"Unknown Contacts dead ahead! All hands, red alert!"
"Aw crap!" Jack swore, grabbing his trousers and sprinting out of the door of his cabin, heading towards the bridge. "Tactical, this is Reaper, report!"
"Commander! 2 Enemy ships, unknown type veering away... we think they're trying to escape. One other ship dead ahead, single type... Commands sir?" Jack's ear buzzed as the Tactical officer replied, now awaiting his orders.
"Keep an eye on the ships, stay in red alert.. dispatch a Recovery crew and 2 fighters, I'm going with them."
"Sir" Jack cut back on himself, tapping a few commands into his wrist computer, before the nanites started to assemble his armour. A black leather chest piece, black, loose fitting trousers, fingerless gloves and a black cape.
He rushed into the docking bay, up on-top of the recovery craft, and tapped the pilots glass. "Move it!"
The pilot nodded, starting the engines and flying out of the hanger shield, followed closely by it's fighter escort, arcing towards the lone craft.

Delia wanted to smack the small radar on the ship. It wasn't picking anything up, instead dots were scattered around the screen where there wasn't anything.

"Damn thing's broken. No wonder they don't really care about this ship."

She glanced at the new ships oming towards her, they were coming fast. Delia figured if she tried to escape, she'd die, and if she tried to reason with them, she'd die. Her mind was working quickly to decide which death would be less painful. They were sure to kill her slowly if they saw her, a neo-human. If they never say her and just destroyed the ship, that would be quicker.

"Come on, you can do this for me, right?" She smiled wanly at the controls of the ship. Her hands gripped tighter and twisted the controls to do a u-turn. Delia heard a sharp squeel and then the noise of gears and things grinding and stopping. The ship went full circle, the right thruster had failed. "You piece of junk!" She yelled as she lowered the other thruster to stop her spinning.

It was going to be a slow death for her.

Reaper smirked, seeing the small ship spin as the engine cut out. He pushed off, aiming for the cockpit, and he could see there someone sitting inside, a female by the look of it. He back-flipped, his feet hitting the nose of the ship, and he looked in.
His hood also shot back slightly, revealing two things...
One, that his eyes were pitch black, his pupils white.
And two, he wasn't wearing a helmet. He crouched low, grabbing onto a hand hold, and pulled free a card from his belt, pressing against the glass. It read..

SHADOW CORP ID
REAPER
HUMAN
UNION CODE:442528-R1

Along with a picture of him, minus the crescent moon scar along the right of his face.

Delia had puled her hair free of it's ponytail and let it swing down to cover most of her face. She refused to look up and face the man, or whatever it was. She was tempted to scream when she saw him jump onto her ship, of course, that wouldn't sound very brave. He didn't wear a helmet, and the card he held to her ship, she was shocked to see Shadow Corp on it. Maybe her death wouldn't come so soon anyways.

She did the only thing she could think of, she raised her hands. Surrendered.

Reaper's face stayed blank, as he signalled the ship over to tow them back to the Excalibur.
"Sir, Security team 4 is on station! Tactical out." Reaper smiled. Nothing the girl could do now.
As the ships landed in the hanger, Reaper jumped off, standing next to the craft. "Out. NOW!" He wasn't in a playing mood, too many things had happened to piss him off, so this girl had better do as she's told.

Delia quickly took in a deep breath before opening up the hatch of the ship. If you could call it that, it wasn't worthy of being a shopping cart. She made sure her hair covered her face and stepped down, she was pleased to find that her legs didn't wobble when she stepped onto more solid ground.

She kept her head down, and didn't speak. This was one conversation that she had no idea how to start.

Reaper kept her eyes on the girl, the white pupils scanning everything about. "Talk. What's your name, who do you work for, what are you doing out here and what is with the two ships running away?" He glanced to the side as Louise came in, wearing a dark red leather suit, before he turned back. "And don't lie..." He leaned closer, putting himself eye to eye with the girl. "My Shadow Gaze can tell."

Delia listened to him silently, steeling herself. When he was finished she lifted her head, looking up to the tall man in front of her. Her hair fell back from her face.

"I'm Delia Rocca, and I should assume that it's hardly a surprise that Im unemployed." The half of her lip covered in the black scales twitched up in a crooked smile. "Those two ships," I have no idea about them, they just happened to follow me out here, I'm perfectly innocent. "I stole that," she jerked her head back at the ship, "from them. I assume they wanted it back."

"As for what I was doing out there, I was trying to fly a piece a junk wasn't I?" She was doing it again, being an idiot. She was going to get herself killed. "If you want to know what I was trying to do, I was trying to find you. The Shadow Corp."

Reaper frowned. "Delia Rocca...." He stayed quiet for a minute, looking at the ship, before tapping his ear. "Melanie... get us back on course." He turned towards Delia again, his face still blank. "You can call me Reaper. Get this girl something to eat, and somewhere to sleep!" He turned on his heels. "You and you." He pointed to two guards. "Stay with her at all times."
He stopped and glanced back. "Also, we need to have a talk... I told you not to lie."

Somwhere to sleep. Delia wasn't sure if she had heard him right. So they weren't going to kill her after all, yet anyways. He didn't seem to take any special notice of her abnormalities, but then again, he wasn't the most normal human she had ever seen. Delia knew that she had a chance here, the Shadow Corp was the only place neo's could go without being persecuted or used. Her chance was slim, but better than back on earth.

She stared after him when he told her that he thought she was lying. She really looked at him for the first time, focusing on seeing not just him. It took a moment to see with her left eye, and it slipped in and out of focus but she saw the thin wisps of mana around him. It was always the same, mana. White wisps of something a bit more substantial than smoke, it hung around him in shrouds like it did every magic user, trailing after him as he moved. But this was different, Delia closed her right eye so she was seeing only with her black, pupiless eye. Everything else disappeared but for the mana, and it was like he was made of the stuff.

Everybody else in the room appeared as wispy outlines from the mana surrounding them, but he was a solid being of it. She couldn't help but take a step back as she opened her other eye and choke out a question.

"What are you?"

Reaper turned all the way around. "I told you... I'm Reaper. The human who killed the Puppeteer... the human, who beat the Grand Dragon... the human, who can crush a world, with a flick of his hand." He walked slowly towards Delia, face completely obscured by his hood. "I... was one of the first 'Neo Humans', if you want to get technical." He crossed his arms, Louis sliding up next to him. "If you want to know what I really am...." Louise glanced at Reaper, knowing what he was about to say. "I'm dead."

"You're the one? You did that?"

Delia all of a sudden felt very inadequate. She knew that the strength she had gained since becoming a neo-human would be no match against him, so running for any reason was out of the question. She looked away from him, bringing a hand up to rub against her temple. Her left eye was trying to focus on the mana while her right tried to focus on him. Her vision wouldn't stop flickering between the two scenes.

"I, I know I don't seem like much, but please, if you'd just give me a chance. The Shadow Corp is the only place where I can actually do something with my life. I just need a chance."

Reaper smirked. "You'll have to earn the honor of even being considered first. We're the best of the best. And we only take the best, of the best, no exceptions."
He turned on heels and walked away, tapping his ear and talking to someone on the bridge.
"Don't mind him..." Louise smiled softly. "He's pretty stressed right now. Things haven't been going well..." She shrugged, holding her hand out. "Delia, was it? I'm Louise."
