Anything else? - I am excited to be a first year here at Hogwarts. I enjoy reading, writing, drawing, cooking and some Muggle hobbies (like playing video games). Her homework done, Hailey got started on trying to turn her match into a sewing needle. Laying the match flat on her desk Hailey tapped it while saying the incantation 'verto is compositus in a postulo'

The match's end turns sharp but otherwise nothing else happens.

Elise picks up a match and sets it in front of her.
She thought of all the factors needed for transfiguration.
And a bit hesitantly, she said, " Verto is compositus in a postulo" and touched her wand to the match.
But nothing happened.

Touching her wand tip to the match, Hailey clearly thought about it slowly turning into the needle and clearly said the incantation; "Verto is compositus in a postulo".

Hailey screams as the spell backfires and covers her cheek where the match's pointed end from her first attempt scratched her. She puts her wand on the desk and sits there holding a corner of her robe to stop the bleeding.

Elise was ready to try again.
She thought of all the factors.
She tried to multiply the power in the core of her wand to her mental image of a needle to the weight of the matchstick with the resitability of a needle.
She then tried to divide all this by her power then multiply it by the full willpower.
It was all a bit jumbled in her head, but she was sure she was close.
She tapped her wand to the match and said, "verto is compositus in a postulo."
And it worked! It's not perfect, but it worked!
Elise smiles and walks away from the needle.
