[PRP] Movie night [America/Shun]

Well that was... different. Shun stared at the table, not expecting this turn of events in the slightest. Furrowing his brow, he brought his hand up towards America so that he might be able to set her down onto the table.

"I do not do love anyway," he scoffed before glancing at the menu, "I still do not really trust the food in Other Ashdown..."

It was, in fact, mostly a dessert and snack menu. There was not much in the way of actual food because, after all, it was theatre.

As if there would be full course meals.

The not-quite-faceless waiter appeared, as if out of nowhere, and stood motionless as if it was waiting for an order from the pair.

... though if one looked at the menu, they might notice on the corner, under a smudge of dirt, there was a date. 1? NO? ???7 It was barely readable.

"That's just weird," stated the three inch tall girl as they sat in an enchanted Otherworld theatre in hopes of saving a deer boy. "You gotta love something, Shun," America lectured, dancing around the table as she ordered a banana split because those were always pretty huge and maybe today was the day she died from a sugar coma and didn't have to call the dead mom she'd never met.

"Maybe you love chocolate, and should like, order some! Maybe you love fightin' crime," she punched the air a few times for emphasis. "Maybe you love not lovin' stuff, you ever think of that?"

Shun did glance over the menu, then scoffed, "I enjoy things, sure. But I do not know if I can say I 'love' any of those things."

The detective shook his head, then set the menu down. As he did so, he noticed the little smudge in the corner.

"Oi... What does that say there?" he asked. It was hard to make out, especially for him.

Their waiter continued to linger nearby but there was a definite sense of they had to order something. Otherwise how would they be able to enjoy what was showing properly?

"A banana split, please! Thank you!!!" The faceless waiter got a cheery two handed wave.

Looking at the text, America answered, "It's one something...Novemeber? Somethingity-seven!" She tried to scrub a hand over the dirt.

Shun stared at the waiter, "Popcorn, I guess."

He really didn't want it but the faceless one kept lingering around. Turning his attention back to America, he tilted his head.

"November... Can you make out the year?"

With a wave of it's hand, the motion still strange and fluid and smooth, the treats that the two requested appeared on the table. They were, in fact, quite edible and tasted amazing.

A finger was then held up to their lips before they pointed towards the screen. The movie was about to start and the curtains were drawing back to reveal a screen on the stage.

It was hard to look away from the tower treat before her, there was a cherry the size of her head!!!! But America, now wearing what was basically a hat of whipped cream, finally managed to fix her attention properly onto the screen as the show began to start.

There was no way America was going to be able to eat a fraction of her movie treat in her current state.

Shaking his head, he tentatively ate one piece of popcorn. It was far better than he expected. Granted, his expectations had been pretty low.

As the curtains drew back, he shifted his attention over to the screen.

It was like an old reel of film that was having trouble coming into focus. Everything was blurred until suddenly it was not. Two young women were on the screen, talking and pouring over notes.

Adoelle and Noeh.

Noeh was biting at her lip as she read over things, glancing over to Adoelle more than once, before she would start to write notes down.

"You think they're dating?" America asked, nibbling at a giant chunk of syrup covered walnut and straining to get a look at any of the writing.

Shun tilted his head as Adoelle and Noeh came up onto the screen.

"I... do not think so?" he muttered to America. He could be wrong though. Squinting, he tried to see what was being written down.

There was nothing remotely romantic about their interactions. Instead, they were working on something else instead. The camera panned and it was clear, after a moment, that they were working on another sigil.

Noeh looked to be working under Adoelle's instruction.

"Man, do you think they left us a notebook for this one too?" Even full of ice cream, there was apparently still enough room in America for optimism.
