Lana blinked as she heard a familiar voice call out for her. "Oh! Hey there." Lana suddenly realized she was without a name for the young delivery boy, but she smiled as he offered his accompaniment. "Long as ya can manage to keep yer hands to yerself, ah'd be glad ta have th' company." She teased, nodding as he assumed that she would be heading off to try the island challenges as well. "Dakota huh? That's a western name if ah ever heard one." She grinned, though it settled back down into a neutral expression as she gave him a once over, inspecting his other features for a moment before continuing. "Given those duds though, ah'd say ya look more like a Johto man." She guessed, quite the interesting combination. She couldn't help but laugh at his suggested nickname, though it was a gleeful laugh, not a mocking one. "Ducky? Now ain't that just the cutest nickname ah ever heard~ Nice ta meet ya Ducky." She giggled, shaking his proffered hand before noting his new pokemon. "Now that's a litten of a different color." She pointed out, admiring the litten's unusual white coloration.
Aristotle looked at the litten as well, but only because he could feel the cat's eyes on him. ('What are you staring at, mongrel?') He puffed. He and Mizuki hadn't exactly been on the best of terms during their time in the lab, and it was clear that wouldn't be changing now that they had trainers. Cynthia only started paying attention to Lana's group when Ducky arrived, more specifically, when his handsome friend came with him and hit on her. Finally, someone who knew how to treat a lady. ('My, what a charmer you are~ You got a name to go with that body honeybuns?') She asked with a smirk, glancing to Wilbur to translate for her, but the grumpig looked at the zoroark for what he was without saying a word. No need to put in that extra effort of telepathing to something that already understood her. All that work just made him hungry....

Now that he'd officially met his little felines, it was time to get going on their journey. Though, he didn't think it was a good idea to start training where they were. He would rather go to Kalos, but he was not taking another train back home so damn soon."Alright. Let's look around. Maybe we'll go to Iki Town."It was his first time in Alola, so he did want to check out the region. There was also a Meowth variant in Alola that he wanted to find. Alejandro looked down when Reina started climbing up his leg and arm until she was sitting on his shoulder and he smiled."Want a ride, huh? What about you two? I've got another shoulder."No. They were not interested. Shrugging, Alejandro reached up and pet Reina before he started down the road.
Kent arrived in Route 1 after meeting with Professor Kukui and just stood at the top of the meadow, staring out at the beautiful landscape around him. "Man, Alola really is different from Johto, huh bud?" Kent said to himself before looking over at the Pikachu still perched on his shoulder. Pikachu nodded back in agreement.
Kent looked down the route a bit and saw several large palm trees lining the beach. "What do you say we get ourselves a vantage point and take a few shots?" He said before jogging down towards the beach. The trees were larger than most he had seen in the other regions, and only had leafage near the top, which seemed weird. None-the-less the top would provide enough height to take some pictures of the whole area. He held out his arm and Pikachu hopped onto the trunk and started climbing vertically, and Kent wrapped his arms around and started climbing up himself. "Race you to the top!"
Humming the tune of a song he heard in a movie once while he climbed the trunk of this thirty-something foot tall tree, it didn't take long for the buff photographer to climb close to the top. He locked his legs around the trunk and took out his camera and started snapping photos of the area. He could have sworn he saw a large red blur in frame for a second, but before he could check the he suddenly felt the tree under him shift and he wrapped his arms around the trunk to keep himself from falling. Looking down, he saw a pair of legs emerge from the sand at the base of the tree as it started movie. That's when he heard a voice above him. "Guuuuutor" the three voices chimed simultaneously as Kent looked up and saw three egg-shaped faces looking at him with various expressions.

"Oh wow! I didn't realize Exeggutor could grow so tall. Hey there, uh... strech." Kent said, moving his gave between the Pokemon's three faces. "Sorry for climbing up you like this. Here, have a berry." The photographer continued, reaching into his bag and feeding the center head an Oran Berry. The Alolan Exeggutor smiled at the trainer and craned its neck down so Kent and Flash could easily hop off, which he did before patting the tree Pokemon's leaves. The Exeggutor lifted its head back up, and Kent called out to the Pokemon before walking away. "Thanks for the lift there, big guy!"
Kent started walking, but realized quickly that he was being followed by the thirty-foot tall Pokemon. He turned around and it stopped too, before its tail wrapped around and a fourth, angrier face stared at him for a moment. Then it opened its mouth and revealed an Oran Berry that it than began to chew with a cheerful expression on its faces. "Say, I could really use some height for some of my photos here. Wanna tag along with me?" Kent asked the tail-face. The face seemed to think for a second while chewing before nodding, and the top heads also chimed it. "Guuu~"
"Awesome, welcome to the party, Stretch!" Kent said with a chuckle. He then pulled out one of the Pokeballs Kukui gave him and tapped it against the Exeggutor's face, catching it.

Freddy skipped gingerly out of Professor Kukui's laboratory. A new Pokeball in his hand, as he stepped into his flip flops. As Cecil, his girafarig stepped down into the sand also, Freddy and he exchanged nods. It was time to meet their new friend. "Rowlet GO!" Freddy shouted, throwing the ball into the air. Expecting the Rowlet to flutter down in front of them, the glaring light settled on the tail of Cecil the Girafarig. The tail didn't seem to mind as much as Cecil who was briefly startled. Rowlett ruffled it's feathers and settled down, beginning to sleep.
"Hey Rowlet, wake up buddy." Freddy said, poking a finger at it's feather bow. It blearily opened one of its eyes in recognition of the poke, but failed to react otherwise. Freddy felt around in the pockets of his shorts and produced an apple. He rubbed it against his shirt before hovering it under Rowlet's beak. It didn't take long for Freddy to have the Pokemon eating out of his hand.
Freddy approaching the Rowlet and scratched under it's beak which it seemed to enjoy enough. "How do you feel about the name Owliver? Huh Rowlet?" Freddy asked. Rowlet appeared to ponder it for a second and then cooed in approval. "Great. This here is Cecil. I hope you two will get along" Girafarig chirped a greeting, as did the tail which forced Rowlet to retreat to a spot on Freddy's shoulder.
It was at this point the Toucannon appeared.

The wind swept up by the Toucannon's wings as it came in to land was mighty, kicking up sand from all around. Closing it's vast wingspan, it grumbled over towards Freddy. Pushing out it's chest, it produced a satchel, swung around it's neck. Freddy popped his hand into the satchel and pulled out a letter, addressed to Frederick Chaucer. "Oh hey that's for me. Thanks Toucannon" Freddy said, going to open the envelope, only to find it begin to get incredibly hot. He looked up to see the beak of the Toucannon become redder and darker in colour. Steam began to erupt from the beak and it's eyes grew narrower. Cecil nudged Freddy's bag to make him realise.
"Oh. Sorry Toucannon. Of course, thanks" Freddy said, depositing some coins back into the satchel. Immediately things cooled and once more the Toucannon was airborne and away in a kick of sand. Freddy sat down with his Pokemon and read the note.

It's been some time cousin! I mean cousin because we're family and not like that Kukui fella who used to come round Aunt Maises house sometimes! I hope everything is going well for you brother! I mean brother in the not familiar sense!
I heard you just left that school in Blackthorn! Congratulations! It's a shame you aren't still in Johto though. I would have popped by. Oh I forgot to mention. I swam to Kanto and am on a Pokemon Journey too now! Believe it right? Met these two fellas when I picked up a partner Pokemon and now we're travelling the country. We just made it to Vermillion City! Just about to take on for my third League Badge. I've battled these guys Brock and Misty. It was super close but I spent like a month in a cave training, so I made it. Can't believe the stuff we've ended up doing. This one guy Hayes always manages to get into trouble. Nearly got mixed up with a Pokemon's DNA at this guy Bill's house in Cerulean City! My friend Matt had to pull him out of the machine. It was so funny. I just sat there laughing.
Anyway. I need your help buddy. I'm on a boat at the moment. The SS Anne, so I had to send this by TouCANNON get it? Got here super quick. I've managed to send them over but couldn't get a good video connection. I've sent you my good buddies Wani-Wani and Sani-Sani. They need some time to chill out and I thought, hey. I'll send them to my good cousin Freddy's place on Alola! Cheers not family brother but family cousin! I need to run.

Freddy smiled. His cousin Teddy was an eccentric type. He always spent his summers on Melemele island swimming. The two of them were keen swimmers and would often race. Unfortunately after Freddy left for Johto, he didn't see Teddy as much as he often worked over the Summer. He couldn't believe he had sent him two Pokemon though. He thought he should make his way to the Pokemon Centre at some point to see them. Returning his Pokemon to their balls, he looked out at the horizon. Teddy's journey was underway. Now it was time for Freddy.

Ducky smiled as she agreed to his company, holding a hand up. "I promise to keep my hands to myself." he confirmed, then dropped his hand to introduce himself to Lana, who commented on his name and clothes before shaking his hand. "Yeah, my mom insisted on the name. I am from Johto though! My grandfather runs a dojo in Blackthorn City." he replied. He wasn't too surprised that someone looking at his clothes could guess that he's from Johto. After all, he was still wearing the traditional garb of his family. He was just used to it by now. Ducky grinned as Lana seemed to like his nickname, thinking it was cute. "Isn't it? It's grown on me. It's nice to meet you too, Lana." he commented. Lana's attention soon was on Mizuki, commenting on the unusual coloring of the litten. Ducky gave the cat a scratch behind the ear. "Yeah, I didn't expect to get a Litten of this coloring from Kukui, but I love her all the same. I named her Mizuki." Ducky commented, oblivious to the volatile interaction that was being had between Mizuki and Aristotle.
("A stuck up bag of feathers.") Mizuki retorted, licking her paw. She didn't much like that rowlet in particular. She was glad the one that was her team mate wasn't too bad. The litten and the other trainer's rowlet, however, had quite a few altercations before in the lab. Chikako remained silent, not interested in getting involved. Instead, she turned her head 180 degrees to look behind her at the interaction going on with the Lopunny.
Daiki smirked at the bunny's response. "You can call me later." he said with a wink. "Or whatever might get me a taste of your honeybuns~" he added rather smoothly, vulpine grin clear on his face. The illusioned fox had no issue with looking the way he did and talking like this to other pokemon - he was even tempted to give her a tap on that behind of hers after having caught sight of the little ball of fluff that was her tail, wiggling about. "Name is Daiki. Your name must be Angel, 'cause i feel blessed." he finally gave her his name proper. He didn't bother paying any mind whatsoever to the grumpig, too focused on flirting with this lady bunny.

Her search once more continuing. Eline, and her ragtag group of Pokemon joined in once more. Now with another pair of eyes on the table, it would become much more likely they'd run into the Zygarde Core or cell. Unknowingly, Lithium was a blessing in disguise. The illusionist was the perfect Pokemon to pick out a Pokemon that went invisible. Lithium's brow quirked for a moment as she took a puff from her pipe. Lowering it, she motioned towards a small gathering of rocks near the beach. 'Eline.' She spoke. 'There, that is what you were looking for, correct?' With a swift motion of her hand, what appeared to be a rock fell from seemingly nowhere, startling a creature under them, it quickly dashed out of the way of the falling rock, unknowingly revealing itself. "Oh!" The white-haired female exclaimed, holding up her scanner. "It is! Good job, Lithium!" Eline's pace quickened as she approached the creature. It's larger eye widened, and frantically it looked around for an escape, Eline fell to her hands and knees, tossing her invention to the side. "A Zygarde Core!" Though... something was off about it. "You.... you don't look like any Core I've seen pictures of. Neon, some help please?" The Zygarde core, wiggled, back, letting out a deep 'glululu' towards Eline. She returned her gaze to the odd coloured Zygarde, shaking her head. "You don't need to be afraid of me. I'm not here to capture you, well, not in the 'gonna-use-you-for-evil' sense." Eline explained, feeling that was what made it unsettled. She then got an idea, holding up a hand to hold up the scale into the sunlight. "See this? I once knew a Zygarde Core, and I want to say we became like best friends. They saved my life, and I've been kind of obsessed since then." Eline couldn't hide the rather nervous laughter, if felt odd admitting she had a obsession.
The core, however. Seemed to ignore everything Eline had said until she held up the scale. The core moved forward a bit, to get a better look, but it was certain. That scale... It was his. 'You.' It began. 'The girl... Eline, wasn't it?' Eline's nervous laughter halted, as she returned her gaze to the core. It spoke!? "Y-yes, that's me." She nodded. "Do you know the core I speak of?" She inquired. 'Of course. Because I am that core.' He replied. Eline fell back to her butt, staring in disbelief. "Buh.... What happened to you? You're all... different?" The core shook his head, hopping up to one of the rocks to be more eye-level with Eline. 'Much happened after we separated. I came across another human, much like you, who was kind and cared for others more than themselves. I... I don't know what happened to that human, My mind feels rather... confused when I try to remember them.' He explained. 'As for how I returned to Alola, I cannot remember that either. But seeing you, still wearing that scale, I am glad to be here.' Eline gave a quick nod. She looked like she was about to cry.
Though, the mood was quickly ruined when her invention, that had previous been tossed to the side, started beeping abruptly. Eline leaned over and picked it up, finding the blip had moved, again. But she'd found the core hadn't she? 'What is that?' The core asked. "It's my invention. I made it to track down Cores and Cells, but... well, it's not that good. It says there is another Core or Cell nearby, but.. you're right here." She explained. 'Oh, no. Another of my brethren is here. He ran off sometime ago when I decided to take a nap. Here Eline, take this, and we can travel together.' Watching the core hop behind a rock, a moment later a ball rolled out. Catching it before it fell to the ground, Eline held it up with a smile. "Glad you have you, Uh...." She paused for a moment. "Can I call you Nobelium?" The core cocked it's head to the sick, rather confused by the name. 'I don't understand, but I see no harm it in.' He replied. 'Call me whatever you wish.' He added. Hopping up onto Eline's shoulder, the white-haired fem nodded. "Alright, Nobelium it is." She grinned, giving off a light-hearted chuckle.

Oh, there's the person who was in there with me. Hayes immediately noticed after he'd stepped out of the shack and onto the beach, shielding his eyes from the bright sun overhead after recognizing him; he'd probably have to get used to that around here. ...I can't be ungrateful about the weather if it's this nice, though, aha. He chuckled inwardly as he stepped out onto the beach, looking around after he'd adjusted to the sunlight - it wasn't too busy out on the beach, he realized, only seeing a couple people on it including the person he'd encountered before. He'd probably need to get back and pick up his Pokemon at the Center soon, but it wouldn't hurt to introduce himself before he went on his own way.
"Oh, hey there!" He called out to the trainer as he stood on the beach looking out at the horizon, which reminded him a bit of a couple of the beaches around home. It looked like he'd returned the Pokemon he'd had out earlier to it's Pokeball, which was a shame; it hadn't been one he'd recognized. "Or... Alola?" Hayes smiled, thinking he looked the part of a local... or at least someone who'd gotten accustomed to the region. "I didn't get the chance to introduce myself in there, but I'm Hayes." He added after he'd walked over to him. Oh, I didn't introduce myself to the man in there, either... Hayes realized as soon as he'd said his name, but he put it out of his mind for the moment as he held out a hand after introducing himself.

Lana nodded approvingly as Ducky promised to keep his hands to himself. As flirty as he had been, at least he seemed to respect her boundaries. Well, so far at least. "Ah was gonna head to Ten Carat Hill fer some trainin', if ya wanna come." Lana spoke up, figuring if they were going to travel together, she should probably share her traveling plans. "Yer pa has good taste." Lana suggested with a grin as Ducky explained the origins of his name. She rather liked the name Dakota. She could see herself maybe naming her own little boy Dakota someday in the future, if she had one. It wasn't hard to tell that Ducky was from Johto origin though rather than western, but it was good to hear Ducky confirm this just to be sure. "A dojo? That's like a Johto term for school right? What do they teach there?" She asked curiously before commenting on the interesting colored litten Ducky had gotten from Kukui. "Mizuki huh? Sure sounds pretty. Ah named my Rowlet Aristotle. Wilbur here's been translatin' fer me an' Aris seems to be the 'distinguished' type." She gave a wry half smile, indicating there was a bit more to the story that she wasn't going to elaborate on while the bird was around.
Speaking of Aris, he puffed up at Mizuki's insult. ('Hmph. This 'bag of feathers' will hit much harder than one if you don't mind your manners and quit staring, I assure you.') He quipped, fluttering up onto Lana's shoulder as a perch when they began to move for the mountain cave. Cynthia grinned as Daiki suggested she could call him 'later'. That was a fun play on words. He was certainly well versed in pickup lines. ('Ha~ For a human, you certainly are bold, flirting with a pokemon.') She chuckled. ('Daiki huh? Well I can be your angel if you'd like, but I'm certainly no saint.') Cynthia gave a light smirk. Wilbur didn't mind being ignored by the zoroark. Frankly, he wanted no part in Cynthia's weird games. He did however, clear his throat to try and get their attention, seeing as the group was moving and they were still far to focused on each other to notice or care. ('What do you want?') Cynthia asked Wilbur, annoyed. ('Er... Uh... huhuh.... Sorry, but... M-miss Lana is moving on... I thought m-maybe you didn't notice....? Or...') Wilbur stammered, feeling a bit embarrassed under Cynthia's judgmental glare. Cynthia glanced up at their trainers, their moving on had been noticed by the bunny, but she didn't really care. It wasn't as if they were moving very fast, but she supposed now that her attention had been brought to it, she should follow and take the opportunity to turn and strut away from the disguised zoroark in a flirty fashion. ('Hm I suppose we should get going. You coming handsome?') She asked, glancing back to Daiki as they moved.
Taking a ride upon her shoulder, Nobelium took in the sights from up high. It was certainly a new experience for him, riding someone's shoulder. Previously he'd been in his 5o% form for the longest time. But after he'd woken up on Melemele's shore, he hadn't even thought to call upon his cell brethren. Eline herself, continued onward, their search around Kukui's house not yet complete. That was until she started heading north, being pointed in that direction thanks to her invention, which seemed to be working a bit better since there she already had one core on her person. She however took a moment to turn her gaze towards Nobelium. "Hey, Nobe... About earlier?" She began. " I was kinda shocked when you'd actually spoke to me. You never did back when we first met. What changed?" The core glanced over to Eline, shaking his head lightly. 'I was still rather unsure about humans back then. I wasn't sure if I should of actually revealed I could speak, atleast not in a language you could understand, but... I think I can trust you, now, Eline.' He replied, adding in several nods. "Nice to hear." she replied, giving a thumbs up. "I'm curious though. What was your first impression of me?" Nobelium looked away, seemingly thinking... or was he hesitating? 'Loud.' He finally spoke. 'But nice. I could tell you had a good head on your shoulders, and you proved that, several times in fact.' Eline gave a serious of nods as she chuckled. That sounded about right.

Following along Eline, was of course Lithium, Sulfur and Fluorine. All three of them had decided to have a bit of a conversation while they walked. Fluorine and Lithium seemed to be like two birds of a feather, even if Lithium was a fox. Sulfur merely pipped in every so often, though he wasn't entirely into the conversation himself. He was more interested in the thing on Eline's back. It'd been the thing she was looking for, but besides it's ability to hold a conversation with his trainer, the feline didn't quite get what was so amazing about this thing. He kind of wanted to... pounce on it. See if it'd fight back. Though... maybe attacking it while it was on Eline's shoulder wasn't the best idea.
Titanium, the Alolan Vulpix of Eline's team, walked steadily by herself. She wasn't really interested in having a conversation at the moment, due to her focus on keeping her body cool. Away from Mount Lanakila, it was sometimes unbearable for Ice-types like herself to get comfortable. It wasn't so bad right now though, Though the urge to start a hailstorm was strong.

Making their way past a lone house on Route one, the group steadily made progress up a hill to the right of the house. This eventually lead them up to a patch of grass, where a Wild Alolan Rattata decided to challenge Eline and her Pokemon. Sulfur stepped up to the plate, arching his hind quarters up. The Rattata attacked with a Quick attack, knocking it's body into Sulfur. The feline retaliated with Ember. The fire ball it coughed up slammed into the rat, forcing it to fall back. When it regained it's composer it turned it's tail, tauntingly to get Sulfur to lower his defense, however, the feline wasn't so easily fooled, coughing up another fire ball. This one made the message clear, and sent the Rattata running scared. "Alright, Sulfur!" Eline called out. Kneeling down, Nobelium hopped off her shoulder while she fished out some potions to heal up the feline. He hadn't been hurt that bad, but it was better safe than sorry. "Woah! You really scared away that Rattata!" Announced a voice from a distance. Eline looked up to see a youngster approaching quickly. "Can we have a battle?" He asked, looking down at Eline longingly. "Uhh, Sure." She replied. She could spare some time for a kid, right?

The kid seemed overjoyed that Eline accepted his battle. Eline herself stood up, readying herself for the coming battle, the first trainer battle she'd have with her team. The kid quickly sent out his first Pokemon, a Rattata. maybe this kid idolized the rodent? Well, whatever the case, Eline was ready. Motioning Fluorine forward. She was the best match-up against the normal-type, given it was likely of a lower level, it hopefully wouldn't know any dark-type moves. It wasn't the Rattata she had to worry about, but the kid's Yungoos. It's Pursuit really did a number in on Fluorine, and with the added decrease of her defense due to those Tail Whips, she was a sitting duck. Relying on Titanium then later Neon to end the battle, Eline eventually came up victorious.
The kid seemed rather sad, but excited by the battle. "Thanks lady!" He called, dashing past her off to who knows where. Eline gave a chuckle, as she settled down in the grass to quickly heal everyone back up to be fighting fit. "Well, the experience was well worth it. That was an amazing first battle with another trainer. I hope the rest will be just as fun and rewarding." She added. Yes, and there were many more to come.

Freddy popped the Pokeballs holding Cecil and Owliver into the pockets of his cargo shorts. He thought to himself about where he would go first. Despite living on Melemele Island, due to the Island Challenge barriers, there was still much that he hadn't explored. He wondered how his life might have been if he hadn't left for Blackthorn City in Johto. The idea that an eighteen year old had yet to set food outside of his hometown on his own was a bizarre thought. He had been on holiday to Hau'oli City with his family before, small trips to the beach and asuch but his friends had likely been visiting there on their own for years. Freddy sighed and spun around to run further into Route 1, only to bump into a young man.
He introduced himself as Hayes. Freddy immediately recognised him as the trainer who had come into Professor Kukui's Laboratory after him. "Alola! It's good to meet you. My names Frederick. Frederick Chaucer" Freddy declared, waving his arms in front of his face, a gesture native to all Alolans and something that was considered quite novel to the other students at Blackthorn Preparatory School. "You just start your journey too? On for the Trial Challenge?" Freddy asked.
