Shiloh got the innuendo pretty well. "I mean," He laughed, "I guess I could try." He never envisioned his life tying into growing magic weed for some stoner, but he was trying to move out with Jamie and it would be a quick buck, maybe. If it worked.

Whoever the hell this guy was anyway. Shiloh blinked a few times in the blinding rays of the sun.

"Born ready, dude."

Bud wiggled out of the hood and down Wil's shoulder to sit in his lap and watch the cards. The blonde set them down and pushed them out in a row.

"Concentrate-" His voice was low, "And pick 6."

"Okay, okay..." He stared at the row of cards, hand waving over them as he debated inwardly. His fingers wiggled. He plucked one, two, three...

...six, and he handed them back to Wil. "So what's it say doc? Terminal?" he cracked a smile.

Wil lined the six cards up in a line before gathering the rest of the deck up and setting it aside. Bud decided he should investigate but was shooed back when it seemed like he was going to steal a card.

"Never done a bad reading-" Wil smiled as he turned the first card over.

"Death." He said it ominously but after a pause and a grave expression, his smile was back, "Which is pretty accurate I guess. So this card is your current state of affairs. Death means an end to something, drastic change. Maybe you even feel like stuff is falling apart or out of your hands but.. it also means a new beginning is coming. A fresh start."

"Well that doesn't sound concerning or anything." He said at the presentation of the card. "But it seems pretty legit," what with how the world was changing and how different everything had become. Things were definitely spiraling out of his control, but when he stopped, took a deep breath...

"Especially about the fresh start." He laughed at Bud, eyeing the other cards, "Alright, what's next?"

"Nest should be what you are looking for right now.."

Wil looked at Shiloh, a measured glance, slow, deliberate, before he flipped another card (so mystical).

"The Devil," Wil laughed a little, "You're very dramatic it seems at first glance-" between the death and devil cards, "But again it's not so bad.."

Wil tapped the devil blazoned on the card, "So maybe what you want most in the world you don't have.. And not having it only makes you want it more.." He looked up at the other, "And sometimes you think about going about things the wrong way.. to get things you'd want."

The blonde smiled a bit, "So just be careful okay?"

Shiloh might not have thought so, but Wil hit the nail on the head; dramatic at first glance was a very quick summary of Shiloh's actions, thoughts, motives, existence...

He gulped, telling himself that he wasn't getting into this despite picking out subtle truths in all of Wil's words. Still; death, devil... this was all a little ominous, foreboding, slightly concerning. "Y-Yeah, careful, got it." He stared at the third card.

He already had what he wanted most, right? He thought about Jamie, except—well, he adored Jamie, but love wasn't exactly something he thought he'd be searching out. Rather, it sort of fell into his lap (not that he was complaining). He thought about the world too, and how he was a principal, and how easy it could be for him to mess things up again...

"The next card are your fears.." Wil was watching his face and Bud, bored with the way the humans were a bit quiet and still, ended up back in Wil's hood only moments later.

The card flipped.

"The Tower." It was appropriately, a Rider-Waite deck and the cracked tower greeting them with fire lightning and falling bodies, "You are bothered by the changes happening. Maybe you thought you were fixing a problem but it got confusing.. maybe spiraled out of control.. And now you're confused that what you did wasn't right."

Wil smiled though, "There's no right and wrong dude.. It's all about your choices so make the best of it."

He tried not to wince at the thematic card; something about Raider-Waite and fire and people dying only served to bring up memories of Blackfriars, not that it was really Wil's fault.

"You think so?" His resolve was starting to waver slightly because he was really buying into all of this. "I guess it makes sense. Not everything is so black and white, right?" He smiled sheepishly. "What's next?"

"Nice.." Wil said with a smile as he flipped the next card, "Temperance. You're state of being right now is awesome according to this."

The angel with flowing water sat peacefully under the touch of his finger, "Despite all the confusion you are in a really good place right now according to this so finding confidence should be easy. Just go with the flow man.."

He looked up at Shiloh, almost like he was inquiring if that was true, but with enough confidence not to ask.

There was the sound of chewing but Wil didn't seem to care or hear it from his hood area.

Shiloh poofed up at something that seemed positive for once. "I mean, I've had some good things happen to me recently. It's helped." He thought about Jamie and got a little bashful. It was a shaky stability, given all his new responsibilities.

Shiloh did hear the chewing though, "Uh, Bud..."

Hearing his name, Bud's head popped back up over Wil's shoulder though he seemed to have a hoodie string in his mouth that he'd possibly chewed through the edge of the hood to acquire. The ferret twitched and wriggled and tumbled back into the hood looking like he was accidentally wrapping himself up in it.

Wil seemed unphased.

He noticed the subtle change in the other young man's features, the worried edge from the ominous cards lightening the mood. He could always see when the vagueries of the cards struck notes with people, most often too private to share their life circumstances for fear a shady fortune teller may use it against them, but it was the thinking that gave weight to what he did.

"The only thing working against you right now," Wil flipped another card and smile, "The Sun."

Which didn't seem so ominous at all.

"Which only means there may be hiccups along the way but nothing serious. Don't sweat the small stuff but don't get big in the britches over how good things are going, yea? And it'll all be fine."

"Well, that doesn't sound bad." Not like death and devils did anyway. Bud's wriggling made him snort, even more so by the fact that Wil gave absolutely zero shits to the fact that his hoodie was getting absolutely trashed.

"I'll keep that in mind, yeah." Did that mean that even the big things might not have as much weight as he thought? Maybe it was a face value thing. Maybe it was all a matter of perspective. Have a healthy, cautious optimism about things. He could dig it.

"What's next Chief?"

"Only one more-" Wil wiggled his fingers over the last card, "Which tells us where you're going and what this all amounts to."

The chewing sounds resumed.

The card was very delicately flipped, a woman in a crown and a scepter serenely smiling at them from the picture, "The Empress. Which is pretty good. This is a sweet a**, productive time for you. Anything you want to start, projects or maybe something new you wanted to jump into and haven't yet? Now's the time."

Wil grinned, "New business arrangements...?" His brows raised, "She's like abundance and joy and all the good s**t."

Wil reached into his hood and pulled out the ferret who was cradled like a baby and had his stomach scratched, "What did I tell you? Never did a bad reading."

Shiloh blinked a few times, really took it all in, digested it all in his brain. "Guess you weren't wrong." He was looking at the final card before trailing back to the others; death, devil, tower, temperance, sun, empress....

He took a deep breath. He laughed.

"That's pretty sweet man." He eyed Bud as he nestled in Wil's arms. He didnt know if ferrets really that cuddly, or was Bud just that tame, but either way it was cute. "Seems like a lot for only a dollar. You sure you don't want more?"
