	They want to push the genre to the limit. And by spelling it syfy they can own it completely. Can't do that with "sci-fi" because it is a genre. It's wierd and I like the old way better, but it'll still be the good ol stuff that makes people love it, so I can live with it.

	There might also be some copyright issues involved. Perhaps they thought people wouldn't be able to distinguish the channel from the genre. And since no one can own the science fiction genre, well... See my point?

(Even worse than . xD) For one, if it really is their way of branching out from the scifi genre, you'd think they would have at least picked a name with a different pronunciation. sweatdrop But seriously, Syfy?! gonk

	You know what screwed up Sci-Fi Channel? Wrestling! THAT was when their programming went downhill. And that "Ghost-Hunters" show! WTF!!! There's thirty minutes of my life I want back. Half an hour of airtime just to say, "Uh, yeah, we got nothing." And what's up with running Dr. Who at five in the friggin' morning! I don't have Tivo, I have to wake up to watch it! Plus, they never run the original Star Trek!
