Divination
Obviously, I have not finished setting up the classroom. The teacher, employed by the Headmaster, to teach Divination this year is Professor Tiyo Chumana, a gifted and celebrated seer from the Hopi Native American tribe (the Hopi reside in the northeastern part of the state of Arizona). Unfortunately, Professor Chumana has recently been experiencing extremely powerful visions. Fearful that these visions (and the state they leave her in) might interfere with her ability to teach, the Professor requested a teacher's assistant and I, Hope Maxime Hagrid, volunteered. Right now, Professor Chumana has returned to the village she grew up in, Hotevilla, to seek a possible treatment to help deal with her visions. I assure you that she will be back before the term starts. She also left me instructions in how she would like me to set up the classroom, but since I am also helping out my father with Care of Magical Creatures, I hope you can have a little patience with me.
I'll get it all sorted out just as soon as I can. In the meantime, however, I encourage anyone interested in signing up for the class to register here. Be sure to do it by September 18th, because the term begins the next day and I won't be adding anyone to the roster past that day. Also, as always, please post in your house colors.
To register, fill out and post the following: ((Note razz lease do not post in ornate style, as I will being doing that to make my posts stand out for your convenience.))

techpriest35 i would sign up but i dont like the way this class will be run so im not signiing up thx but not interested (i dotn like how just because im a 7th year i have to miss all your other lessons so im not signing up cause theres no point in doing extra work for only 5pts)
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm guessing you made your desicions based off of what I said in the staff room and, just in case, I'll try to further elaborate on how I think I'm going to run the Divination classes this year. But I'm always open for suggestions, so feel free to PM me if any occur to you.
The way I'm planning to set it up is that I'll have 4 lessons and a final for each year's class. Then each lesson will have 5 homework questions (worth 2 points each). I'm also thinking of including an extra credit question with each lesson, but I haven't decided, for sure, about that yet. Then, like I mentioned in the staff room, any student is welcome to complete the homework for any year's class that is below their own (if they have not already taken the class in the past) for half credit. At first I thought I might give full credit for it, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea because that's an awfully large amount of points to be handing out.
Also, since this is my first year teaching this class, in this way (I had it set up a bit differently when I taught the class before), I'm also thinking of having a little fun and offering a prize to the most dedicated student(s). This student would the the person who completes and turns in the most lessons, providing their homework has correct and quality answers. And, knowing me, the prize will most-likely be donation letter(s) from either September, October, or November of this year.
Like I said, I'm sorry you wont be taking the class, but I hope that gives you a bit more information in case you were having second-thoughts.
