Before, still looking very green and very much like he was willing to take the stomach-guy's permission at face-value, instead gave Belladonna a thumb's up as he focused on his wheel. The weapon had holes carved onto her surfaces so he wasn't completely unaware of his surroundings, however. When Madison began her spiel on Insanity, the Misty wished with his whole heart to agree in a cool, calm manner. Instead he barely managed to croak out "Hear them? They can't ******** stop talking about Home in ******** surround sound."
And that's when something arrived and proceeded to attack them, preemptively ruining any chances of avoiding a fight. And for Before to keep whatever semblance to composure he had. Call whatever you want, reflexes, instincts, loyalty, a sense of duty, ******** it was, it made him lunge forward in an attempt to parry the strike from Madison.
Before was no Moon, he was a Mist with leanings towards Life except right now the ever-shifting look of the room just made him motion-sick. And instead of his just wheel striking the Insanity-fueled hound (******** b***h, why did it always have to be a ******** b***h?) there was also... CONGRATULATIONS, PROJECTILE VOMIT IS A GO!
"Augh, ********, gross" he gurgled in disgust, shoving a glove into his pocket before wiping the sick from his mouth with the back of his hand. DDDDDDX
WASH YOUR HANDS THAT IS DISGUSTING!!!! DO NOT TOUCH MEEEEEEE!!!! Vanna shrieked.
"Yes, gross, but on the plus side, that feels loads better," he chuckled weakly. "Still think we had anything to do with that?" He pointed at the creature that had just attacked four of their number 8I

As if on cue to his words, one of them arrived. This time, again, it was nobody that the zomboil actually recognized, though of course that didn't make it any less painful when sharp claws raked down and across his body. He let out a sharp his, holding out his arms to attempt to fend off the blow, though it did nothing to stop it, or to save Belladonna from the same fate.
"s**t..." He muttered, then lurched forward. He needed to do something! The whispers of home were tantalizing, but he didn't want to go like this.
He made a clumsy move to swing a punch at the insanity fog, but missed completely. And thus Alexanders first attempt at an attack as a year three, a hob, failed miserably.

And then their nice conversation with the Hunter ghoul was interrupted in a most impolite way. A foggy creature, just a silhouette, a shadow of what it used to be, attacked everyone in the room. It was hard to say what exactly was this creature slightly resembling a wolf : it could be just the number of insanity particles, or a hunter, or a student, or even a fellow clansman... but even if that was the case, she had no sympathy to opponent: right now it was the enemy and there was no time to hesitate.
With a loud battle cry Eisheth threw a little vial she was always keeping in her empty stomach in intruder's direction. A vial fell on the floor, broken; immediately a little cloud of gas surrounded the insanity monster, the air was smelling of an oil and plants. That was her favourite poison: the Firefly.

All the angry words being tossed about were deeply unsettling to the witch, mostly because she couldn't decide who to go after as well. Somewhere in the back of her mind a small voice told her that wasn't her, that this was wrong and that she needed to clear her head, but the witch instead watched a chair swirl into white fog and felt the little voice in her head disappear too. Feeling as though the Horseman and Hunter squabble wasn't for her, she instead turned her attention to the rather sick looking fellow and was about to say something further to him when Alexander snapped at her. With a petulant frown, the witch had lowered her eyebrows to a disdainful look and turned a little so that she could glare at him over her shoulder. That little voice came back, said this wasn't how she acted, Alexander was a friend and could be trusted, but the witch blinked the noise away. And then he... Then he said... In a flash the witch was right underneath him, one hand out and wrapped around the front of his shirt so that she pulled him down closer to her. Whatever sweet expression she had ever worn around him was now miles away and only the angriest face looked up at him. "You do not jacking lie to me. He is fine and I will find him again." She hissed, ready to threaten him when something whispered behind her.
A shriek of pain was all she could manage as she was struck, effectively knocked down by the attack. It had hurt quite a lot, enough that she let out a tiny note of frustration as she stood back up. For a moment she felt a flicker of worry over Alexander, over the others hit too. But it passed quickly and instead the witch held both hands out, palms toward the ceiling. In a burst of pink light a deck of cards appeared that she immediately threw out into the air where they snapped back to form a circle around her. Already angry at being lied to by someone she considered a friend, and certainly about such a serious topic, the witch was already furious. Both hands rose up and flicked toward the foggy creature and on command a few cards flew forward, slicing at its form. There weren't any words to say, not about anything, as she stared down the creature and hoped Alexander was wrong.

The shouting made him uncomfortable. it didn't seem to fit here. Obviously something else didn't like it either, as the wolf made of fog attacked four of them that had been talking the most.Billy wasn't really sure he should side with any of them. It's not like he owed any one of the other students anything. or the horsewoman. Of course, he wasn't at all fond of Hunters either, but they hadn't attacked... him at least. the foggy wolf yes, but it went after them first. Where his alarm at it's appearance went he didn't know. He was more uneasy, he couldn't trust any of these people.
But that thing might try to attack him next, unless it ignored stationary things. He kind-of wanted to stay still and hope the fog hid him. But no, the thing may still attack. He would attack it first. He shoved past one of the others to get a kick in at the thing, and was rewarded with the satisfying feel of hitting something semi-solid. This thing was only hiding in the fog he thought. He'd given up on speaking to the rest, they wanted to scream at each other. Let them.

"Do what you want," Madison sighed at the Horseman. "I'm not going to attack you unless you force my hand-"
And then her hand was forced, though not by the Horseman. With only one blade out, Madison wasn't able to parry effectively, and the claws tore at her, leaving sharp tracks through the fog. Kouki let out a hissing cry in her mind, and she drew her second blade.
"Nobody's stopping you! Just go home!" Madison shouted at the canine beast, pointing a sword at the creature's nose before leaping forward, driving Kouki through as hard as she could. Despite the Horseman's misgivings, they were fighting side-by-side, weren't they...

Now that was hectic again; everyone chaotically moved around the room hitting the foggy thing; any attempt to get into the conversation was futile. Pathetic, thought Eisheth; only Hunters would use chit-chat in a situation like this, and warriors? Warriors need to fight.
She quickly summoned her weapon, Hell Welder, and sent it towards the creature. Her blow was successful, but perhaps, mostly because of the Firefly poison: the insanity beast's moves were significantly slower now, and it could not manage to dodge the sharp chain. It dodged the actual blade, though.
Looks like they would be having a hard time here. All of them.

"I'm not lying to you!" Alex's voice was becoming deeper, darker, and more menacing the more the witch accused him of lying about what he'd heard. "I just told you what somebody else told me. You can choose to believe it or not, I don't really jacking care anymore."
The creature struck again, this time not hitting Alexander. Probably because he wasn't even a threat to it's existence, with the way he was currently fighting. While it was distracted with the others, he lunged forward again, but the foggy hands clung to him, gripping his pant leg, his feet, making him sprawl forward into the fog before he could even get close to landing a hit.
Really, how had he even passed his hob exam?

Though her cards continued to circle her in mid-air, they did not at all bother to stop the paw that struck her. The little attempt she made at dodging it only put her closer to the creature, so with a staggering gait the witch retreated closer to Alexander. "Are you planning on just loitering all day?" She asked him as she pulled out another card and flicked it toward the mist monster. A condescending look was given to the zombie a moment longer before she pointed at the mist creature and instead shifted her focus to it. "As for you, I am afraid that your home is actually very close. But then again, I doubt the 'home' you are looking for is anything physical. Pity, really." The witch heaved another sigh as she took a few more steps behind the zombie. Maybe this weird feeling of distrust didn't want her particularly close to him, but it did want her safe. Speaking of safe... An idle eye glanced over to the Hunters and the one with the spikey wheel. "Good Hecate, are you feeling altogether well?" She asked Before with a wave of her hand to clear the lingering little stench of his breath. There was something so vaguely familiar about him that Belladonna just couldn't stop talking to him in hopes she'd figure it out. Odd, indeed.
