[DMRP] - Zac and ???

We will give you a gift, the voices say, but it is a reminder as well. To not follow this path again.

With his hand let go of, a finger brushes against Zac's collarbone. It slowly drags the tip of it's finger across the length of it and pain blossoms.

It isn't unbearable but it does steal breath.

He gasps, the pain of it startling almost dragging against his bone, etching into them like scrimshaw.

But they haven't reclaimed him. He glances at the place where he has been touched. He says thank you without even knowing what they did, because even if its a scar, those too are reminders.

The hand falls away and there is no response. Their message has been given and the faceless goes dormant.

Once more still, playing a part of mannequin once more.

Zac's collar bone would hurt for a few days but he'd figure out what they gifted him soon enough.
