Lunch and the last class seemed to go by super fast. Todd stood at his locker, putting things away as he waited to meet up with Verity. As he got his things together, he heard his phone tweet and looked to see that Charl had texted him.

The sucker that Todd had been eating almost fell out of his mouth at Verity's unexpected arrival. He shut his mouth around his candy and turned to Verity, eyes wide with curiosity. The corners of his mouth curled into a happy smile and he finished pulling on his backpack and shut his locker door before taking the sucker out of his mouth so he could talk. "Hey! You surprised me!" He greeted cheerfully. "How did you like your first day of school?" Todd asked as he started down the hall with her toward the front door.

Charl left the classroom and called out to Tink Tink? Where are you? Charl then thought for a second. Maybe she's in Class 1A where my brother is. I'll check that one. Charl proceeded to Room 1A to see if Tink went in there.
