"Yeah I start classes like tomorrow. Gotta find my dorm and hopefully my classes ain't too hard to find... you go there or somethin?" Kody kinda liked the idea of already knowing someone at the University. But she still couldn't quite figure the nagging feeling she was having, she was also scared the girl was gonna blow chunk on her.

"Yeah, I do. I was actually on my way there. I have time before my class, so I can guide you around." Karma offered with another smile. The strange feeling had lessened for now.

"I'm sure I can find my way." Kody didn't like people tagging along. "Besides I don't know how long I'll be with the councilor." It wasn't that she didn't appreciate the offer, she was glad for it. But she needed to work things out for herself, and the smell of the girl was driving her nuts. It was familiar and new all at once.

"Ah, right. Would it be okay if I tagged along to the campus?" Karma asked shyly. She was still trying to figure out what this feeling was.

"Yeah... I mean no since in splitting up until then." Kody felt a little bad for maybe hurting the girl. "I'm Kody by the way." She held out her hand and gave her a little smile.

Karma smiled, she was glad that she wasn't stepping over any boundaries. In the past, she had scared away a couple cute girls. She glanced at the hand before taking it in her's and shaking it. "I'm Karma." She said while releasing Kody's hand. There was something about the girl's skin that sent the hairs on the back of her neck standing. Then it hit her. Karma recognized the scent of Kody. She didn't smell human.

As soon as they touched hands Kody knew what was familiar to her. She was a wolf just like her. Her eyes shifted slightly and only for a second, she wasn't sure what she should do. As far as her pack knew there were no wolves in california, so there was no need to ask permission for her to come here. That was one of the two reasons she wanted to go to USD. Her hold body went on guard as they released hands, she didn't know what the next move should be.

Karma held her breath for a few seconds then released it. She wasn't sure what was going to happen now. That nauseous feeling had disappeared and was replaced by fear. She continued walking, ignoring the fact that she was standing next to another wolf. Karma was hoping that this wouldn't mean she had to defend her territory. She was, after all, the only other wolf in California. No pack to back her up. Besides, she wasn't much of a fighter anyways. Karma barely knew what it was like to be a wolf.

Kody went with the ignoring the situation for now. She was happy that there were no violent vibes coming off Karma, but then again that could be as bad if she had felt them. Kody needed to be alone and think about things now. But at the moment the silence was killing her. "So how long have you been in Cali?" She spoke naturally and avoided looking at her directly as much as possible.

"Oh, I've lived here my whole life." Karma replied softly, keeping her eyes ahead as they walked. She didn't want to make eye contact with Kody. She had no idea what was going to happen now. For some reason, Karma had the idea that Kody was sent here to make territory, but that had to be a crazy though because she wasn't getting a hostile feeling from the other girl. Well, not yet at least.

"Really?.... I don't recall hearing about a... group out here before.." Kody decided with other people around that it would be better not to mention the word Pack. She was very aware of what drawing attention to them would result in, and it was nothing good. She glanced at Karma to gage her reaction.

Karma bit her bottom lip and took in a deep breath. It took her a couple minutes to think of what to say. "Well, that's because there is no pack here. I'm the only one." She said in a low enough voice where Kody could still hear her. Karma's eyes became watery. The thought of being alone still hurt her.

"Your all alone?" Kody asked softly. She felt bad for Karma now, she would have hugged her if she were the type. Instead she loosely took Karma's hand as they walked. She had wished for years now that she didn't have to deal with her pack, but would be lost without them. It hurt to think of having no one, and it scared her that someone could easily take over.

Karma was shocked when she felt the other girl take her hand. She didn't understand why Kody was acting sympathetic towards her. She tightened her grip on Kody's hand. "Yeah, I am alone, and honestly, I don't know what it's like to be around others like us." She replied softly. For some odd reason, holding the other wolf's hand felt comforting, and that feeling of fear went away.

She felt her calm flow over them both as Karma gripped her hand, and then a small amount of shock took over her. "You've never been part of a pack?" Kody could imagine that at all. No wonder she hadn't picked her out sooner, she was more like a human than anything else.
