Hook's uneven run was helped with leaps in the air, and with a combination of opening his wings to catch a second or two glide. Landing on the ground after a leap, cause Hook to flinch a little in pain. He was still vary much getting use to the weight and the tenderness of the nub that remained after the 'operation'.
Teeth clinched as his wind eyes, did their best to see in the night. Despertly trying to grasp the full picture. Jolly could sense three souls ahead. One was Chronos, and the other two unknown. Ears perked at the sound of Chonos' snarl.
A cub, wait-
Eyes widened and paws dug painfully in the ground as suddenly as the figures infront of him. Right infront of him and in colision path. Alarmed, Tail flicked up and polled out as he gained his balance.
Jolly really hated being in the dark, without a light. It made seeing eater difficult...
A sigh of relief, left Hook as he manged to break in time and not 'crash' the party. Slowly, the Tahtil pawed his way forward, hoping his gaze would focus more in the dark...
The little shadow, caught the corner of his gaze as he backed up his friend, in slow steps comming up along side him. Head lowered, as attention remained on the cub, and parted attention with the dark skull and bone Tahtil.
It looked as if they needed to get the other from the cub, but first they needed to clear a path for the lad...
Trying to make eye contact with the Cub, Hook tried to judge if the lad had noticed them...
Jolly could leave the grown one to Chronos, they seemed to know each other.....
To put it simply and without slander.

(Over 10 - success, Under Chronos looses it)
Cain had learned from his previous encounter with a rash cub that they can be wild at the drop of a hair. The small scars on his nose were proof of this lesson.
He watched the cub's movements carefully. Than an even more unwanted shadow passed overhead. Morning Star was not going to be pleased...
His lips curled as he reared up with a flap of his wings. Paws both lifted from the ground to avoid the lashing of the little ankle bitter.
"You should have come with me, cub. Perhaps these two will give you a deserved end."
As for a response to Chronos, Cain had none. Chronos could writhe in his own anger in the silence.
Chronos grit his teeth to the obvious insult he was given by his advisory. Bright eyes narrowed on his enemy as various threatening ideas swirled about his mind. Cain would make a great study for a puppet... he was going to end up one either way. Chronos had long planned to, or there was the current scum pulling his strings now. Unfortunately the sight of Cain still put Chronos on the edge of rage, even if it was a puppet. So the project he had been carving back at his workshop was never finished. In fact, a few of the puppets had been ragefully burned. The wood made for a good kindling fire and it was some sick satisfaction to see the contorted face becoming ash within the flames. If only that would happen to the real one..
Once again the sight had proven to be too much and all reason begun to flood out the back of his mind. All he could think of was attaching strings to every limb of this b'alam and casting him over the side of the theater's balcony.
As soon as the black b'alam reared Chronos sprung toward the other dark B'alam in an attempt to pin him to the ground and tear at his throat. His long fangs barred while his nostrils flared.
However, Cain swiveled around just in time to collide with Chronos. The two clashed and tumbled back into the river in a flurry of claws, wings and teeth. Even after the two plunged with a large splash the continued to struggle against one another. Chronos worked to hold his head above water and hold Cain's under. His wings fanned out while his claws struggled to make deep contact with the b*****d's flesh. Whatever Cain was doing was unnoticed. The world was in a flurry of red. All Chronos could think about was removing this stressor from existence. The world around would be at peace if only this beast were dead. Gabriel had taught him about the value of life, but that surely did not count in this case. This one was not worth the dirt he tread on. The fact they had woken side by side, as if brothers, had long been forgotten by Chronos. He was sure Cain had forgotten about it as well. What brotherly bond they had upon awakening was long gone.
Gabriel 's wings slanted as he begun to turn back toward the small gathering of B'alam. Three he recognized, one, the cub, he had never seen before. Whatever was going on down there if Cain was involved it was not a pleasant experience. There was no doubt in Gabriel's mind that Chronos would not bode very well with such an agitator present. It was a good thing he had decided to follow them from the dark tribe's territory.
Once he had turned his wings angled downward and tucked slightly to his frame.
*SPLASH**
And there went Chronos and Cain into the fast current of the river.
Gabriel's eyes turned back to where he had last seen the cub before looking to the disturbance drifting down the river again.

Thalion Let me know if it's too much as well....
Blue eyes slipped from Chronos to fully rest on the cub past Cain's paws. The little puff ball was back to an edge, and only had a few options, one of which was known to be made. And Attack, the cub didn't seem like one to mew over his misfortune, or even trust easily...
Good form, that one...
Hunching closer to the ground, white feathers shifted in antipation. Hook knew Chronos wasn't going to let anything happen to that cub. Tick-tock seemed to have a soft spot for the little buggers. But also at the moment was vary distracted with the dark in color one.
Which ment, he had cub duty...
Killian just had to wait for it, so the cub wasn't snatch when he reacted.
A familure scent tugged and to his eternal reminder of the smell of blood, caused his own ridge to raise and tail to puff. Feather flared.
Just as quick as flash of light in a storm, thundard stuck the ground in a rumble a form of a splash.
When th cub launched so did Hook, in aims to pounce over the sharp fluff. Maw kindly bared to with paw to keep the Cubbin from failing too much. Body, made for a makeshift fleshy fur 'cage', Killian knew he was still a threat to the small cub. Hook pinned and angled away from the fluff to not harm him with it.
That is if the pouce was successful.

The surge of activity around him became a whirlwind of massive figures, flapping wings, flashing claws, and loud, angry voices. It was too much for one so new to the world to take in at once. He hadn't even landed his paws on the ground before the thunderstorm of excitement broke out around him. He barely registered the tension along the nape of his neck and the jolt his body fell into when he was simply caught up in the maw of another B'alam.
Shock soon crumbled away to awareness, a keen, unworldly awareness induced by a spike of adrenaline. His paws dangled helplessly below him as the ground seemed just feet away. Something had him. Someone had him. He couldn't roll his head back to see who but he could make out a paw, a nubby...stump where another paw should be, and a pair of white wings. Wings. Wings like -his- no less! Maybe this b*****d was part of the ugly-winged guy's little collective.
Jim howled his outrage and began twisting and flailing his paws through the air. He had been tense when scooped up so the hold would be a short one. His body hadn't fallen into the gentle relaxing slump of a feline safely held by their scruff by a trusted parent. He had been seeing red, ready to fight for his life, and now he was soaring helplessly.
"YOU WANT SOME TOO, UGLY!? I'LL RIP YOUR WINGS OFF!"

Within the blink of an eye the scene had changed once again. The cub was in Hook's maw and Chronos and Cain were still battling down the river. Their splashing and roaring raged over the crashing of the fast current.
Gabriel's paws stretched while his wings flared out to catch all the wind possible. Within seconds he made his near silent landing. His eyes immediately fell to the hooked b'alam and the cub in his mouth. Chronos was settling his grudge, it would be farm more wise to be sure the cub was alright. From what he had learned since awakening, cubs were far more fragile than a hardened stage mechanic.
"Is that cub injured?" Gabriel asked in his bold voice.
He didn't believe that Hook would injure a cub on purpose, nor did he believe that Hook would be the cause of the distress. Cain, however, he believed would injure a cub severely. He had done it before, he had kidnapped one before.
Thankfully this one managed to escape.
Chronos struggled to keep his head above water while attempting to claw out Cain's eyes. Each alternated in pulling the other under water as the fought both the opponent and the current. His wings seemed useless in the endeavor. Each time they tried to fold out and flap the water shoved them forward or backward depending who was facing which direction.
Chronos unleashed a roar as Cain managed to claw his shoulder and he managed to claw at Cain's forehead.
Where they were was lost to him. They were rapidly moving away from Hook and the cub and unwillingly being carried to wherever this river may lead.
Cain too was at the mercy of the river's current Both him and Chronos seemed evenly matched as the struggled to gain the upper hand on one another. He seemed to be able to get more strikes when he was faced along the current, against seemed less helpful.
So, with that knowledge, he begun to try and turn Chronos against the currents. HIs wings folded when they could and moved to help him against his opponent.. However, it wasn't long before Cain begun to catch onto the rouse. He too begun to try and turn Cain to be at a disadvantage with the water.

As Killian caught up the cub, he was vary quick in releasing him as the fury of claws and teeth became more rabid. The Lad's body was ridged and rough, nothing that was easy for him to hold on to. Dropping the cub from his maw, Hook's fleshy paw raised as he sat on his hunches, tan body straightened to brace for retaliation. Eyes flinched and Killian's body slowly started to back from the flurry of claws
"Easy! Easy, lad!" Left Jolly in a raised and rushed tone answering harshly to the the cub's howl. His hooked paw pinned it's self in the earth to control himself from raising against the spikey fluff. Ears docked at a certain 'word', a dirty one...
...
"Ugly?!" Hook spouted as if he couldn't believe the cub would accuse such a thing. "Now that is just uncalled for! " The Tahtil, huffed. Talk about insulting!
"-And I am here to help! You little scrap! I mean you no harm!" Killian backed up a step to show that he meant no harm to the cub. Eyes quickly made a glance over to the leader of the dark tribe. Eyes then quickly snapped to the alarmed fluff, his paw raised from the cub as if to show him he meant no harm. Eyes kept a keen on the look for that dark b'alam.
"Can't tell, He is a fiasty little bugger, though." Jolly spoke with a quick glance to the Dark King.
"I think o'l Tick-tock, needs ya though." Killian boldly stated to the vary one that had taken his paw. Hook cared for his friend. His words where rushed, as an eye returned back on to the little scamp before him.

Gabriel held his eyes on the cub even as "Hook" pointed out that Chronos needed help. He was by now aware of the nicknames the two had for each other. Chronos was proud of that name, "Tick-tock".
"It is his battle to fight." He responded with an unwavering voice. "Chronos would be insulted if I intervened."
Gabriel knew of the rivalry between Cain and Chronos, perhaps Chronos had not yet relayed such information to his "friend". That was likely the only part of their "circle of trust" that Hook was not apart of. It was not Gabriel's place to intervene.
"That black beast is collecting cubs and bringing them to his "master"." He spoke with some disgust to the young cub. The more he learned of this "master" the more he felt a deep disgust for his former subject. "They are nothing more than a disgraceful group of vermin... "
Gabriel explained before re-directing his inquiry to the cub directly.
"Are you hurt, boy?"
Cain to be at a disadvantage with the water. Cain and Chronos continued their struggle down the raging river, neither gaining the upperhand for too long. Pain was lost to the surge of adrenaline, both were determined to be the only one to emerge from the river. By now the ones they had left on the bank were mere dots and forgotten to the fray. Cain refuse to give up this fight, he had too much to fight for at this point. Too much to loose. He had made his decision to follow his current path long ago and was not going to give up the ideals he had taken on. Morning Star was his Lord now, not Gabriel. Where was Gabriel when he had fallen in the light? Where was Chronos for taht matter No, no matter what Cain was in too deep and it was too late. Now all he could do was win this fight. Perhaps Morning Star would value the pelt of Chronos, as proof of his undying loyalty. Perhaps this symbol of loyalty would be able to rewrite his past mistakes and bring back his honor.

Jolly's quick eyes moved from the Dark tribe leader to the cub, as he made his lunges. The flick of a blaze in the little Scrap's gaze. It was admirable...
With a hop of his upper half he paw rose to avoid the fierce little lunges, it was like a quick little trot of his hook and paw. Eyes returned on the little beastie, as annoyed breath passed though his nostrils, his ears angled at Gabe's words...
What a fancy paroo egg sucker...
He reiterated the leatherwing's words in his mind with a poshy tone: 'It's his battle to fight...'
He could only roll his eyes mentally, as he didn't dare to find out what would happen, if the leader saw him outright do it.
Still the comment struck a nerve, regardless if his 'brother' would get be insulted, better that then he be seriously injured or maimed. There was already too much of that going around...
Eyes slipped once more to the Crocodile that took his paw.
"Perhaps you should try your paws at cub sitting then..." Left Hook as he returned to all three paws. He started to turn...
"Careful, he is woven fighter. Don't take it easy on him, Lad." Killian added with a wink to the cub, be it seen in the dark by him or not.
With a gimped hop, Hook's left paw curled at his chest as he bounded not-so-gracefully along the river side. Tail angled like a ridgepole, arrowing out where needed to help keep his balance. White wings flapped to bound him in the air, in a oversize leap. He needed to catchy up to the trashing b'alam in the river.
Killian had no plans on taking the fight from his friend, but he would be there for clean up and if (hopefully not), he needed to lend a paw. Killian didn't want his brother mad at him, but it would be worth the cost if it meant that they could laugh about it at another time.

Jim froze in his tracks and pulled his wings in closer to his body. His feathers flattened, making him look somewhat smaller. It was an instinct, nothing more, but he noticed that it was a knee jerk reaction to uncertainty, unhappiness, or fear. What if there were more of them?
He turned back to the Magus then glanced beyond him at the fight taking place nearby. Chaos. Ugly-wings, gimpy-legs, and another ugly-wings. It was a tangle of angry roars, flying limbs, claws, and wings. His stomach turned.
"I think I'll take my chances, pops. I don't know I can trust any of you either." Could be that they were fighting over who got to gobble him up- or worse. If there was a worse.
