Well, basically, if it wasn't painfully obvious, in small doses, caffeine isn't addictive. However, like anything, it becomes addictive if you have too much, over a period of time.

I'm not personally addicted to caffeine... However, I AM addicted to sugar... like seriously. If there is an opportunity for sugar, I ingest it. I turn a blind eye to money if sugar's involved. I will beg for sugar. I also get withdrawal symptoms without it.

Personally, I think sugar's the hardest thing to stop being addicted to (in our society.) There are smoking prevention centers, Alcoholics anonymous, rehab, etc. While you can't go shopping and not get at least 8 things with sugar in them. *sigh* I might be exaggerating there, but yeah... I guess my final argument is sugar is more addictive than caffeine.

Yeah, from the sound of the thread title, I thought we were in for a different sort of debate. But here are my thoughts on caffeine.

Caffeine is a necessary evil and often a guilty pleasure in my life, but I am by no means an addict.

Watch out, it can give you mania if you're prone to that sort of thing, and if you drink it enough can start royally messing up your stomach.

I like Jolt. I can't really have it anymore though. I haven't triued any other energy drinks and frankly, I'm afraid to... especially the ones with taurine in them.

She's right! It worked for me. Made for many an invigorating shower. It didn't *seem* have the potency of say, a cup of coffee or piece of chocolate.

What did it do for your skin? I've been wanting to get some for a little while, but I'm cautious since my body is rather break out prone in many places.

It was ok on my skin, but I didn't use it for my face (which is most definitely sensitive). I didn't get any rashes or anything, and I get rashes from things like Dove and Ivory. I think it used vegetable glycerine, and my skin prefers soaps like that. It had a minty scent I think, and that didn't bother me either. If you're worried I'm sure someone at thinkgeek would be able to tell you the ingredients... I felt clean and refreshed after using it, I think the peppermint and caffeine combination certainly felt good from a psychological standpoint. I liked it.
