I would if it would stop him but he knows my accounts password he could easily turn them back on or just trade them when I am not in the room. I don't know if its to spite me or what. But its really pissing me off. He has spent over $100 in the past week.. -_- And he really thinks its ok. I am like no you are making stuff worse. I have showed him graphs and everything of why its bad. But nope he thinks it is the only way to get stuff -_- Gaia's greedy ways have gotten to my husband. Evil I say evil. And I think I will do that. Though I don't mind catching all the bugs because I make them into inks and sell them for gold xD Thank you though I shall use those codes for the paper smile
Just like Princess Voltari said, you should probably change your password if he knows it. No one else is supposed to know your password anyway, especially if you know they'll use it to get in and mess with stuff. If he gets in a bad mood with you, he could do much worse to your account than just change the settings to forcibly give you gifts (such as come in and mess with stuff in this guild while having a Crew member status). Anyway, if you disable gifts and change your password (to something he wouldn't be able to guess), he shouldn't be able to give you anything. Even if you stay logged in, trades and gifts don't work without the password. If he also knows how to get into the email address you used for your Gaia account, you might want to change the password for that too, since he could do the whole "forgot my password" thing.
Plus, even if it didn't reward Gaia's bad behavior, $100 in a week for virtual stuff is just excessive.
Back on the Towns 1 / Adblock topic, I mainly started blocking the not-so-expensive bugs because even if converted to ink and sold (though I've recently decided to sell them in their original bug form), the time and effort it takes to catch them is usually not worth it, especially as they move around a lot. House Flies (too small to catch easily), Crickets (can hide behind stuff), and Dragonflies (though worth more money, are way too fast) were the main ones I was having problems with. But you can catch them all if you want. cat_razz It still lowers inflation on them anyway.
I will probably changing my password just not to get the gifts. But I have known almost 9 years and he really isn't an aggressive person. xD And would never mess with anything on my account. If anything in the past he has gotten mad at me for messing with others accounts. He is really against things like that. He see the giving me gifts as innocent and spoiling me. He does it on every site we go on together.

1. Go to Japan with him 2. Kill him and make it look like suicide 3. Go home 4. They won't be able to solve it and will declare it to be suicide, which is [apparently] the reason their crime rate is so low 5. You win
Edit: bonus points if you kidnap T.M.Revolution and bring him to me so I can glomp him heart
xD Sounds good. And I am so proud he actually went out and got the mower. And he did the yard ^_^
While he is right about it being his money and being allowed to do whatever he wants with it, there seems to be a deeper underlying problem here based on what you've said in other posts. It seems that marriage counseling may be needed.
Yea we talked about it about it a week ago and have an appointment for the one on our base. Next week. smile So that is being sorted.

ugh.. and men wonder why they are nagged by women gonk
I'm merely observing here. Whatever his game addictions and laziness are, being your husband, he should have enough respect for you to understand your feelings about this particular subject and go with the flow. sheesh. At the very least he could have blown the money on some other game and the idea of it all wouldn't have been as bad I'm sure. It seems like he was either doing it on purpose or just wasn't paying enough attention to care stare
I've been married for 12 years and known him for 15, so I can put myself in your shoes and really feel your frustration emotion_hug
It is evident that Gaia's current tactics have been successful if it is oppositely affecting two people in the same home. Some don't get it or can't seem to see through the BS and remain ignorant. mad
If he's allergic to anything you can always cook that up in his next dinner. Might not kill him but payback is priceless wink
For the past week or so, I've been running around in Towns 1, collecting rare and expensive items that have gone up in price from the inflation. Originally, I started going in there to try and catch those rare bugs that I once saw there (don't know yet if they're in Towns 2), because some of them, namely the Great Monarch, are worth insane amounts of money now (over a billion). So far, out of all the rare bugs, I've only found a Purple Fly (at least, since I've started this "project").
While hunting for the rare bugs, I thought I would collect trash, flowers, and bugs along the way, but most of them weren't worth the time to pick up or catch, so I did a little research to figure out which ones I should look for so I don't waste time picking up every little thing I see. Out of all of the available items, I've found that Old Crumpled Newspapers (about 50,000g each), Blue Carnations (about 15,000g each), and Sunflowers (about 10-15,000g each) are the best things to pick up, while pretty much any bug other than Brown Beetles, Crickets, Yellow Butterflies, House Flies, and Fireflies would be worth it to catch.
The problem with some of these rare items is that they can look a lot like one of the cheaper ones, namely how Old Crumpled Newspapers (50,000g) look like Crumpled Newspapers (100g), and Red Flies (13,000g) look like House Flies (1,000g). I've found that by using the right Adblock codes, you can choose to see nothing but the items and bugs that you want, and I've also found one that, for some reason, lets you walk through houses.

I am going to go with the not paying enough attention. So you were right on. I accidentally left this vent up and he saw it. xD He said sorry he didn't know it bothered me that much. ^_^ And won't be doing it any more.

How did this ever play out, hun?
Because I can't help but notice that each and every one of your fabulous avis usually has the latest cash shop item included. I'm not poor by any stretch of the imagination here on Gaia, yet I couldn't afford what you are sporting on each and every avi. More often than not, you put together an avi that totals billions or more (often 10 billion or more). You either have some very generous friends or your husband's spending has made you incredibly wealthy along the way, or perhaps both. Or is he still in your account leaving you with these incredibly expensive items bought with cash? eek

He still sending me stuff but with gold.Funny he saw this thread when I left and realized how much it bothered me. And he himself has stopped buying cash. ^_^ Though now he is spoiling me with the gold he has like I said. Though I know where this gold came from I am sorta ok with it? I mean I am a bit pissed at him for getting that viel earned gold in the first place. But I would rather him buy the items with gold than with cash. And he promised me once his gold runs out he is done. xD and most of my items he got from his rigs. Or I got from selling my items. I don't have many friends on gaia any more outside this guild they all quite :/ Btw still trying to figure out how sponsoring you works do I send you the gold? or send it to the mule there or hold it to the end of the event? I do know that It has to be posted in the thread xD

LOL! I wondered about that, and I only caught part of it with reading your posts here. You already know that I'm like yourself with very few friends now on Gaia, and it can be a lonely place since most all of my friends have quit like yours have as well. emotion_hug
With sponsoring, you can post in the thread and/or just send the gold over to me since it will end up here eventually for me to distribute to the charities. I'm doing the same, hun...most all of my gold is now going to charities save for the gold I have stored away with the intent to sink and never release into the economy again, but if I'm going to be honest, I will probably end up giving that gold to charity as well.
Thanks for replying back, my love. I've been wondering how all of this played out along the way. heart
