Coffee

I usually use a french press with freshly ground french roast, or Sumatran. I'll occasionally use an Italian esspresso maker because I'm too cheap to buy a decent esspresso maker.

The starbucks around here aren't too bad, and actually better than many of the locally owned coffee shops in my area, though the locally owned places seem to concentrate too much on atmosphere and not nearly enough on coffee.

Books-A-Million was better when it was Chaucer's Cup...I think they used different beans or something. I usually get my stuff from a place in Chattanooga of all places, great stuff, and the prices aren't too bad. I'll see if I can find there web address amongst all my papers...

Starbucks doesn't bother me much, then again, when you can drink sheetz coffee on a regular basis, you can pretty much drink any kind of coffee.

Sheetz coffee is absolutely terrible, but relatively dirt cheap, so, for poor college students/law school hopefuls, it's the way to go. Plus, if you put some kind of flavor shot in it, it makes it about a thousand times better.

As far as folgers and maxwell house go, I only drink that when I'm at my parents house, as that's all they buy.

I'm a chicory drinker, and I take it au lait. None of that powder "creamer" s**t, though. What the ******** is it, anyway? Anyway, I think the bitterness of chicory makes is much less pussified to drink it with milk, no to mention the fact that it's traditionally cool in the deep south, since we tend to make the coffee strong to begin with (CC for the win).

I can pull a decent latte, but I really can't afford big chain coffee often enough to pass judgment. My little college town corner place (Something Brewing) has a pretty impressive lineup, though, especially the Sumatra.

Isn't it weird how something like coffee becomes so personal? I mean, I don't really feel like I know someone until I know how they take their coffee.

Non-dairy creamers are dried, powdered corn syrup. Ew. I'm not sure about the dairy ones, haven't seen them in forever.

I put a pinch of milk, just enough to take that edge off of the coffee and give it a somewhat smoother mouth-feel.

I rarely go to Starbucks and I only ever get a mocha frappachino cuz it's the only one with flavor. Other than that it's whatever's in the cabinet with coffee mate creamer 3nodding drink that with my mom's popcorn and a movie and it's all good.

I haven't thought of having coffee with my popcorn. I do like a giant glass of milk with it though.
