DR490N eek what...the.....hell? grunge will never return, i'm afraid. that short lived movement, though it produced some damn good bands, is gone for good. Don't say such things! There is a way to bring Kurt back, there just has to be. Why Kurt? Whyyyy? Ahem, Austins closet is full of flanels, he only wears one regularly, but still, Austin's ready for grunge and Kurt to come back.

I hope grunge is dead, personally... It was just a big excuse for people to wander around looking BAD....
xd J/k. Love ya really guys.
I'm just the opposite end of the spectrum. Grace, elegance, dignity... doing my research, I think I'm more gothic than goth, persay... I shine my nails with silk and wear fingerless black lace gloves, long skirts, corsets, and my hair down to the small of my back. I like classical music more than a LOT of metal (today it seems you can get your 5 year old cousin to thrash at a guitar, and sell it under "heavy metal".
My friends tell me I'm Drusilla (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) meets Christine (from Phantom of the Opera).
Methinks I just like to look pretty whee

Mew Kisshus Tears spooky_sez A Goth is... someone who finds the beauty in the morbid and the strange.
I totally hate those morons who think it's all 'depression and blood and pink is evil and sunlight sucks' Bah, to hell with that!
I fit into the loud, morbid, friendly, perky Goth style. I call it 'Fuzzy Goth'. xd I compleatly agree. Any type of steriotypes are evil. I would fit in...well i don't know. I really can't answer questions about myself, i need others to for me or i feel like i'm cheaking in some way or not being compleatly honest. Overall, I agree with you both. Most people, in their usual stereotypical manner, say goth is nothing but depression, the hatred of most colors, and the love of darkness and blood. This, in some points, is true of some gothics, but not most. This assumption is more about vampires than anything else, especially goths. As for what Mew said, many people would assume, if you judged yourself as to what type of person you are, that you were either lying, being too self-concious, or were overexagerating. In this, it would be safe to say that it would be better not to judge yourself, but to have friends, especially those you know would not lie to you, judge what kind of person you are.

hm...where do i fit? i am not exactly anything really. i dont dress in all balck, though i do have a lot of black t-shirts. which are mainly band shirts. i listen from HIM-Mudvayne-Nirvana-Catch 22-Linkin Park-POD-AC/DC-etc... i am basically all over the bored when it comes to music. though its all basically under rock. i wear JNCO pants, which...sadly to say may be no longer found in department stores. i like to wear skate shoes as well. i have glasses, since like...kindergarten. i am a cynic, hopeless romantic, and a thinker. so i dont know. i kinda fit...in a lot of places. i joined up here cause the people are cool, non-discrimitory, and intelligent. so yeh..... throw me wherever you think i fit cause if i can find some cool people. i will be there.

I really believe goth is sort of a style of art in a way. Some of the girls look for beauty, and others look to be different. Goth is so many things really, most people have a different view of it.
I wear mostly black, and I wear skirts with stockings + Dress Shirts and ties. I believe I'm sort of an elegant goth, sort of like lolita I guess. When people walk up me and say, "OHMAHGAWSH! Are you goth?" I reply, "If you say so."

The day-in-age Goth I would classify people who see life for what it is and can transform the ugliness they see into something beautiful, be it weird or not. I don't classify myself as goth, for I don't really hang out with anyone or speak much for the matter. I'm more a lone, and morbid. But if I was to consider the groups of goth... I wouldn't know where to place myself.

I kinda think I'm between emo goth and jus plain gothic. I don't like pink, but it can look cool if you know how to wear it; but I'm kinda jus in this one lil' group with my goth BF, a stoner/drinker/skateboarder dude, another total rocker/punk/skateboarder, a "over-sexed" pervered punk, and a "Aggie-redneck" trucker kinda guy. I know, sounds kinda weird but other than the thought of 3 gothic/punk guys, one emo/goth gurl, and a redneck truck lover; the odds aren't as bad as they seem..... sweatdrop (even though we're the OnLy gothic group in the entire high school!!!!! o0!? )

I don't really fit into any goth stereotype for the fact that I don't dress "goth". Sometimes I'll dress "gothic", but that's mostly when I'm going to a party or out on a date. The only way that someone could put me into a catagory is though the music that I listen to, but every once in a while, I change that too. Right now I'm in a visual kei and opera rock phase, but I also sometimes listen to metal and classic rock.
And in spite of my tases in music and the people that I hang out with, almost anyone who sees me for the first time thinks that I'm "preppy".
So, in case you can't tell, I get off on confusing people and I'm really good at it too.

dark and depressed (me)
or the germanic goth wannabe's or the germanic goths (me)
however goths tend to hav a style and other relations... but seeing as that is a wide range that merges itno other subcultures goth really is nothing but dark and depressed

I'm not really gothic in my appearance. I don't give a rat's a** what I wear. Anything that comes my way I put on. I don't express myself through clothing. I'm very into gothic romanticism, art/pattern design, and music.

What kind would I be? I dunno.. if I had to generalize myself I'd say I'm an intellectual/artistic/weekend dresser. It all ties in a lot with an article someone has written about goth that I have linked over this guild a few times. 3nodding

Spoonfeeding plane? stare
Okay anyway.
I don't fit into the gothic scene anywhere on the outside at least. I'd probably get weird looks from goths. See I have dark interests and a darker way of looking at things. So you'd need to know me to see my inner-goth. I would love to dress in black and stuff but I don't. Also, I'm happy a lot and outgoing. So...
LABEL ME!
