"Hrm. Come on," he whispered to himself. He could totally do this. It was easy in the movies. Maybe if he just twisted it like this...
No, that wasn't it.
With a huff Draven pulled the pin out, looked at it, then shoved it back in the lock. Hrm. Maybe he needed another to help this one out? He picked up a second bobby-pin and shoved it in the lock, too.
He closed one eye in concentration, and jiggled the pins in the lock. He really had no idea what he was doing, but he wasn't about to give up. If he could just get it to click right... Maybe if he-
There was a loud click and Draven felt something give-way. A little hesitantly he tested the doorknob. Open. It opened!
With a huge, satisfied grin on his face Draven opened the door and stepped through, eager to see what he would find.

What he found was himself outside. "Oh." Did that mean he was finished? Was that it? Sure the first room had been pretty rough...but the last two hadn't been too bad. But he wouldn't be surprised to find something out here waiting to test him, too.
All he found, however, was the lone figure in the tree. All he had for Draven was a rolled up certificate. It basically said he was finished. And he'd passed.
"Um. Thanks." Draven didn't really know what else to say. He gave a small smile, a wave, and then turned to walk back to his room.
It would take a little while for it all to sink in. His first year worth of study was officially done.
