Yusaru zetricky Yusaru zetricky Yusaru zetricky Yush!!! I agree. You had to rely on cards like De-Spell, Remove Trap, and Trap Master. That was like back in 2003. There were hardly any Archetype decks and you just put in any card you want. Such good memories! x3 good times. good times. I miss the days when Red Eyes and blue eyes along with dark magician were the most sought after cards! Ya everyone would go buying a Starter Deck just to get those cards! I think at that time Dark Hole and Raigeki was still legal for use too. Yeah...It's like, "Hey, let's band some good but kinda cheap cards and start making good but REALLY cheap decks!! It's just wrong! Very true!! xDDD Hmm.. what else? Oh I remembered also that everyone would go forth attempting to summon the once "unbeatable" and "legendary" Blue-Eyes White Dragon and then later on would curse and get frustrated with a Dragon Capture Jar!! xDD Come on! I bet there's more people there aside from us who can relate!!! scream Yeah! Where are you people! Now's the time for ranting! And like you said, Blue eyes was unbeatable in his day! Was Blue eyes not enough for you people of Shonen Jump!? you HAD to go and make weaker cards that play them selves!? WHERE"S YOUR DIGNITY!?!?!?!?lols well there are now 4 of us here *waves at shrab* I don't mind em making easier types of summons. It makes the game newer every time! Although I must say it would be pretty epic to use an old deck at this time. It takes a skillful duelist to use one properly!! (if you take out the cheap cards xD) Well I stopped dueling by 2007 so I never really got used with the idea of Synchros. = w =""

shrab i miss those days sad back then regardless of what deck someone had you had a chance to win because every deck wasnt either complete crap or the best thing ever. it was pretty damn equal. i miss that. now its just a bunch of high priced pieces of trash going around in decks that destroy every shred of originality in the game... but at least konami is making money right? and isnt that what really counts? but anyway going away from that obvious sarcasm. i use like only 1 of those plays itself decks and thats only if im playing someone with a like dandywarrior or some generic crap like that so ill have a chance but what i really like working on is the skull servants. i remember when it was just skull servant and then the king came out and i used both in a random zombie deck. they barely got used but i could pull it off sometimes. anyway and then lady in wight was coming out and i was like YESSSSSSSS! so i went and got that s**t. and now its like... waitwaitwait another skull servant!? YESSSSSSSSSSSSSx2! its still not perfect and certainly not fast enough to keep up with most decks but its fun so eh w/e... and yes im done ranting now and you read none of it so LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL My bad. I'm tired. lol. I have Junk/warrior/synchron deck that keeps up with Blackwings and the such. but my water deck dominates a Junk, ect. deck, as well as a not so professional blackwing deck!

And also, not just using an old deck, but beating down some new decks to boot! =) That would be awe inspiring!! <3

You mean the formats where the only goal was playing the biggest monster and attacking until one of three Dark Holes or Raigekis hit you in the face?
Just from LOB and because there was no ban list at the time:
22 3 Man Eater Bug 3 Hane - Hane 3 Giant Soldier of Stone 3 Aqua Madoor 2 Sets of Exodia... I guess
15 3 Dark Hole 3 Raigeki 3 Monster Reborn 3 Pot of Greed 3 Swords of Revealing Light
3 3 Trap Hole
Every game, I win P:

Today's decks are just more powerful with their herp da derps.

Skill was most the of game back then. In those days, it was harder to keep your cards on the field for tributes, hence the skill.

They say "'sup?" Also, it's not skill when you keep two monsters on the field long enough to tribute for a Blue Eyes White Dragon. It's simply your opponent not drawing/using an answer to either of them. I could even argue that, with the limited card pool, the deck was easy to determine as opposed to a current format where at least a dozen decks contend for the tier one title. Then again, TeleDAD was one of the most skilled formats ever and it was dominated by a tier zero deck, so I won't bother with that side of the argument.

So it would appear that no matter how much we argue, neither of us is going to be moved. An Argument that's going no where is an argument that I will not continue. We each have our own opinion, and that's good enough for me.
