ANOTHER'S EYES

The vision of sweetness faded away when Kettil continued through the motions of the vision and eventually through a door where it all abruptly stopped and suddenly he was a small cat-like version of himself. Kettil stared down at himself and let out a soft squeak of dismay.

Was this permanent? No. No of course not. Freya changed back.

Wait.. FREYA.

He turned to look for her letting out small questioning mewls.

When the vision, and the little body in her arms, faded away, Freya slumped with sudden loss. She wasn't ready to lose those faces, those lives, even if she knew they were her future. Her empty arms lifted up to hold the last face she saw, that of Peder's. He stared at her silently, until he too faded away.

All she had left in the room was Kettil, and he'd turned into a minipet just as she'd done earlier. She bent down and scooped him up, cuddling him close in order to glean as much comfort from his presence as she could.

"Soon." She whispered, promising it more to herself than to him. "Ja. Soon."

She left the room, carrying Kettil in her arms, and they entered a circular room together.

You enter a circular room. A fine, clean mist covers the ground. The clatter of steel and iron can be heard as a large figure emerges from the mist. Some may be jolted with recognition. Others may marvel at how large and foreboding the figure is.

The large, Green Knight plants itself in your way. Beyond it you can see something glimmering, something you want really badly: your diploma.

A large, shadowy javelin suddenly appears between your feet as you try to step forward.

"HALT. YOU SHALL NOT PASS."

Of course it was going to end with a fight. You ready yourself and prepare for combat!

THE GUARDIAN HP ???/???
gaia_crown For every hit: take -5 HP auto damage.

gaia_crown To defeat: successfully hit the boss three times and roll 1d10 for a finisher. You don't need to hit it three times in a row; just three times total!

- 1-3: You miss entirely. Hit the boss three times again, then reroll.
- 4-7: You are reasonably successful. It's nothing impressive, but it gets the job done.
- 8-10: You do something really cool and impressive, like hit the Guardian so hard that its armor flies off and it dissipates like the badass you are.
gaia_crown Rolled 1-3 three times? Go ahead and take the reasonably successful finisher to get the job done. In addition, your diploma also has a misshapen gold star that reads: "u treid."

AMITYVILLE ACADEMY DIPLOMA GET! The diploma itself is made out of heat/ice/water/electric/acid/rip resistant parchment, rolled and bound with a ribbon in your dorm's colors. You unravel it.

gaia_crown Determine Your Title:
Count the number of rolls you made during the Graduation Dungeon, including double prompts. ie, if I rolled 3, 5, 3, 4, 6, 7 for prompts then I rolled six for prompts. Also include each roll you made against the boss.

If you are doing the dungeon in a group, the group will SHARE the same number of prompt rolls. When a group makes it to the boss room, then the players will count their individual rolls made against the boss.

Match the total number of rolls you made in the Graduation Dungeon to find your title:

Kettil let out a startled squeak as the monster appeared and then a few seconds later he was his normal self again which left him pretty disoriented (but still desiring the diploma). He lunged forward with his best attack but ... Fell short.

Literally falling to his knees. He needed a moment to regather himself, "..Not so impressive."

Freya whined when Kettil disappeared from her arms, but it was nice to see him fully formed again. And what a nice form it was~

He ran to hit something, and it was only then that she realized it was a creature. Well, of course it was. This was their final battle, to test their mettle. At least it ended right!

She flew up into the air, her weapon forming into her hands. It felt stronger, now, though she couldn't tell why. She heaved the axe into the knight, striking a solid hit.

Endzela appeared somewhere nearby - he'd unsummoned her or she'd been following the entire time. Endzela was the constant vigilant entity that he could count on.

"C'mon. Don't be shy with me now." Endzela chided.

Kettil let out a small sound and made a slashing motion at the knight. Endzela followed the signal and tried to claw at the figure with talons. The knight hit them both with a mighty swing.

The axe felt swollen in her hand, her fingers failing to wrap around it as well as it used to. She swung as hard as she could, despite the displacement of the weight suddenly feeling heavier in her hands.

The axe sunk into the knight, and warped before her eyes, thickening and lengthening its blade.

Endzela let out a screech as Kettil uttered something to her. The owl flung herself at the knight again, allowing herself to be used as a sort of weapon against the offending person.

"That's right! Hit him good, Endy!" Kettil encouraged as he tried to find a better tactical point to hit the knight from. Maybe..

She saw Endy joining the battle, and she let out a glorious, free laugh as she hacked away at the knight. With each swing, she felt her arms strengthen as needed to wield the axe - but with each swing, the axe still got heavier. Bigger. More dangerous.

By the time she'd arched up the last swing, the axe head was bigger than her body, but she couldn't see it behind her as she held it up. A violent war cry ripped from her lips as she brought the mighty weapon down onto the knights head.

Endzela went in for another strike letting out another screech. Kettil let out another encouraging sound. There. He thought he saw the weak point, "I think I got it from here!" He murmured thoughtfully as he moved to take advantage.

Trying not to stare longingly at Freya as she made her own hits.

The axe was swung down hard, and .. missed entirely. It embedded itself on the floor at the knight's feet.

"Oops."  

[Pales]

Kettil swung himself about to make his greatest tactical hit ever...

Then he missed.

"Anticlimatic," he sighed a bit.

"Hooter!" She called out, laughing in embarrassment. "I thinks this knight is showings us who is boss!" She swung her axe around the back of the knight's neck, embedding it's still enlarging blade into the silvery armor.
