Joachim was barely moved in when a box was left in front of his door. It looked like some of his belongings were arriving late. Or were they?
There were large holes poked in the box and a scratching noise coming from the inside. Various postage markings covered the outside and there was an envelope taped to the outside.
A chicken scratch of handwriting smattered a note addressed to Joachim:
'Dear Joachim-
It was amazing to meet you at the Open House. I heard you got enrolled and I wanted to congratulate you! When I was hunting in my back yard this leaf got stuck in my hair. After a day or two it turned into this curious little creature! I have made sure that he's trained not to eat mice. DON'T WORRY! Hopefully we can be long distance friends.
