Unfortunately, when Konami announced its takeover of UDE in North America, all official and sanctioned tournaments were cancelled. Nationals didn't take place, all Regionals were halted, as well as Shonen Jumps.
At the very least, Magic: the Gathering extended its courteousy to Yu-Gi-Oh! players by inviting them to freely attend their Nationals. And I would hope that players in Europe obtain the same bit of compensation.
In news of America, Shonen Jump has been announced to be once again established. If you want an idea of what it would be like for Konami to be in charge, I can only imagine that it would be similar if not the same to
this.
