Lord Jagged In my opinion, I think that most Americans are fine. It s just when there are large numbers that it all seems to go down hill. No offence to Americans is meant what so ever. Surely the statement that "most Americans" are fine would make it absolutely necessary for there to be "large numbers" of them?

Well, of course, most Americans holiday in their own country. They don't often choose to leave, because of this idea that there can be no country better.
In schools also, there is an entire subject called 'American History'. Which only accounts for about three hundred years, which isn't much of a history.

That'll irritate me more than anything. Most Americans Holiday in their own country because they can't afford to go anywhere else.
And as for the history, everyone starts somewhere. Should we remain in ignorance of our country simply because it's "only three hundred years of history"? I think not.

I think not. There's actually a lot to cover in 300 years -- there's a reason why historian specialist in certain periods. I think it's important that people have the opportunity to learn about their own country if they choose to, and it is very pertenant to why America is the way it is today. To be honest, I'm not all that impressed with history in Britain. I know we have a lot of ground to cover in British history, but it would be nice if we were given the option to study history from outside of Britain and Europe. At least in America they also often have a "World History" course as well.

I haven't noticed that actually.
I suppose those type of people, being ignorant and so stupid, would be using multitudes of text speak? I tend to ignore what those people say unless it is necessary.
There are stupid, ignorant people everywhere, as has been said.

I've spoken to some very polite and sensible Americans. Well...
I can't abide year nine history. It's all world wars, and badly taught.I learnt practically nothing from that year. Stupid French woman.

Oh yeah- I've sure noticed. it's to do with the American dream if you ask me. Rather like; 'my ansestors make themselves what they were with undying effort. Why can't the rest of the world do it to!'

Why can't the rest of the world do it to!' They made themselves who they were by terrorism and (constitutionally at least) by copying the writing of John Locke (English) with the armed support of the dictatorship empire that was the French against a democratic, freedom-loving and anti-slavery British government. Just consider this my own brand of counter-spin..
