He simply nodded as they walked, listening to her as she spoke. He lead them down the street and eventually made his way into a small book store, holding the door open for her unintentionally as he entered. Once inside he turned a light on to light up the shop. "I can understand that, you not being used to people seeing you and what not. And it's not like I knew what else to say, first time I've ever walked through someone." He chuckled softly. "As for me being human, I never said I was." He turned to face her as he pulled down his hood to reveal his lupine ears and light brown shaggy hair.

She continued to follow him and stopped as he did. She watched as he lowered his hood and reveal the ears. Well, this explained why he could easily see her on the streets. She smiled and peered at he ears closer. To her they were adorable, and she couldn't help but giggle. In the two hundred years that she had wondered the earth, she has never come across a being that had animal like ears. "I just assumed you were human since most other beings tend to ignore spirits." She replied as she took a step back. Smiling sweetly, she tilted her head to the side. "So you've never come across a ghost before? We are all over the world."

He raised a brow when she giggled but didn't question it. He kept his hood down for the moment as he headed towards a back room, walking out a moment later with a box full books that he used to re-stock the shelves. "I can't say I have, not that I know about anyways. If I ever saw a ghost before I never walked through them... I would have remembered that, it was weird." He admitted to her with a small shrug.

Maura watched as he disappeared and reappeared with a box of books. She followed him and began watching as he restocked the shelves. Smiling she focused her energy on picking up a book and opening it. She giggled as she turned a page. "Well, you have a point. It is a little weird, but you get use to it after a while. I remember, before my eternal afterlife start, I could see spirits. My first encounter was with a little boy, he ran right through it. It was weird, but I got use to it." She replied, giggling again as she turned another page. It had been a while she she look back on her human life. Maura was one of the few children in her time that was gifted with a third eye. It was ironic, in her view, that she became one of the many spirits that she had tried to help move on.

((I kind of figured. At least it was an easy fix.))
"So you've always been able to see ghosts then?" Nero asked curiously as he slid another book onto the shelf, looking over to see her apparently reading one of them. He thought back to her giggling when he showed her his ears and smiled. "Just so you know I have a tail as well, but that one is a pain to get back in if I pull it out." He was curious as to how long she had been dead for, but decided it'd be best not to question her in case it was a sore subject.

((Yup :3))
She looked from the nook to him and nodded. "Yes, but it was something I had to keep a secret. Back when I was alive, having the third eye wasn't accepted." She replied with a small shrug. The past never really bothered her. Maura always tried to look on the bright side of everything. Her eyes widened just a bit before going back to normal. "A tail? Really? That's wonderous!" She said, forgetting to focus on the book. Her energy level had lowered and the book fell straight through her hands.

Nero quickly bent over, catching the book before it hit the floor and stood back up straight. "Ha, I'm glad you think so. It's a bit of a pain in the neck to keep is concealed for so long. As I'm sure you can imagine if I get caught, I'm kind of screwed." He shrugged, sliding the book onto a nearby shelf. "Stick around long enough I might just show you. I am curious about something though... how long have you been, you know... um... a ghost?"

Maura wasn't sure how to respond to him when he said that he would be screwed if he was caught. She wasn't sure what would happen, but thinking about it made her sad. She knew that there were some humans out in the world that hunted the non human beings. Though, it was different for her because there wasn't much that a human could do to catpure her. She was a spirit afterall. Maura had the abilities of disappearing when ever she felt like it. She then started to focus on his question of how long she has been a ghost. She smile and laughed. It was a question that was normally asked when ever she had met someone that paid attention to her. "Well, if memory serves me well. I have been dead for the last two hundre years." She said with a little giggle.

Nero simply stared at her for a few moments after getting an answer, a bit shocked. "I always thoughts spirits were supposed to cross over or something. I can't say I expected anyone to stick around that long after death." He was a bit taken back that seemed to be so casual about it and light hearted, but after a couple hundred years it made sense.

Maura couldn't help but burst out laughing at how shocked he had seemed and by his answer. Yes, usually a spirit would move on a couple years after death. Though, there was always a reason that kept the spirit earth bound. Then again, each spirit was different. She had learned this before her death whe she had tried countless times to help spirits move on. She finally stopped laughing and smiled at him. "Yes, usually a spirit would have crossed over and moved on shortly after death, but I guess I'm different." She said her smile disappearing. She knew there was a reason she was left behind, but she just couldn't find what reason this could be.

Nero couldn't help but laugh a little with her, he hadn't expected her to just burst out like that and her laugh was seemingly contagious. "Perhaps there is something that you need to still do then, some other purpose." He shrugged, pulling his hood back up as he did so and flipped the sign on the door over so that it said open. He walked over to the windows and pulled open the shades before hopping over the counter. "Either way feel free to make yourself at home. I'm not going any where anytime soon."

Her mind went racing when the boy had said that there was something that she might still need to do before moving on. There were many things that Maura could think of, but it was all human related. She couldn't fulfull her dreams as a ghost. It just seemed impossble. She focused her energy and pulled herself up ontop of the counter. "Well, I don't have anything better to do anyways, so I might as well just stay for a while." She replied and smiled at him. This was sort of a new experience for her; stalking someone at work as they knew about it.

"I guess I can understand that. Apparently you can still pick things up but I can't imagine how the hell you manage to keep yourself busy. I think I would have lost it if I were in your shoes." He said, grabbing a book from under the counter and starting to read it as a few people walked into the shop. Holding a conversation would be difficult, but he was sure he could think of something.
