My mom knows... my grandparents both know... my aunts know... everyone knows... and they know I ain't straight.
They don't care, or at least don't seem to. My mom finds my yaoi/shounen-ai manga amusing. My grandparents (whom I live with) don't care, though my grandpa I think ignores it... my grandmother reads any male/male stories I write with my own original characters. As long as it's "innocent". I wouldn't dare show my grandmother my more *cough* hardcore yaoi stories. Nobody knows I write hardcore stuff, they just think I look at it/read it.
S e r i t h is the only one who is permitted to access my "happy" hardcore stuff.

They don't really know...but it's not like it's a secret. My parents have a sort of unspoken don't ask/don't tell thing when it comes to gay stuff. My dad more than my mom.

personally, i'm not a yaoi craze or watever you want to call it... but yeah. my sister is in luv with yaoi that it kind of grosses me out. i mean i like it but man... she just stupifies me with it... well back to the real subject. my parents can really care less what i do. my mom's really cool about our privacy and never makes a fuss with our interests, but my dad just is like "whatever". the only one got a problem with it is my older sister. she goes "EWWW!!!!" and turns the other way. but other then that she only teases us with it when she feels stupid.... maybe i kind of lucked out on that one. my family was never the homophobia kind.

Tropical Kiwi My parents don't care. XP My dad gladly bought my FAKE volume 7, wrapped and all, not caring at all. My parents even watched my FAKE OAV, Gravitation DVDs, and more. They even let me get both Selfish Love books, wrapped and 18+ each.
So. They don't care. At all. XD eek they buy you that stuff, man.. you really lucked out.

She once bought me Golden Cain in Houston one time and I have enjoyed reading it ever since. My dad knows that I like Yaoi and Boys Love and he doesnt care at all especially my aunt as well.

everyone seems to be back and forth with this thing. i mean, i think that if it was a couple or generations before this, then we would all be saying we were going to get our a@@ kicked if we even thought of that stuff. gonk

Both of my parents don't know what yaoi or shounen-ai is, but they know what gay people are. Both of them found out I was looking at Gravitation, and they made a big fuss over it for... a month? [I had to lie about what Gravitation just to get her to buy me the first two DVDs. TT^TT] But it quieted down. But when Brokeback Mountain was mentioned for winning the best director award at the Oscar this past Sunday, my mom kept on talking about it and how I wanted to see it and how I wanted to see 'gays.' To summarize so I won't bore anybody, my mom knows the English word for it, but not the Japanese word, knows what it is, and cares. My dad is the same, but probably forgot. ...But I was almost caught watching the 'bad' scenes in Kizuna and 'r@pe' scene in Fake. u.u,
