Food for the day:

Breakfast:
Banana
Glass of milk
Chocolate dipped pretzel

Lunch:
Four chicken strips
Corn nuggets
Roll

Dinner:
Zucchini Pie
Potatoes and Carrots
Salad

Dessert:
Haystack and Oreo bomb

Today was a bit of a failure, but it's also my last day in town right now, so I had a few culinary things to take care of! Tomorrow I'll be going back up to school, where I can grocery shop and such for myself, so I'll have full control over my diet. I'm going to make a motivational list of things I can do to keep on track at school.

-Don't buy foods that are bad for me to begin with.
-Shop on a full stomach- you buy less food that way!
-Make and effort to homecook almost all my meals.
-Stop making so many dessert items for the fun of it!
-Slim fast shake and yogurt for lunch, just like high school.
-Stop making giant bowls of popcorn when I have the munchies. Eat some fruit instead.
-Speaking of, more fruit and veggies as snacks, less carbs.
-When eating out, eat half of my meal and save the other half for left overs.

I will hopefully start doing some yoga and going to gym beginning next Monday, and I think that'll make me feel a lot better too.

The real test is beginning now, and I can do it!

Food from yesterday

Breakfast:
Special K and milk
Banana

Lunch:
Slim fast shake
Yogurt

Snack:
100 calorie pack

Dinner:
Mock lasagna
Mixed vegetables

Snack:
Some air popper popcorn with a little butter and salt and pepper
Last piece of my boyfriend's homemade pie gonk

The pie was a bit of a screw up, but my boyfriend had made pie to celebrate my homecoming and we just finished it off. So there is no more pie and I will no longer be tempted! He also knows I'm on a diet, so we're both kind of working on eating healthier together.

I also went to the gym and did half and hour on the elliptical yesterday morning, hence the banana at breakfast. I felt pretty good afterward. I'm still waiting on my yoga DVD to get here, but as soon as I have it I'll start doing some yoga in the mornings as well.

Today's food:

Breakfast:
Special K and milk

Lunch:
Slim fast shake
Yogurt
Some crackers

Snack:
Two stalks of celery

Dinner:
Mock lasagna
Cucumbers in a red wine vinegar dressing.

Snack:
Apple sauce

I'll be working out tomorrow and Friday mornings!

I'm thinking grilled chicken tomorrow and I can finally try out my George Foreman Grill! So excited!

Oh, it's also worth mentioning that I've had a few small pieces of chocolate (like Hershey's kisses) each day. It's how I'm keeping my chocolate craving in check. But I'll usually just have two or three kisses throughout the day. As long as I don't eat half a bag, I think I'm okay xD

That's SO nice that your bf is willing to eat healthier with you. It's really nice when your S/O makes a change to make your life easier. Make sure you reward that boy, lol.

Good luck, you sound like you are doing pretty well!

It's gotten a lot better since classes have started and I'm getting into a routine. Before was just really difficult. This journal is helping A LOT. I'm glad I started it.

Thanks for the support, I appreciate it a lot! heart

Lunch:
Slim fast shake
Yogurt

Snack:
Some crackers
Yogurt

Dinner:
Half a buffalo chicken sandwich from Chili's
Cinnamon apples
Small milkshake

Exercise:
Half an hour on the elliptical
50 crunches

I'm gonna start tracking my exercise here too, since it keeps changing. And my workout DVDs got here yesterday too! Yoga, bellydancing, and strip tease- so excited!

I didn't get to make the chicken like I was planning, since Brad really wanted to go out for dinner. I start opera rehearsals next week and we're trying to get in as much quality time as possible. Milkshake wasn't the best idea but, I scaled the size down from my normal. All things considered, not awful.

Today:

Breakfast:
Special K and milk

Lunch:
My other half of my buffalo chicken sandwich

Snack:
100 calorie pack

Dinner:
Baked chicken with some herb and garlic seasoning and some tomoatoes and cheese
Cous cous
Mixed veggies

Snack:
Airpopper popcorn with some butter, salt, and pepper

Exercise:
Half an hour on the elliptical
50 crunches

Not bad, over all.

Haha, what strip-tease workout vid did you get? Also, if you're interested in general working out, the 30-day shred by Jillian Michaels is good. It's about 20 minutes long per day (or every other day). :]

I want to get special K, too, it's yummy and very low-cal. I <3 the strawberry kind. :3

@Stars: It's something like Urban Striptease Aerobics. I found it on Amazon and it seemed pretty widely liked, so I thought it'd be fun and I've give it a try. And I love Special K! I like the vanilla almond one. I don't really do the strawberry flavor since I can't do the texture of berries. It's sad D:

Food for the day!

Breakfast:
Slept through it

Lunch:
Three lemon poppyseed muffins
Two glasses of milk

Snack:
Applesauce

Dinner:
Baked chicken with seasoning and some tomatoes and cheese
Broccoli, cauliflower, and carrot
Cous cous

I'll probably have some sort of snack before I go to bed as well.
Edit: Snack = volcano burrito from Taco Bell.

Exercise: None

I got really exciting news yesterday that has made me even more determined to lose the extra weight! My best friend is getting married in August and asked me and my other two best friends to be her bridesmaids yesterday! I was absolutely stoked! We didn't think we'd get to be bridesmaids because she's Mormon and is getting married in the temple which we're not allowed in since we're not Mormon. Apparently the marriage ceremony itself is really simple and the bridesmaids/best men play no actual role in the real ceremony, since there's no walking down the aisle.

So I have until August to lose the extra weight and keep it off, which I think I can do! Here's the dress, which is absolutely beautiful, I'm so excited. (It's the blue one, btw.) I really want to make that dress look good, especially since the bride and the other two bridesmaids are all skinnier than me D:

So extra motivation! Hooray! I think having something other than myself to keep accountable to will help out.

Food for the day:

Breakfast:
Slept through it

Lunch:
Burger
Salad with a small portion of Italian dressing

Dinner:
Baked chicken with seasoning and some tomatoes and cheese
Broccoli, cauliflower, and carrot
Cous cous

Exercise:
None, unless climbing a million stairs counts xx

Some sort of snack will occur before bed I'm sure.

So the burger was a minor failure, but I resisted the fried side and got a side salad. It's a local burger joint, which is renown for amazing burgers so, well... you do what you can. But I suppose those calories can taken since I missed breakfast and ate a healthy dinner. Any snack for the evening will be small too, so that's good.

I'm thinking about starting my yoga DVD tomorrow, but we'll see. I don't have class, but I have rehearsal. Decisions decisions.

Doing okay so far. I tried my yoga DVD yesterday and really liked it, so me and yoga are going to get to be better friends.

I went to the doctor yesterday and got weighed. The scale said 146, but I was wearing shoes and I'm on my period, so I'm about 90% sure most of that is water weight. It was just a little disheartening since I've been working really hard and according to this scale I gained. I'm not going to let it get to me too much though, so on I press.

Speaking of the doctor, I'm a little nervous about tomorrow. I've had a swollen lymph node under my chin since early November. I went to the ER right after Thanksgiving, after I'd had it for about three weeks and they said it just felt like a swollen lymph node. They said if it got bigger or didn't go away soon though, I might get it checked out again soon. Well, it's still there so I went and got it looked at at the doctor yesterday. They did a blood test and my blood work came back normal, but just to be on the safe side, they want to get an ultrasound of the lymph node. If that comes back unusual, they'll refer me to a "specialist".

So I have my ultrasound tomorrow, and I'm really hoping everything comes back normal. I just want to know for sure that this isn't something I need to be worrying about. The good news is, I have none of the symptoms of lymphoma and the lymph node definitely feels swollen and not like there's a tumor growing on it. I know that none of that necessarily means anything, but it makes me feel a little better about the whole situation. I'm gonna see if my boyfriend wants to come with me, he sat with me in the ER and he seemed kind of concerned yesterday when I mentioned it.

Well, wish me luck and send me some prayers for good health!

Breakfast:
Frosted shredded wheat
Milk

Lunch:
Cous cous
Yogurt

Snack:
Two stalk of celery
100 calorie pack

Dinner:
Crock pot soup sans rice.

Snack
Applesauce
Something else, a 100 calorie pack I think?

Exercise:
50 crunches

I realized last night I've been lulled into a false sense of security. I had some marshmallows and crackers at Brad's last night. I need to make sure I'm conscious about what I'm eating.

I wasn't able to go to the gym this morning because I got stuck at Brad's for the night. We got hit with a massive hail storm and the roads were still covered with hail at 12:30. I ended up just staying there and drove back too late this morning to make it to the gym. I'm for sure going tomorrow though!

In other news, I got my ultrasound of my lymph node today. The ultrasound tech said it was definitely a lymph node and it just looked enlarged. They still have to send it to the doctor for measuring and such, but so far it's looking like this may be a definitive this-isn't-bad thing. Hopefully I'll find out in a few days that everything's fine though! Fingers crossed!
