I did my 5x for the day but I'm having problems with the scanner. Should be able to scan first thing after school tomorrow. Also for the drawing I was wondering if you could do a draw over on a piece and I could try fixing it then coloring.I was wanting to see how the anatomy should look. The drawing

edit: 5x 60s

Redlines!
I hope this helps. The main problem was the hips, which were too thin, so make sure you remember that the hips are approximately as wide as the shoulders on the average female. Apart from that, good work.
Also well done with the 60 second drawing.

Thank you for the redlines. It helped a lot! Should I try to fix the piece now, or would it be better for me to start a new one?

Edit: Here's today's work. I've started sketching a vampire/bat/succubus thing. Scanned, haven't worked with it digitally yet. [X] I'm starting on the 5x's in a sec.. going to take shower first. Idk if I'll be able to scan though, scanner is in sisters room.

@iKusk
You don't need to scan the 60sec drawings every day, it's more something so you can practice.
It's up to you if you want to redraw or not, but I must say your vampire is much better. Just a few things you could think about. Firstly, the forearms seem to bend outwards as if they are made of jelly, it's okay if they bend at the elbows, but not anywhere else. Apart from that it's fairly good.
If you would like help with some techniques for coloring I can do a little tutorial thing, or find other tutorials for you.

@Ultamew
That's a very cute Kangaroo! biggrin
With the pose drawings, don't worry to much about getting it right, just try to get the whole body on the page. Like, get the torso in, then the head, and the limbs as quickly as you can without trying to fiddle to much.

I fail at coloring.
I has gimp, its free~
PostPosted: Sat Dec 05, 2009 6:54 pm
I use Gimp personally, it does everything I need and it doesn't burn my eyes. : P
It does get annoying if I'm trying to resize (but that's more because I don't quite get how that type of thing works)
I've used photoshop elements 6, but none of the other programs. Really many techniques work with various programs.

Do either of you have tablets?

Hi guys, sorry about being away for so long. My internet died on me D:
Fail.
Anyway.
Here is a challenge for you

Quote:
Do a self portrait using more than 5 different colour swatches for the skin.
This tutorial should be very helpful as I have done it and it's a great resource.
There are also some useful links to skin tones there for you.

I hope this helps. smile

Keep drawing!
