I love Japanese music, I like anything basically! It's not just music off of animes either, I know other artists that sing in Japan. Though I don't know how big they are in Japan, but I really like them.
For example, Ikuta Toma is an entertainer basically. He does a lot like singing, dancing, acting, and I think playing sports (I've seen him play soccer.) One of his biggest moments in acting is being a character in a Japanese Drama called "Hana Kimi." I have it loaded onto a CD, but I can upload it eventually. He also played in another called "Majo Saiban," or in english "The Witch Trial." It's a weird one, but I think it's quite interesting. Anyways, he does sing songs. Just look them up. Oh another fun fact about him, he played the part as Danny in the Japanese version of Grease, isn't that awesome!?!
One of Ikuta's songs are "Gomen Yo Aishuu" and another one is sang with Yamapi and it is called "Youkubou No Rain."
Another one of my favorite Japanese artist is Lia. She sings for animes. Lia sings the opening and closing on Air TV, the movie as well. She also sings on Clannad, which is by the same creators as Air. I don't know if she sings on Kanon (which is by the same creators,) but I believe she might. The songs she sings are, Tori No Uta (Song of the Bird), Aozora (Blue Skies), Farewell Song, Nostagia, and Toki Wo Kizamu Uta (Not sure what it means).
Clannad's opener and closer songs are good, too. Just look on youtube. "Meg Mell Cuckool Mix 2007" and "Dango Daikazoku." Dango Daikazoku is actually a cute song by the way. ^.^
Avril Lavigne- Girlfriend has a japanese version to it. Though only the chorus is japanese, not the whole entire song. It would be cool though.
I really like the Bleach openers and closers, I don't want to tell about them all, that's way too many. ^.^ Though my favorite is High and Mighty Color- Ichirin No Hana. They also have Bleach Beat Collections, where the actual voice actors of the characters would sing. Like Ichigo, Rukia, and basically anyone. I'll go ahead and name a few of those songs in case some people hasn't heard anything.
