The juggalo yelled to no one but her own daemons as she cracked open the can and guzzled down the drink. "Your up, right Sephos?" She asked, a big grin on her face. Sephos would ace this thing, but she could still cheer him on!

Sephos nodded. He knew the rules - he was supposed to run.

To the finish.

He took the baton from her and did so. It was a lot like the time he'd gone to Bloodfest, or the time he'd gone to the Superstar thing, or... any of those times. Running was not as bad as it looked, and it looked atrocious and hard.

But in truth...

Sephos generally did not run. He was never in a hurry, and his lusus had always told him to never be "hasty" or rush. So he didn't. This was different. He didn't dislike running.

When his feet slipped on the dirt and he staggered, he didn't like that, but the running itself... pleasant. Very pleasant.

Punkie watched as Sephos seemed to effortless stride his way forward. She had some cheers lined up, and she was excited to use them. With green and orange pom poms in hand, she jumped up and down. "SEPHOS SEPHOS! IF THAT b***h CANT DO IT NO ONE CAN!" The juggalo yelled at the top of her lungs.

He took some time to make sure his feet hadn't gotten tangled, and that he wouldn't trip. Punkie had fallen hard, and it had looked bad. Not as bad as swimming while tied to another person, or surfing ON another person, but still pretty painful and dusty.

Her cheer was a little... more than a little... startling, but it was ALSO not so bad. In fact, he kind of... liked... it? Either way, some feeling was making run just a little faster...

Punkie's cheering only increased in volume as things progressed. "GIMEE A "S" GIMEE AN "E" GIMEE A "P" GIMEE A "H" GIMME AN "O" GIMME A "S"!!! Punkie took a second to catch her breath, but continued with gusto "Whats that spell?! MY ******** BUDDY SEPHOSSS!!!"

Sephos tried to go a bit faster, just to push at tthe idea for a little, only to realize that speed really wasn't his thing. He staggered again, then took it slow. He knew he was supposed to go fast, he just...

It hurt a little.

He compromized and made it a jog instead. Maybe he needed to be warmed up more? Maybe he just... couldn't?

Sephos jogged along and hoped that the gasping for air would just go away. It hurt. It was uncomfortable. He'd done some stretches, so why was it hurting? Maybe he needed to take an actual break, instead of taking it a little slow.

No. He couldn't do that. He had to... Just... '********

... RUN.

Sephos made a break for it, legs scrambling as he moved them faster than he had ever moved them before. His eyes teared up as wind whipped his face.

He wasn't sure if he could keep up a full on, fast paced, sprint like this. He didn't know - he'd never done it before. Put him in the woods, on solid ground, and he could walk around and carry stuff and dig all day.

Running was a completely different howlbeast. And the goal was suddenly so close...

Punkie had switched it up, now she was using the small confetti cannons she had used at her superstar booth to shoot confetti into the air around Sephos. She was a little worried it might get in the greenblood's way, but at the same time, it was important to make him feel cheered for!

"Augh!" Sephos crashed into the confetti and careened ahead, past the finish line and a little ahead as he stumbled to a halt. Oddly, he wanted to keep jogging a little in place. His blood was pumping, his body was on fire, he was so...

???
Pumped? Energized? Sephos didn't know. He turned to Punkie, a startled smile on his face.

"I... we... did it!"
