He was getting a weird feeling from the rose ghoul, as if she's trying to bottle something inside of her. But he ignores that and smiles a little more at her as she introduces herself with such enthusiasm. Now it made sense . . . she's trying to keep her petals together from her happy enthusiasm, but that made him smile and happy.

"Hi Amy, I'm good. Andmy name is Sorrel . . . like the herb sorrel." Thinking that maybe she might find that funny a bit seeing that she is a pretty rose. He thought it was funny as he chuckles a bit. "Do you know anything about this class?" Sorrel ask in curiosity if she or the boil heard anything new about the class, like when does it actually start as he glance over to the professor.

Dirge, a master of technology (read: Teenage Boil from the City), had looped through the trailer a few times already, and was quite glad their professor didn't sound like a couple of overlayed PreCee generated voices.

The flaming haired boil sat in a chair at random, also deeply engrossed in his phone. Sqealenix had just put out a new mobile game, and Dirge was totally already on the last level, about to finish the final boss. Any interruption would probably end up with a lot of blood and tears.

It didn't take much to convince Gabby to attend this particular class, because it sounded a lot more modern than others in the past. Besides, it also meant he was probably going to be able to get away with being on his skelephone all day long.

He strode in dramatically, flopped in a chair, and lounged until he was comfortable (and yet still somehow so sharp and put together). Then he flipped out the phone, and immediately began texting. Sure, this wasn't a very scary activity, unless one counted sending Sibyl a text that said the oceans were drying up and did she notice how there would be no more fish left in the world?

Yeah. Gabby had this whole scaring in the digital age thing down pat. Easy A. He was set.

I just heard all the oceans are drying up. Did you know there will be no more fish left in the world? Such a pity.

Hayden loved classes, and here was an opportunity to have classes with other people. She was also very curious about the class. Modern scaring? She wasn't aware that things had really changed that much. She also wondered who would be there. She had met a few boils and ghouls already in school and she wanted to meet some more. Well that and get to know those she had met better. It wasn't like they were her real friends yet, just people she knew. She wanted a real friend, someone that would stay with her even when she was done with school.

Steve had no idea what modern scaring would entail, but it had a cool-looking trailer set up in the creepeteria the day before. That was enough to catch the wyvern's interest. Throwing open the door, he yelled out, "IS THIS THE SCARING IN THE DIGITAL AGE CLASS?"

His orange eyes peered around expectantly for a response. He blinked when the teacher's desk held a woman and a vulture playing with their skelephones. Taking their silence and the small group of creeple present as confirmation that he was indeed in the right place, he found the closest seat and plopped down into it, his tail twitching in excitement.

"How long until we start?," he asked to no one in particular.

Anyone
Feel free to chat Steve up

Sidron physically cringed in his seat at the loud shout from the door. Orange eyes cracked open to peer at the assaulter of his ears drums. And just wouldn't you know it, it was Steve. He didn't know the boil all too well but they had traipsed around the school together on some scavenger hunt.

He was super excitable. This would prove to be interesting.

Sinking lower into his seat, if he could without sliding right out the black dragon gave a mild sigh. "No one knows."

Indu's nostrils had flared out, and her mouth had set into a thin line of disapproval at the description of the new class. Modern scaring? Modern?? What was wrong with good, old fashioned, tried and true techniques? This sounded like a lot of bull-hokey. Wasn't this an ancient and respected institution? Staring at the advertisement in the cafateria, the young ghoul had almost choked in outrage. Teaching fad techniques and untested methods to naive young students was a flagrant abuse of a teacher's position and privilege. But she wasn't going to stand for that - oh no - Indu was going to be the final line of defence against whatever untested, wild ideas were going to be thrown about.

On the day of the class, she marched in, bristling with barely repressed outrage, and slid into a seat in the front row, shoes meeting together with a sharp tap under the table, back straight, eyes drilling a critical hole in the teacher's turned down face. The class's biggest critic, and potentially biggest troublemaker, had arrived to cast her judgement.

Ebele probably definitely watched the introduction video a good fifty times, engrossed in the strange voices and the peaceful background of the video.

Honestly, she was not very good at the digital thing, mostly because in Miasma Village, they were not exactly well-connected. Therefore, it was most definitely a new thing for her to try, and that instantly made her all over the idea. She would go to this class!

That was how she ended up in the classroom the next day, sitting down at a desk in the second row and bouncing excitedly. She couldn't wait for this! She could learn how to be scary in the digital age! Ebele was here to learn how to be scary after all, right? That was what schooling was for! That and doing new things. Ooh, she couldn't wait to see the professor start teaching why was she just sitting at her desk there were things to learn--

======================

As much as Cearney was loathe to admit it, modern scaring methods would probably be quite useful to the leprechaun. If anything else, perhaps there would be some way to combat against the popular vision of them so many humans seemed to carry now.

It was with great displeasure that Cearney decided that he actually probably needed this class, and so he dragged himself out of bed on the day of, bag slung over his shoulder full of the proper learning gear and not just spare belongings of other creeple for once, and made his way over to the classroom. When he arrived, he dramatically lifted himself into a chair and plopped himself down, opening a notebook on his desk.

And the teacher was texting.

And her familiar.

... Familiars could text?

======================

Ignatius had gotten the invitation for the class via his email, and while he was fairly certain he knew how these digital things worked, all things considered, it wouldn't hurt to go and get an easy grade from a class.

He wasn't exactly fond of the earlier time of the class, considering he preferred to laze around a bit in the morning (for a given value of laze) but nevertheless, Ignatius showed up near the expected time, sitting himself down in a desk in the middle of the room. It seemed a few creeple were there already, including some that seemed to already know each other. That plant ghoul seemed to be rather familiar with the mouse boil, at least.

Since this was a class about modern technology, he figured that the professor wouldn't mind him taking out his own phone and texting a bit while he waited for her to stop texting.

"Sorrel! Ah I know of that herb, how cute~" She giggled a bit completely getting the slight funniness that came with the name. As for his previous question, she nodded. "Its about using modern technology in conjunction with scaring and gathering fear! Interesting and pretty cool if you ask me~" She was about to say something else when she noticed other students arriving. Her seat was safe but she wanted to keep talking to Sorrel so she came up with a nice solution. "Would you like to come sit back there with us? I assume class is going to start soon and I would like to continue our conversation"

She winced with a loud boil came in, sighing with annoyance. Ugh,

"Ill save a set back there for you just in case~ I'm going to go back to my seat now, it was nice meeting you Sorrel!~" Amy got up, walking to her seat and avoiding all the students that were coming in. She spotted a purple reaper and tilted her head. How cute~ She took her seat and leaned forward, resting her head on her hands, side glancing at Sid. "Are you planning on sleeping through the entire class?" She laughed a little bit.

Kamakura hadn't been sure what to make of the new class in room 140. The number series encouraged one to put your efforts and focus towards your long-term goals and aspirations the number its self-had set off alarm bells, as did the title of the given class. As was his usual habit he obsessed over the meaning of the numbers, before he’d actually gotten around to convincing himself to actually attend class. The dual nature of the audio clip that had been sent to them had made the fur on his tail raise.

Scowling the demon decided it was in his best interest to attend, and made a point of getting up early for the class that morning at 10am sharp. Kama made sure to be there on time, as being punctual was vital for getting a seat further back.

He slipped into the room, taking his seat. Once settled in his seat, he placed his hand in his palm and stared blankly ahead for a moment, idly tapping his pen on the piece of paper. After a moment he grabbed for his bag, rifled around before placing down his notepad and grabbed for an inkpen. Kama immediately began doodling on the corner of his paper as he waited for what he assumed might be some kind of lecture. The catboil hadn’t sat in an actual classroom since his brief interaction awhile back with Adelaide. He’d all but literally nodded off, this time however he intended to actually try and take something away from the class. Sitting up some, his feral eyes narrowed ahead on the front of the class room.

Kamakura's eyes locked on his pad of paper, as he began to scribble furiously. The comic-like drawing however was not bound to last long, he soon moved onto the next thing and began to draw one of his random assorted mini pets to pass the time. After he’d finished several sketches, he finally placed his drawing utisil down frowning. The ticking clock and sound of voices in a low rumble filled the classroom they had assembled in. Shifting in his seat the nekomata yawned as he stretched, rubbing at one of his eyes. This early in the morning was usually prime time for him to be catching a catnap.. not potentially interacting with a bunch of strange ghouls and boils.

Glancing around him, he wondered if he’d spy anyone he knew. The likely hood of course wasn’t a high chance. That didn’t mean he wouldn’t end up speaking to someone.. he’d just give it a moment, and instead see what the pace of the class would be like. Glancing down at his scarephone, He began to browse on it for the now, more to keep himself from drawing on more notepaper. Kama pursed his lips and after a bit of browsing he eyed the time before locking the screen and slipping it back into his jacket pocket.

Although he was no scareling he’d handle whatever was asked of him. Looking for what would be their instructor, he spotted what appeared to be an authoritative figure. As he looked in that direction the demon noted the druid’s vulture. Kamakura didn't really have much to say to those around him. Well, at least for the moment. He thought.

Anyone feel free to talk to mr. |: face lol!

Sidron was kind of glad that more students were starting to filter in. Although half of them he probably wouldn't converse with. For the most part he ignored those being rather loud. Feigning sleep until Amy popped back over into her seat next to him.

"Maybe." He gave a loud yawn. Sharp, pearly white teeth flashing. A stark contrast to his dark skin. "I hope you don't have plans to try and eat that poor mousey boy by luring him into a false sense of security of pleasant socialization. I'd hate have to tell his parents that their kid got eaten."

It made him happy to hear her giggling about his name. He knew she'll get it and think it was funny, or else it'll be too awkward and sad. Hearing about the details of the class really made him interested even more to the point his tail was wagging slightly and smiles. "It is interesting, and handy too." He wanted the class to start immediately to learn since it's something he most likely will use in the future.

She was inviting him over to sit in the back, and before he could even respond a loud boil made his grand entrance in the classroom. Sorrel had to grab his ears and push them down against his head to silence the loud voice. "Oww . . ." That was way too loud.

"Nice to meet you too . . ." Seeing her going back to join her friend, he thought for a moment if he wants to follow her. There were more students in the classroom, and class was about to start. The anxiety of his decision making was getting the best of him now that he was staring at the clock ticking away. Then in the last minute, he pack all his stuff up and walks over to the saved seat in the back of the classroom. "Hi again~" He was happy to the point he made some soft squeaks in his voice as he takes his seat near her. "Um . . . hi, I'm Sorrel." He introduce himself to the massive black dragon boil with a smile, and he quiets down.

She stiffened in her seat, glaring at him and thumping his arm. "N-No! Of course not, why would I do that? He's too delicious, I mean....Cute! ugh! I hate you..." She started grumbling about stupid big barbaric boils and their being right. She didn't mean anything by it but she sighed and gave him one more side glance. "Just lost some more points....And you were doing so good too~" Her vine moved up to grab onto his long hair, tugging it lightly before curling around his tail once more while she smiled, staring ahead. That one she did on her own. Take that barbaric dragon.

Amy beamed when she saw Sorrel coming towards them, moving her stuff so he could sit down. She covered her mouth to hold back the squeal at how cute his squeaks were, grabbing her vine before it could wrap around him while she let out a squeaky hello through her hand. Jack he was just too much! She could really use a snack right about now...

"No you don't. Also, we need to have a talk about this whole points thing later because apparently I had no clue I was racking up points for something I have no clue what the points are for." His head jerked when she tugged at his hair. "That can get you in trouble." Sidron rolled his head side to side, the vertebrae in his neck popping. His tail curled around her vine tightly, giving it a sharp tug.

Now the mouse boy had joined them. It didn't surprise him. Amy would talk to just about anything that was cute and edible. Leaning forward in his seat so that he could see around the ghoul to address the boil, both his eyebrows raised as orange eyes lidded. "Don't get too close, mousey. She might eat you for a cute little snack."

Sorrel took his seat once Amy clear up some space him and gets himself situated for when class begins. While he was feeling so happy, it had all gone away once the boil spoke up in giving his warning.

". . ." He blinks, staring at Amy in silence for he was really caught off guard by seeing how wide his golden eyes were. He would never knew about that from Amy, but he smiles softly. "Oh . . . I'm use to that actually for almost all of my life." He chuckles softly, much due to his nerves really, and place his bag on the floor. "There's a boil here who tries to eat me up too, snapping his jaws at me. Even when I nap too . . . he will bite me, but stops in exchange for stuff." It absolutely made him shudder in thinking about him, but deep down though, he does feel a bit sad that Amy might be nice to him only for that reason.
