Cheers, old bean. Enjoyed that.

Must say, when discussing with that "unchienanglais" fellow, the conversation was rather polite and worthwhile, despite his political tendencies differing rather from my own. Well spoken, able to construct arguments, nice debate and a different slant on matters - I'd say that he'd be an asset here (apologies if speaking out of turn, O Captain, my Captain smile ).

That "grungekitty" lass, however: Not so impressive. Lazy arguments, just rehashed class-war cliches (The quality of which were thrown into sharp relief by "unchienanglais" - even if I disagreed with some of his contentions, they provoked thought and were obviously the product of original reasoning). Grungekitty never came back to defend against my broadside, either. Pity, I was looking forward to a decent spat.

Well, I'm glad the support was quelled on that thread. Though it's a pity there was no strong opposition, it looks too much like I went in too hard (alright, I did go in too hard, but it was fun) and people just rolled over without necessarily changing their mind.

I'm not going to post in there but is it so hard to try and be a little less derogatory when crushing the wrong-country-nationalism.
If you need a reason it makes the actual-scottish-like-nationalism-man a bit stronger.

Finrod, your broadsides are becoming legendary. Broadside is often used out of context to refer to a 'turn', but your broadside is a broadside proper, in the truest sense of the word.

Easy target, again - she's already reduced to ad-hominems.
