Though it was hard to keep her breathing steady, Belladonna managed to keep her frantic breathing to just low enough to hear if the girl was chasing her or not. After a whole minute of nothing, the witch chanced a look over her shoulder.
She's not... She's not still chasing me? She wondered and actually faltered to a stop. Unless she was planning a sneak attack, the witch was alone in the woods.
But then again, maybe not.
Belladonna jumped back to a run and though she wasn't sure where she was going or what direction would lead her back to the school, she just ducked her head down and tried not to plow into any trees.
That had been
ridiculous!
Were all Hunters like that? Did they all attack so fiercely and without reason? And why did that little girl have such a giant weapon when Belladonna only had her FEAR, which didn't even work properly?
As the witch ran, her mind rolled.
It wasn't fair. It just
wasn't fair.
Hunters got to use their FEAR against them, while she could only slap and punch. Maybe it would have gone better if the witch had remembered her cards earlier, but why did that small girl get to be so powerful? And how could Belladonna get stronger?
A strange clicking noise made the witch look up and she realized she had run straight into a portal and was unknowingly running through one of Amityville's halls.
Now that she was home, now that she was safe, Belladonna allowed herself to get angry.
Hunters had hurt her friends, her loved ones, her schoolmates. They had almost hurt her.
And now that she had tussled with one, she knew what they were capable of.
Armed with such a knowledge, the witch turned back toward her dorm room and seethed. She was angry over her failure, over how unjust it had all seemed, but mostly she was angry over the fact that the girl had been rude and refused to give any information.
It just isn't fair.Lucyal
Woot, woot! Battle over! Thanks for the fun battle!
