Aldis looked around nervously, waiting for his date to arrive. He had managed to find a suit and tie, and matched his mic to it. Yeah, the mic wasn't attached to anything, but it was still his mic. He loved the thing. He'd taken it from his dad seasons ago, and never handed it back. Aldis liked to think he had a good voice to go with the mic he always carried around.

Apparently his date had thought he had something good in him too, else she wouldn't have agreed. Right? Aldis fidgeted, looking around for Parvana.

Just out of the way, standing to the side of the path leading into the ball, the dark colored demon had paused, grumbling and fussing once again. "Remind me how the hell you talked me into this?" he snapped, fussing with the confining clothes he'd been forced into.

Having heard he had a 'date', whatever that meant, Takeko had been eager to get involved, pulling out an old trunk of things that she'd collected through the years for the family. Inside, some of Aspen's old things had been removed and laid out carefully as the Angel tried to find something 'formal' and fitting for her son. The two demons were roughly the same size, and though she'd gotten a little wistful while helping him find something, something she had managed nonetheless. No one would ever manage to get Kane to wear a full suit or even a tie...but what Takeko had accomplished could only be called a miracle.

The demon was wearing a plain, white dress shirt, and black formal pants. The bad parts were the collar and sleeves, they felt like they were choking him. However, the worst were the pants in general. Kane had decided immediately that he didn't like pants. He was never wearing pants again after this. Grumbling, his attention went back to the aquatic lady, wondering again how the heck the woman had gotten him to bring her to this thing. "Oh right...free food," he mumbled, remembering at last. With a sigh, he rolled his eyes and made a resolution to stop being so easy to bribe with promises of food. "There'd better be shrimp like you promised."

K'anpo peered around the corner and into the entrance of the temple warily. No signs of danger, lots of pretty Pae'il in fancy clothes...perfect. "Looks like this is it, Doc," he quipped to the Earth Pony behind him. He withdrew, grinning and tucking his wings tightly against his back. "So, there are lots of pretty ladies tonight; surely some without dates. We slip in, find ourselves a couple lovely ladies, then have a nice time dancing the night away. Nothing to it."

He paused, frowning a bit in thought. "Unless it's all a trap, like that time...no, no, no, couldn't be. I haven't seen any slime mages since we got to this Telrunya-place. I'm sure it's fine," he finished with a grin at his compatriot.

"Lillison!" the angel called out, waving a hand in the air. He wasn't normally one to call attention to himself, but it was a party atmosphere, and there were a lot of Pae traveling in the same direction. He worried if he didn't meet up with Lillison soon, that he'd never find her. Fortunately, he was wrong on that point, and he quickly made his way to the Naiad's side, smiling. "I'm glad you decided to come. It sounds like it's going to be quite a party," he commented, offering her his arm. He didn't get out much, due to his home being so remote in comparison with most Pae homes, but...he did remember how to behave in public.

He was a simple Pae, and it showed in his simple formal wear. He wore a plain shirt and pants, with an open jacket. Many plant fibers were useful as textiles and other materials, if one had the patience to grow, harvest, and work with them. Until recently, he hadn't had much else to do when not working his farm alone.

The work had been easier lately, or perhaps only more pleasant. Lillison had spent a lot of time on the farm with him, asking questions, helping where she could. He sincerely appreciated both her enthusiasm and her help. Hopefully, being her escort to the party tonight would be enough encouragement so that she could relax and have some fun.

Normally, the bright little Naiad would have been a bubbly, excited ball of energy slipping into a party like this. Oh, she was glad to be here, but her usual enthusiasm had been tempered by recent events. Her father was missing...as was the Queen. And all because she'd gone to the Queens quarters that night to ask if she might want to get out of the palace for a while and go to a party. She sighed. Funny, how it could all go so crazy so quickly.

Her own testimony, what she'd told her father about the Queen's disappearance, how he'd gone to investigate, but never come back to tell her what happened that night, coupled with the Queen's aquatl mellon and the eyewitness account he'd come back with...the palace had been a flurry of activity preparing for a search.

But this was her father, afterall. Sure, she was worried, but...it was her father. As long as he was there, the two of them would be fine, she knew it. Even so, she couldn't just sit in the palace and do nothing while the guards and scouts were out searching. She needed to get out for a while, even if they wouldn't let her help. So instead, she'd gone to a party on the mainland.

Maybe it wasn't appropriate behavior in some Pae's eyes, but...everyone copes with stress and anxiety differently.

Wrapped in a silken dress, the material iridescent and eye catching as pearl shell, the Captain's daughter slipped into the party, her recent experience in Court giving her the appearance that she belonged there, completely.

The demi-goddess sighed, watching the Pae'il parade in through the door. It was like watching a herd of sheep. No one particularly interesting catching her eye as of yet, she remained where she stood, tot he side of the room and out of the main flow of Pae'il traffic. She wouldn't have normally had much interest in such things, but her mother, Artemis, was expected here, so the invitation had extended to her daughter as well.

Like a good hunter, the teen kept out of the way and observed. She needed to find some way to entertain herself though, or she thought she might go crazy or die of boredom here amongst all these boring mortals. Ugh...when would Mother be done with her business? She could at least ask her if there might be anything else she could do here, other than stare at people.

Though...she finally spotted someone that didn't look like a completely boring adult. He looked sort of like those Angel Pae, except...his wings were soaking wet. Did he just...go dive in a lake before coming inside? Silly, but, that's sorta' what it looked like. That's when she noticed he also had fins instead of ears. Well, now that was interesting. A slow spark of interest crept into her expression, watching the Water Angel from across the room.

The deaf demon had made his way into the ball room. He had to find the gorgeous fae that he'd asked to attend the dance with him. It would be interesting to see how she handled his not being able to hear the songs. She hadn't seemed to mind it earlier. Bneut grinned a bit. Loosing his children and his mate had been a hard blow. It had taken him a lot of courage to even ask someone to this crazy dance with him.

The demon's wings fluttered around, lifting him off the ground to see if he could spot the large bow on Nyx's back.

Unaware that his dapper companion was leading him astray, he pointed to the buffet tables. "Rocky and Stoney like dark, quiet places. Let's check the restroom!!!" he said, taking off toawrd the buffet tables with great earnest.
Galloping the whole way.

Cadassi nearly jumped out of his skin when she said his name. Standing up at once, he dusted his white suit off and proceeded to take off his hat and bow. "My fair crazy. I mean, lady!!!" he said, blushing puurple all the way to his toes. "May I say that you look stunningly deadly tonight?" he asked. A little too much flattery but he figured he'd butter her up now. He was there a couple years ago. He might just die tonight.

Looking as dapper as he could manage in these primitive conditions on this island, Doctor straightened his shiny red tie covered in white hearts as he entered the room behind his friend, K'anpo. He flicked a small, yellow down feather off his shoulder, curious where that could have come from, before noticing that many of the others in attendance indeed had large feathery wings.

He chuckled at the mention of slim mages, "Yes, let's hope they don't show up here tonight. I'm wearing my new tie and would hate to have it soiled. On the other hand, if we have walked into another trap, let's hope it's like that time those beautiful Roselia triplets with the erm ... limber limbs got a little hungry. Now that's one binding situation I wouldn't mind finding myself in again." He gave a wink to his partner and started scanning the room.

"Well then, let's get the party started. Let's start over there. There's a pretty little filly I think I'd like to introduce to my friend K'anpo."

Leitha shook her head. He was trying to be sweet. She at least had to give him a break for that right? During this contemplation, Leitha shrugged, shaking her head from side to side, finally ending it in a tilt. "Why do you act so scared around me Shark Boy?"

The naiad looked at him, amethyst eyes narrowed. It seemed like the look on her face as fixed into a permanent scowl. It would be hard to believe it was possible for her to smile. Yet it'd happened. Once or twice, though he'd never have noticed it. He had caused at least one of those rare moments.

"It's rapidly growing dark, I've got no power here." The naiad almost smirked. Everyone here was safe. For now.

Opal looked up and grinned for what felt like the hundredth time. He looked about as comfortable a sack of weasels in a storm drain. She told him as much, too. Even if she was as uncomfortable as he was. Giving a dramatic sigh, she walked over to him and grabbed his arm. "Follow me." she announced, before marching them both forward.

When she came to the open doors of the party, she simply pointed. Surely, ythe massive buffet tables would be worth the poor tiger's effort.

Cadassi couldn't help it. His head jerked up and he grinned. "You mean it? You can't kill me?" he asked, about ready to skip around in joy.This was amazing.
Clearly given a boost in confiedance, he offered her his arm. He was officially in heaven. "Shall we?" he asked.

Twirling, Twinkleshine looked to each side, completely taken aback by just how beautiful her dress had turned out; she'd need to remember to commend both Hoity and Rarity on their work on it. So simple, yet so... her. Yes, that was the right way to put it: her. Looking to either side, she waited for her date to arrive. Surely he was on his way by now, but she would have been surprised if he -was- on time, with him being barely able to walk and all.

Until he arrived, though, she would be waiting alone, impatiently of course.

Clearly Cadassi was having too much fun for her to ruin it. She could kill him if she truly wanted to, it would just get her fancy dress too messy. Rolling her eyes, Leitha took his arm.

"I believe we shall. Just keep on your best behavior, or I'll remember it next we meet in the daylight." The naiad gave a scary smile. Or was that a real one? It was hard to tell with Leitha.

"Near the aquariums, if you don't mind. I'm not going to dry out because you want to dance."

So exciting! Her first fancy formal ball. Xanthea pulled out all the stops for this, securing what she found to be an absolutely gorgeous ensemble. There wasn't much to it, but some fabric, fancy ribbons and a few little things she found in the HQ ruins. She didn't haul a bunch like the others, but she'd picked up a few pretty things from the costumes that were left. Her dress was blue like a sapphire, and wrapped around her, tied at her waist with the silver ribbon. She wore her long curls up in a fancy ponytail, adorned with some of those fake gemstones she found.

She even took special care in picking out beautiful flowers for the corsage she was going to give Elizabeth. She found the most beautiful crystal blue flowers growing on the edge of the forest and she knew instantly they'd be perfect for her good friend.

The pair had mutually decided to meet prior to the ball and then arrive together. It was definitely a good choice because she had the chance to give the blue flower corsage and be jealous of Elizabeth's gorgeous outfit, too.

Entering the grand ballroom of the temple was quite the overwhelming sensation for the simple little Angel. She'd never seen anything so fancy in her life. "So pretty!" she gushed.

"Elizabeth, everything is so fancy. Am I dressed right for this?" She looked at her own put-together dress and felt a little under dressed.

Leilani sighed, his words calming her already panicing heart. When she had insisted, she hadn't thought there would be this many people here. Nor erotes. Nor mellons. She was beginning to doubt her sanity.

However, with Theron so happy, she was happy to let him have one night wthout "crazy lani" coming through.

She had choosen a beautiful floor length dress with enough skirt that it looked like large ruffles on the skirt. The silk had golden flowers embroidered throughout the fabric. Her hair, which she usually wore down, was put up in simple curls with a beautiful blue flower attached at her temple.

Grabbing onto his arm, she puuled out onto the dance floor. "What good is beauty without fun?" she asked before letting loose and moving to the small string quartet's music.

Atlantis took a deep breath and walked up to his waiting date, red rose in hand as a small gift and smiled as he got closer, from what he saw so far she looked beautiful, not having seen the dress due to wanting to get a surprise when he saw her in it "you look radiant" he said as he handed her the rose and stood in front of her and offered her his arm "Hoity did a fabulous job on it!" He said looking her over once more before as he gestured towards the door "shall we go?".

Fea Line

Lust had never felt more beautiful then when she had tonight, the floor length dress that Hoity had made her was beautiful! She could have not asked for a more beautiful dress! She truly had to thank him greatly for this, how she didn't know but somehow she would and thanks to her aunt she had her hair done beauifully, it was a simple style but a beautiful one never the less and thanks to her aunt also she wore a beautiful white gold and diamond necklace that her aunt had let her borrowed and now all she needed was her date to make this the best night ever.
