It wasn't too often that Sal came across a bunch of horsemen in one place, but that was mostly his fault; he was always off, getting lost somewhere, or perhaps reading in his tent. Yet today, there it was; a gathering of Horsemen around a little set up that seemed to be all about Prom. Interesting! He had gone to the last prom and met a delightful little fledgeling. Perhaps this time he could make full use of it, and bring someone more his age?
"Ah, Prom! That was a delightful event last year." Sal murmured outloud, moving in to mingle with the rest of the crowd, noting a few of them were already pairing themselves up. Well, that seemed easy enough! Curiousity did get the best of him though, and he moved to try and see who it was that decided to run this particular little gathering. It didn't take him long to spot Ying...or to recognize her handwriting up close.
"...Ah." The Sage cleared his throat awkwardly.
Well, he shouldn't have been surprised.

"I'm saying you're a fraidy flycat!" Ying chirped happily, prodding Tseng towards the board. "C'mon, what's the worst that could happen!!"
When Kiwi approached, Ying was all smiles. He had cloth in his hands, meaning he was most likely requested her services; she loved making clothing for her friends, so it was nothing but exciting to her. He seemed apprehensive though, and Ying was a bit baffled as to why he was tripping over his words so much. Why, he sounded just like her!
But as soon as the question was popped, Ying's face was a red mirror of his own, perhaps even more so. Someone was asking her to prom? Kiwi was asking her to prom? DID THIS MEAN KIWI HAD A CRUSH ON HER? WERE THEY GOING TO GET MARRIED???
She was about to croak out a response when she saw Salbei standing almost directly behind Kiwi. Sadness broke on her face and instead she replied, "A-Are you sure its okay? I m-mean there are many other beautiful mares here ... I am sure they would be very happy with your company. I do not think I am suitable, Kiwi" An odd sort of glumness colored her tone, one that was very, very uncharacteristic for the bubbly horseman. "N-Not that I do not think you are wonderful! I am just worried that I am not a very good choice is all."

Aeron stiffly rose from his bow again, looking to Lan now as she addressed him and nodded. "Forgive me for being rude. I am Aeron, Death guardian. I have just made my way to the reserve."
He waited, seemingly for something before holding the flower out to Lan. "I have been told by Ying that it is custom to give this to a beautiful mare in hopes that they would take someone to Prom. I do not understand the significance but realize without a proper escort that I will be nothing more than-" He ahemed a little, "Embarrassment to my clan. If you do not have a date, pretty mare. Would you like to go with me?"
All the politeness.

Pro-om? Pro-o-om? Pro-o-o-o-o-o-o-om?
Sounded weird. Like a conquest kind of thing. At least, it sounded lame until Siska witnessed a guardian - a Death guardian - asking out some mare. Admittedly, Siska was pretty sure that mare was conquest, but if a guardian was asking someone to prom then obviously it was way more dignified than she was giving it credit for.
She hastily scrawled her name on the list before she could talk herself out of it. Maybe someone would notice her? chiis dumb list 1. Saiyuri 2. Siska - Sempais 3.

There could have been an answer for Ying, raising her eyebrows a little, Lifen had been willing to offer up her assistance to the other Artisan, always the kind to take on cloth work, but then it hit her.
"Bao Yu!" she cried out suddenly when she was basically tackled by her older sister, almost flailing to turn around and peer at the woman behind her, looking down and seeing a second pair of see-through legs, sealing the confusion. Sighing out of her nose, she couldn't stay angry with her, and turning to Ying, she finally tried to get out what she wanted to say.
"I would love to help you, Ying. Whatever you need of me, please let me know. Also . . ." She murmured, turning her head to peer over her shoulder, pointing with her thumb. "Want to find this girl a date? She could use it." She chirped, laughing lightly, before catching the sight of Shaheen coming up to her and her sister, peering up at her with a little smile.
"Miss Ying has decided to assist those who are interested in Prom, to find dates, if they do not have them." She offered up, palm out towards the little Artisan. "It is a nice idea, I do not think Shikoba would be terribly arsed to try prom again, mm?" She asked, before turning towards Bao Yu.
"This is Shaheen, she is a good friend of mine." She offered, before turning up to Shaheen once more. "This is my older sister, Bao Yu. She recently found her way with the small entourage who showed up."

A laugh as she watched, and nearly flailed with, her sister. Bao Yu would have kept her up right. She just stayed wrapped around the younger of the two as Lifen started talk about.. something. She'd interrupted a conversation. Ah, well. Manners weren't her strongest point, when it came to family. However, she stayed silent until Lifen motioned to her.
Stepping to the side, she pushed her glasses up and squinted at her sister before looking to the other two. Bending at the waist very slightly, she would bow to the other two girls and then looked back at Lifen. "Dearest Lifen.. If you could kindly not try to find me a... date for whatever it is that's happening, I would much appreciate it. After all, you've mentioned I've only recently arrived. One could draw the conclusion that I am not very interested in having more than friends." Her brow arched as she spoke before turning to the other two girls.
"Hello. I should thank you for seeing to it that my little sister has managed to stay together after everything happened. As much as she can stay together, that is." Her hands moved to play with that short hair Lifen sported and petted her affectionately.

Lan could have gasped, clapped her hands together at Kiwi asking out Ying. Really a good match. Of course Salbie showed up, which was awkward, and then- Then she was being asked to prom. There was a look of shock that ran over her face, followed by a mild flush. Pink cheeks as she took the flower, she twirled it in her hand. "........." She wasn't quite sure how to respond at first. He flattered her, which was nice. But- "Before I answer...What makes you a suitable candidate to be my... date to this Prom?" She kept twirling the flower. She was still not sure how to really respond.

Aeron cleared his throat and took a moment to redeem some qualities that would appeal to the conquest horseman.
"I will not lie when I tell you, Noble Conquestian, that I am out of my element of asking mares on dates. I have had no training and my former priestess had banned me from such activities." He crossed his arms, "I am not a bad looking stallion, I am born of a conquest mare and Death stallion as well and am aware of proper etiquette's and manners."
He shifted a bit, as well as his tone. "I am also prepared for battles, trained on escorting techniques. I have not thus, heard complaints of my protection as well." He waited...
"I am afraid that is all I have Noble Mare....Speaking of proper etiquette, My name is Aeron of the Death Guardians. A pleasure to meet you."

]Eitri wasn't sure what 'prom' was given he was relatively new to this whole situation. But it seemed to be a party involving dates and who was he to deny a woman his company for the evening? He grunted and chuckled; he wasn't really that arrogant but having the company of a lady for the evening in a big party wouldn't be that big of a deal, would it? It might even be fun. He'd show the Halloweeners how to have a good time as well as the horseman. Perhaps he'd bring some of his special mead..
So he signed his name on the board in rather scribbly writing and shuffled back to the edge of the gathering crowd. He didn't really know anyone just yet. They were all faces he'd seen in passing but none that he was familiar with. He wiped a hand across his face, smearing coal dust on his nose before letting out a sigh. He'd have to sweep a girl off her feet or else he'd look like an idiot.chiis dumb list 1. Saiyuri 2. Siska - Sempais 3. Eitri - ladies only.

Nergui had been hiding away for the better part of the last week and a half, but with recovery came restlessness and the mare was keen to stretch her legs again. She certainly didn't mind sleeping among lush furs and other things, but with the thrum of voices in the mare's head, she simply couldn't stick one place for too long. Grey hair piled atop her head and framed by downy wings and filigree, Nergui had actually returned her veil to it's original purpose, though she had not bothered with letting the sheer fabric over the right side of her face. Aside from the swath of bright bandages that traced over her shoulder and upper arm she had dressed in buttery cream skirts with a fitted bodice, lace climbing up from her bust. Over a week in naught but a flouncy gown, the mare had felt inclined to place a little more effort into her appearance then was usual. Arriving at the gathering, she immediately moved to offer Lifen and Shaheen proper greetings, and would have moved on to Lan and Kiwi, but the both of them appeared to be predisposed at the moment. There were also a good number of new faces scattered throughout from all clans, but it was those from Death that caught her eye. Mainly a rugged stallion whom looked as though he was no stranger to hard work and using his hands. Curious, she walked over to him on bare feet., head tilting gently to one side. "I don't believe we've met, though you seem mildly familiar."

Honest, a good trait. He was also continuing his flattery. Also a good trait. Bold, saying he was attractive to the eye, and of mixed parentage. But- aware of proper etiquette and manners. More than others might say. "Lan." She said, tone a bit less harsh that what it could have been. "I am called Lan. Half my clan's blood in your veins does not require you to hold my station above your own. As is Aeron, guardian and horseman of death.." She spun the flower. "......I will consider your proposal. You will have my response my sunset. It is as well a pleasure to meet you." Her face had lit up like a lantern. "............................." ".................. and I admire your forwardness." "......." She looked to Lifen. 'help I just got asked out what do I do'

Aeron's only remark was to incline his head gently towards Lan and nod.
"Then I will wait till Sunset for your answer...Lan." Whew that was hard, saying it without proper titling. He turned on his heel, quite awkwardly and stiffly moving over to Ying because he needed help all the sudden. "Until then. Farewell."
"Young Mare Ying..." Aeron didn't mean to interrupt but he really needed to ask her for something..."What does one wear to this prom?"

Prom sounded kinda of weird. One dresses up nicely and... And then what? Not get your outfit all scuffed up? It probably meant no fighting or shows of manliness and brawn. And there was matchmaking involved? One could not go to prom alone? Very, very weird... But, in all honesty, it did give Thrain a chance to put to use the pretty outfit Ying had made for him recently. A dashing thing, really, and he had been wondering if there had been any parties around here. Prom answered that question quite neatly, even if it sounded a little odd. So even though the idea of being randomly paired with a stranger was not necessarily his cup of tea, the Death Guardian was also loathe to miss out on some fun. Especially if it meant meeting new people! "Well met, Ying of Conquest, and Organizer of Prom Match Making!" Whew, what a name! "I am not sure what prom is, exactly, but you made me such a sharp outfit that I must put it to use! But not alone, so please match me up with a pretty filly." The stallion winked at Ying before he noticed how many people were here already. After signing up with Ying, the Death Guardian quickly sidled over to two he knew. "Shaheen, what are you doing here? Surely it is not to look for accompaniment to prom! And same for you Lady Lifen!" Best greeting ever, right? With a grin he fiddled with the flower given to him, trying very hard to be delicate with it and not crush it. Not when he was to give it away!

Eitri straightened himself up when the priestess addressed him. He gave a bit of a shuffle and a grunt by way of greeting; perhaps a little nervous that a female was approaching him so suddenly. And then it occurred to him that she could just be making conversation and he shifted his weight, a large hand patting her on the shoulder - though he was careful to steer clear of the bandaged one. A grin spread across his lips. He was perhaps a little too casual, given her position; but he wasn't one to look down or up to others. Everyone was treated equal by Eitri.
"I believe you've commissioned me before; but we've never had the pleasure of meeting outside of business." He stroked his chin, smooth from a recent shave. "I believe it was a hair pin. A fiddly piece but I hope it turned out to your liking."Beejoux I JUST GUESSED @ COMMISSION. I HOPE THAT'S OKAY DJGHD

"I am NOT a coward! How does going with or without a date have anything to do with fear? I think you may be a few beads loose of a necklace!" Tseng huffed out before grinning to Lan, "Life is indeed a battlefield. Perhaps I should be shouting more often then!"
