It was a drag ever since he first arrived. Normally he would not be the kind of person to make it such an obvious appearance in terms of demeanor and expressions, but to say he was underwhelmed was well...and understatement. He liked to have a good time as much as the next person, but two weeks was hardly enough time for him to adjust. He had yet to make proper acquaintances -that came before friends in his honest opinion- and now here he was on a mandatory field trip for a tournament of sorts to take place. Because he hardly knew anyone, what was he to base his opinion on in the matter of who he think should win or who to cheer on for that matter? Still, stadiums were one of the places he liked being at, more so for the fact of being cheered than the idea of sitting in the stands. That, he hated most of all.
While everything was on break, he took it upon himself to head to the concession stand for a drink. While doing that, one thing led to another and he was at the Lottery booth after hearing the sounds of others talking about the place. Word by mouth was always the best place to hear about a matter and so he was drinking on a fruit juice while collecting his tickets. It was commemorative in a way. Maybe he could win something for his room or more.

ffffff↬Reaching the lotto station, there was a person handing out tickets and talking to people. Phoebe recalled her pokemon and went up to the attendant. From what she understood, everyone was being given ten tickets to use the ball machines. A colored pokeball would come out and that'd be their prize. Though, there was a dud ball in there to watch out for. Getting her and Ichiro ten tickets each, Phoebe handed his ten to him and went over to one of the machines, ready to give it a try. "Good luck," she said to her friend.
The machine didn't look too complex. It actually looked like one of the ones they'd use at the fairs back home. Taking the lever in hand, Phoebe gave it a hard spin and waited for a ball to pop out.
