As Shan stepped into the car and took a seat next to his master, he sat nervously as the chauffeur closed the door and then walked to the driver's seat of the car to start it. Looking out the window, Shan saw his parents and his older brother walking home, but not all were crying like many people would think they should be.

He couldn't help but notice satisfied smiles on the faces of his father and brother, and his heart ultimately sank. It didn't surprise him that they were wairting for this day to arrive. They had always been disapproving of his pacifist ways, saying that a man should be strong, emotionless, and able to fight a lion without sparing a look of fear. This was how his father shaped up, and how his brother shaped up, but Shan could not just resort to any violence.

The driver then started the car and drove off from the autionarea. Kanda still looked out the window and stayed quiet. He wasn't one for talking to begin with so it didn't bother him.

When they reached the house, The chauffer let them out. Kanda got out of the car and walked to the door, not paying attention at all to see if Shan was following him or not.

Shan, unsure of whether or not he should follow his master, got out of the car and trailed behind in case he was supposed to follow. He wanted to say something to break the silence that had lingered for quite a while, but he decided against it. It wasn't like there was anything interesting to say.

He had to slightly jog to keep up and not get left behind. After living in poor conditions for who knows how long, he was naturally weak and easily tired. In this case, he also turned out to be a bit slower than he had been before. For some reason, he was bothered by this realization.

"Tch." Kanda said as he watched Shan's movements for a moment and noted that the boy was weak to the bone. When his new slave reached him, he turned the opened the doors as he quickly walked in. ""This is the home." He said factually; whether Shan called it his home or not, it didn't matter for he would be living here from now on.

For a moment, Shan stood amazed at the decor of the house. It wasn't anything he's seen before nor anything he's even dreamed of. Did all rich people live in this kind of luxury? If that was so, then how many slaves did it take to maintain it? Probably a lot, according to the appearance of the place.

He soon snapped out of his moment of stupor. He felt that he shouldn't be admiring anything. Now that he was demoted to the slave class, he probably wasn't worthy of seeing such sights.

"Come." Kanda said as he started to walk again. He went into different rooms of the house and showed the new slave around and told him his chores and where he would be sleeping, a single size bed room on the second floor.

"That will be your room for now on. You are to use it and not change it with the others. Failure to do so will result in a punishment." He stated then looked at Shan with his scowling face. "Do I make myself clear." He said, not as a question but as a demand; tellign the boy he has no other chice in the matter.

Shan made sure to pay close attention to his master's words and instructions. A single mistake could result in a displeasing punishment. He nodded as his owner demanded a confirmation of Shan's understanding. Yes, he remembered every word his master told him. He remembered every detail of each room and every rule there was.

There was, however, a bit of a question in Shan's mind about what his master said, but he didn't dare ask about it. He might get angry, after all, if Shan spoke without being asked or demanded to speak. Maybe it was best that he stayed silent and waited for him to ask if he had any questions. That might be the best choice that can avoid a possibly terrible punishment.

"That it for the tour." Kanda said as they returned back to the room they were in before. He looked at his watch and noted that the time was 7:19PM. He would be eating soon and the boy needed a bath. He did not want the smell of that aunction to linger in this house.

He looked at Shan as he stared at the boy with neutral cold eyes, "Any questions?" He asked, thinking the boy had some and could deal with tha. Unless they were obvious questions then he might get mad,

Shan averted his gaze, not wanting to see his master's face. "I-it seems a bit quiet in here. Why is that?" he asked, wondering if there was a specific schedule. "Is this a leisure time for slaves or something?" He felt very nervous as he asked this question, since it may be an obvious one.

Suddenly, a tiny mouse scrambled down the hall, seemingly unnoticed by everyone except for Shan. It stopped right near him, and stared up at him with curious eyes.

"at the moment, most of the lsaves in the house is with my father on a business trip he is on. The others are cooking dinner while a few are cleaning somewhere." He stated as he looked at the mouse and glared at it.

"boy." He said as he continued to look at the mouse. "I want you to take a bath and wear the clothes that wil be laid on yourbed in your room but." He said as he pointed at the mouse. "Get rid of this vermin first."

"Y-yessir," Shan said, soon picking up the mouse and entering his room. He closed the door once he entered and left the mouse on the bed where it stayed. He searched around the room for a box of some sort and transferred the mouse to it once he found a reasonably-sized box.

After leaving a small cup of water and some bread crumbs that got stuck to his shirt in the box, Shan took the clothes from the bed and headed to the bathroom to take a bath like his master ordered him to. It was reasonable why he wouldn't want the smell of the auction house lingering around. After all, the auction house did stink.

Kanda watchd as Shan left then turned and headed to the dining table. He sat down and put his hand under his chin as he waited for his food to be sered. The slaves that were in the kitchen then brought hi soba noodles and they laid it out. They then left and he nodded as he then started eat in silence.
