Someone who doesn't criticize another person's deck mid-game. Especially when they aren't playing in said game. We have a kid that does that and it kind of bothers me.
Also, someone who won't participate in an unfair trade, even when they're getting the good end of the deal.

Anyone who can build their own deck and use it to their fullest potential is a good duelist in my eyes. If you copy a deck, you're not a good duelist. If you can't play your own deck correctly, you're not a good duelist.
I view deck building as an art form. Akin to flower arrangement or, for a more masculine yet nerdy analogy, constructing a lightsaber. Anyone can do it if they know the rules, but it takes a good duelist to build a deck well.
Also, a good duelist respects their opponent as they would have their opponent respect them. Accusations that unjustly slander the opponent's honor is seldom forgivable. Do not accuse a duelist of illegal moves unless you have solid evidence to back it up. If you fail to adhere to this respect amongst duelists, you're not a good duelist no matter how many games you win.

The ability and the skill to make an excellent deck and use it efficiently against another player's deck. Also the ability to accept correct criticism in a positive way and to keep an open mind to consistently learn makes a great duelist.

I just want to point out that deck building doesn't actually have anything to do with being a good duellist, it justs makes you a good deck mechanic. You could be a good duellist using a deck someone else made for you and by that I'm assuming you practice with it before duelling seriously. Also winning needs a proviso of winning without cheating.
