I don't think that's a good idea, either. If I were you, I'd just whack the dude in the face and leave a red mark. Well, forget about the mark part because you could possibly get in trouble for that.

People...are you not understanding the implications of what her living in Egypt means????

She can't just go to the police and ask them to help her, heck, they might not even listen to her or take her seriously. Confronting the guy and telling him to stop might be risky and awkward, and there's no way that she can physically harm the guy without being arrested and punished (regardless of whether or not she was in the right.)

This is a real problem and she needs real advice, not stuff like "lol just stab teh guy." She deserves better help than that. 3nodding

Thanks a lot for the clarification. I actually stopped visiting the thread because all the answers were..uh...and I didn't want to hurt anyone by saying that the answers don't help at all.

My advice is to find people who can really understand the situation (like other people who live in Egypt), and ask them for advice.

Well since no one is really giving any advice that will actually help I think that you should just confront someone or don't travel alone.
The people who are complaining about the stupid comments don't seem to really be giving any advice either so there it is

I actually started not travelling alone, at least not for long and taking cabs most of the time. But the problem is only gone for me.
