(That's ok.)

Hermione and Sophie continued to talk until it was time for bed. The next day Sophie followed Hermione as she was shown her classes. She thought the day went pretty well. So far, she loved her classes and had a great time with Ron, Harry and Hermione. That is until she got to potions with the Slytherins. Then everything went down hill from there. One look at Draco, and she immediately felt sick to her stomach. "Just ignore him." Hermione whispered.

"Not that hard to do." Sophie whispered back as they went to their seats. The air in the room suddenly went cold as Professor Snape walked in the room. He gave them instructions and told them it was to see if they remembered everything from the year before. On the board were instructions to make a potion. As Sophie read the ingredients, something to her wasn't right. "Something's not right." She whispered to Hermione so the other students wouldn't hear.

"I know what you mean." Hermione whispered back. "I saw it too." Both of them had realized that there was an ingredient missing in the recipe and both knew what it was. The two girls worked on the potion and Sophie tried not to think of Draco though he was practically a few seats from them.

((I feel so bad about not being so responsive in this roleplay... All my roleplays have been suffering because of me lately... -.- This is one of the few, long post roleplays I'm in right now.))

Draco had gone to bed much earlier then was needed, but he had to find some way to get that ignorant girl he had met earlier that day. He found ehr name popping up in almost every thought. He was sure, by the time he had slipped into bed, that she had cast some sort of spell on him. Draco promised himself that he would get her back the next day for what she had done.

The next morning, he got up as usual. He was showered, dressed and leaving the common room when her face popped into his mind for the first time that day. Draco growled and stormed off to the great hall for breakfast.

Later in that same day, he arrived at Potions class. Being the star pupil, for good reason, he immediatly noticed the error in the potion listing. He chuckled lightly to himself as he did his work. Unfortunately, He'd been stuck with Pansy as his partner, and she couldn't keep her hands off of him. It really was annoying...

Class continued as it normally would, a few gryffindors had house points deducted for talking in class, while slytherins had nice loud conversations with each other. Even though it was a normal class on a normal day, he couldn't get that ridiculus girl out of his head. Twice he almost added too much or too little of an ingredient or two. Pansy didn't like the fact that his emerald eyes kept straying to the gryffindor a few seats away. She wasn't the only one that noticed either.

(Hope that post is alright... I didn't know where you were going with the potion mess up thing, so hopefully I didn't ruin your plan...)

(No it's fine. I didn't really have a big plan I guess. If I did, I can't remember. Oh well. I can still work with it and yes I love your long post. I was very happy that I saw that you posted.)

A few times, Sophie felt a pair of eyes on her but she couldn't really tell where it was coming from. Every time she tried to see who was looking at her, she would look around but see no one looking at her. Though once or twice she would see Pansy Parkinson glaring at her. A giant explosion made her jump. Seamus Finnigan had exploded the contents in his cauldron. The room filled with laughter. It took Snape several pain staking moments to silence everyone. "Time is up. Pour some of your potion into a vile and bring it to the front. And do not add any more ingredients." Although he was talking to the whole class he was directing it toward Harry. Only Hermione and Ron truly understood why it was directed at Harry; even if he didn't do anything.

The girls walked out of the classroom but they didn't get very far. It was the last class and all the two of them wanted to do was go outside and get some sun. Classroom in the dungeons made them feel cold. But, that would have to wait since someone pulled Sophie's hair. "Ow!" She practically screamed and turned around. Sophie and Pansy glared at each other. Both of them had their hands on the wands and were ready for anything. "What is your problem? What did I ever do to you?"

"You came here!" Pansy said through her teeth. "And I plan on getting you kicked out so I never have to see your ugly, smelly face." Sophie raised her eyebrows.

"Ugly? Smelly? Pa-lease. Have you looked in a mirror lately or noticed people holding their noses around you? Face it, honey. You smell worse and look worse than a pig." Sophie turned around to head outside finally but her hair was yanked again.

"I'm not done with you, mud-blood." That was it. Sophie pulled her arm back, fist clenched and punched her in the face. Pansy fell backwards and cupped her face. Blood poured from her mouth and nose.

"First off, I'm a pureblood. Second, keep your distance or next time I'll break your nose past the point from it ever being healed." She turned her heals and stormed outside with Harry, Ron and Hermione on her tail.

"That was brilliant." Ron said. "I'm surprised when you didn't use your wand. You both were holding on to them."

"Eh," Sophie shrugged. "In Chicago we only use our wands if they're necessary. If we can use physical force then we use it. And trust me, I was aching to punch somebody." She laughed.

It was around the middle of the class when just about every jumped from Seamus's little accident. All the slytherin's were doubled over laughing, and that included Draco. When class was finished, He and his partner, Pansy, had completed their potion to near perfection. She held the vial while he pour some of the potion into it.

Afterwards, while Draco was packing up his things, Pansy went to go put the potion on the desk, dropping the vial after tripping on somebodies robes. It was the professor that cleaned up the mess as Draco pour another vial. Seconds later the cauldron was emptied with a spell. "You on you two, get out" Severus Snape said, taking the class project from his star student.

The pair left the class room, Pansy going on ahead as Draco hung back, walking much slower. By the time he had caught up, it was in time to see that new girl Sophie punch the slytherin Prat in the face.

What was it with that girl. First she talked back to him, and now she was going around punching Slytherins. It was amusing though, the way Pansy was rolling on the floor, holding her face, crying. Draco was the only one from the 'Dark' house, that was chuckling, unlike the gryffindors who were laughing up a storm. "What's the meaning of this?" Came a cold voice from the Potions class doorway. Sophie had already left by this point, leaving Draco to deal with a very upset Professor and Pansy.

((Wasn't sure what else to do...))

As the four of them tried to bask in the sunlight, a Ravenclaw girl came up to Sophie a little nervously. "Can I take some photos of you? It's for the school paper." Sophie smiled and posed for some pictures before the girl thanked her and walked off. Hayden would be on the front paper cover the next day.

Hermione, Ron, Harry and Sophie looked up just in time to see Pansy being escorted to the infirmary by a few other Slytherin girls. Professor Snape walked behind them but suddenly turned and walked up to Sophie. "Miss Granger, I was informed about the incident between you and Miss Parkinson." Hermione didn't know what to say. She wasn't sure if she was able to say Sophie did it. Thankfully, Sophie was proud of what she had done.

"Actually, sir, I was the one who punched Pansy in the face." Sophie tried to hide her smile. Snape still did not look pleased.

"Follow me." He said before turning on his heels. Sophie grabbed her things and followed Snape up a few stairs, down a few corridors and through a hidden passage. On the way, several students couldn't help but watch and whisper to each other. News in a witchcraft school always traveled fast. As the walked into the room, a cat sat on the desk and stared at them as they both walked in. "Professor McGonagal has been informed on the incident and, since she is head of your house, I will not have the pleasure of deciding your fate." Professor Snape glided out of the room and Sophie sat down in the chair as she looked at the cat.

"So," Sophie began to say to the cat. "What's the verdict, Professor?" The cat blinked at her for a few minutes as if she didn't know what Sophie was talking about. Sophie folded her arms and waited. Finally, the cat jumped off the desk and transformed into Professor McGonagal. "Funny the things you learn when you have a genius for a roommate." The professor ignored her and continued.

"Miss Taylor, as proud as I am to hear about your incident with Miss Parkison," Sophie groaned.

"Will you people stop calling it an 'incident?' I punched in her in the face. I'm not ashamed of it." The professor ignored her comment and continued.

"I am still required to give you detention. But since you are a transfer student and it is the first day of class, I will let this pass. This one time only. The next time I will give you detention faster than you can say 'magic.' Do you understand?" Sophie nodded and she was allowed to leave just in time for dinner. The smile on her face grew as replayed her punching Pansy in the face over and over again.

((I'm sorry, but for the next little while my posts are gonna be a bit smaller... I keep getting these migraines that make it very hard to concentrate... And Long posts are being difficult for me. Hopefully this thing will pass and I'll be able to post large again soon))

Sophie's actions were all the talk in the great hall during supper. The Slytherins wer insulting her left and right, and the gryffindors were bragging to eachother about how proud they were and how they wished that they could have done that...

Draco sat in his seat, looking down at his plate but not really seeing it, nor was he eatting. His minions, since they weren't truly his friends, were trying to add him to the conversations, but he would have no part in it. His brain was stuck on that idiotic new girl. What kind of trouble had she gotten into? Why had she even punched Pansy in the first place?

He pulled a piece of parchment out of his book bag, along with a quill and a bottle of dark green ink. Very quickly, so that no one else could read, he wrote a message for Sophie. He would owl it later that night when he was alone, be he had wanted to write this down before it escaped his mind.

(aww I'm sorry. I totally understand migraines. Your post is fine. Thanks for typing as much as you could. I hope you get better soon.)

Sophie hurried onto dinner to meet the rest of the gang. As she walked in, she was tickled to find the Gryffindors standing up and applauding her. At least she knew that she was welcome. She gazed over the Slytherin table who was giving her dirty looks. Pansy sat a few people down from Draco, a fresh white bandage on her nose. Sophie waved a little at Pansy in a mocking manner and sat with her friends where they continued to congratulate her.

That night as she headed to her room, she felt lighter than air. Everyone in the Gryffindor house loved her for punching a Slytherin. No doubt the incident would continue through other Gryffindor's and maybe even some Slytherins for revenge. But upon walking in her room, a note with perfect penmanship rested on her bed. A black owl sat at the windowsill, waiting for a reply. "I know that owl." Hermione said as she walked in herself. "That's Draco's owl. But why is he sending you a letter?" Sophie shrugged and opened it in order to find out.

"He wants to know why I punched his girlfriend." Sophie laughed and continued to read on. Although the letter was amusing to read, saying Pansy as Draco's girlfriend didn't fit with her. She didn't like it. In fact, she probably would have punched Pansy again if she bragged about being his girlfriend. Sophie took out a piece of parchment and began her reply in crimson ink.

Draco,

I find it very interesting that you want to know what happened to me. Could a Mafloy actually be jealous of a Gryffindor? My, my, now isn't that something the 'press' will just eat up. Do your friends know about this letter? Of course they wouldn't. After all, no Slytherin wants to be seen sending a letter to a Gryffindor...insulting or not. People might get the wrong message.

Anyway, nothing happened to. Snape took me to McGonagal who let me off with a warning. Well, with it being my first day in a new school and all it made sense. Of course, she told me that if it happened again I would really get detention. So do me a favor, and keep your pug-faced girlfriend away from me before I kill her. And that's a promise.

As for the reasons why...Why do you care so much? Jealous that I might have beaten you to it? Punching your enemy in the face? A Gryffinor I mean, not Pansy. As far as I can tell, everyone wanted to do it but no one had the guts to. Shame. I see a lot of great potential fighters in this school. Who knows? Maybe I'll rub off on some Gryffindors and give the beating you Slytherins actually deserve. After all, I only punched one.

Sophie

She figured if she used a little sarcasm along with a little torment the letter would sound more real. More like a true Gryffindor. Back home she actually had good relationships with other Slytherins. Some of them she even dated. But as far as she knew, Gryffindors and Slytherins had true hatred for each other. As far as they knew, so did she. Sophie gave the letter to the black owl, who almost bite her, and tossed the giant bird out the window. She would have been glad to see the bird killed by something. Hopefully, even, the Whomping Willow.

Draco waited in his room, yes, his room. Being a head boy gave him certain advantages... He had sent the owl out after supper and was know waiting for some reponse. Eventually he heard a tapping at his window and went to open it for his owl. Very quickly, Draco snatched the letter from the bird and opened it. He wasn't usually this excited to get a letter... Worst of all from a gryffindor, but he was dying to find out about what had caused the little fight earlier that day.

His dark eyes read the piece of parchment clearly. Interesting, she assumed Pansy was his girlfriend, that actually made him laugh. He was a little put down that she had received no punishment, but oh well, at least someone had punched Pansy... It had been his dream for such a long time.

Draco went to the desk he had, and sat down there. He took up a new parchment piece, ink and a quill and began writing his reply. He did not comment on the first paragraph of her message however.

Sophie,

I am shocked that they let you off so easily, but then again, looking at who your head of house is... I really should not be surprised. As for my so called 'Pug faced girlfriend,' I believe you have the wrong impression. She is not my girlfriend by any means, and I must admit, I was jealous that you beat me to the punch. She can be very aggravating some days... Most days actually.

Be careful though, if you start teaching those Gryffindorks your moves, I have no doubt my Slytherins will return the favour by hexing your fellows into the next week.

Gryffindork and all, how did it feel to punch Pansy in the face? She's been a pain in my rear since first year...

Draco.

As he finished writing he immediately gave it to the owl to keep himself from not sending it. Draco could not believe that he was actually asking a gryffindor how it felt to punch a slytherin, let alone confessing he was single and hated the people of his house.

((I just want to apologize about the fact that he is acting quite a bit out of character... -.-))

(Don't worry about it. I think it's good cause that just means that he's in love and actually loving someone has changed him....at least that's what I see.)

As Sophie sat on her bed, she was deeply lost in reading her Mythical Creatures book. Her homework was finished but she couldn't help but find some mythical creatures fascinating. Hayden rested on Sophie's knee as she stayed alert for any danger. Suddenly, Hayden's squawk to get her attention made Sophie jump. It wasn't everyday that Hayden had to squawk so loudly to get Sophie to listen to her. "What?" Sophie asked. Hayden looked toward the window and noticed Draco's owl again. This time with another letter. Sophie groaned and opened the window but didn't take the letter. "I'll take it on one condition," she said to the bird. "Don't you even think about biting me. You do and I'll strangle you." Cautiously, she took the note and began to read. Sophie somewhat figured that Draco would be angry at her for punching Pansy but, in fact, it was the quiet opposite. Once again, she grabbed another piece of parchment and wrote her response.

Draco,

I knew you secretly wanted to punch her. It seems the whole school does no matter who you are. Sorry to hear you're not dating. You're so perfect for each other.

What was it like punching her? Easy. It's the same when you punch anyone. Your hand may throb but you get the satisfaction of breaking their nose, making them cry, and causing them pain. Although, I found it even more satisfying to punch Pansy. It was well worth it. Detention or not.

And if you Snakes ever hex any of our Lion's, then it's war. Just to warn you, of course.

Sophie

Sophie handed the letter back to the black owl who, thankfully, didn't bite or even try to. The bird jumped out the window and saw something else out the window. Hagrid sat outside, having trouble with one of his creatures. She grabbed her shoes and almost ran outside to his hut. There were still so many things she wanted to talk to him about when it came to mythical creatures. Thanks to him, that was her new passion and actually wanted to become a vet for mythical creatures. The same thing her Aunt did for a living in her home of Egypt.

The brightly lit moon guided her way to Hagrid's hut. As he saw her coming, he gave her a questioning look. "Sorry, I saw you from my window and I wanted to learn more about mythical creatures. I feel like I don't get enough from the books or from class. I really just want to learn more." Hagrid smiled at her and pulled out a chair from behind him.

"I brought it just in case Harry, Ron, or Hermione might visit me tonight but you're more than welcome to have a seat and meet" Hagrid began but Sophie already knew.

"Kpataror, also known as Shadowfire." The black unicorn stared at her. His fire red flames of his mane and tail moved as if they really were fire. The unicorn watched her carefully as she looked at him. Sophie smiled, knowing exactly who the unicorn was. "He's the Unicorn King of the shadows." Hargrid smiled and nodded. "But Hagrid, how did you ever find him? I thought it was impossible to catch?"

"I brought him here." A centaur stepped out from behind the house and into the open where she could finally see him. "I asked him to come as a friend."

"Sophie this is Pholus. Pholus this is one of my many students." Hagrid introduced. Kpataror began to walk around Sophie and sniffed her. Sophie laughed as his nose tickled her but she tried to remain still. "He seems to like you."

"But Hagrid, are you sick?" She asked him but the half-giant shook his head. "Then why bring Kpataror here?" The two looks of Pholus and Hagrid were both of confusion. "Unicorns have healing powers, and with Kpataror, his blood will make you live longer than a normal unicorn's blood would."

"It's not for me." Hagrid chuckled at her knowledge. She reminded him of Hermione who knew everything about anything. "It's for one of the Thestrals. Want to come help?" Sophie nodded and followed Hagrid to the back of house, the whole while educating Sophie on more mythical creatures.

((Lol ok. I'm terribly sorry for replying so late -.- I'm having a very hard time keeping up with all my roleplays, especially these long post ones... Just a warning, this post will be pretty small, I am so bloody tired... Please forgive me... I've had a very stressful week -.-))

He recieved the return letter and chuckled. Draco stopped himself. What behavior was this? He was acting like he liked that Sophie girl... Nonsense really. he just admired that tiny sliver of slytherin in her.

Draco got up and walked over to his bed. It wasn't too late in the night, but he found himself absolutely tired. He undressed slowly before climbing into his rather large bed. If he wanted, more then one person could fit comfortably on there with room to move around...

The next morning, he got up, and using his own personal washroom, got showered, dressed and ready for the day. Seeing as it was a weekend, he left his bookbag behind as he headed out to the Common room. There would be a trip to Hogsmeade today and he had made sure that he had some money to throw around while he was there... Maybe get some butterbeers or possibly even firewhiskey. The common was packed with slytherins dressed in normal clothing, muggle clothing so to speak.

Not wanting to be trapped with all those idiotic people for too long, he slipped out and slowly made his way up to the great hall for breakfast. It was around ten in the morning and people were lounging around, chatting with their friends, or playing games in the courtyard.

(Sweety. Do NOT worry about it. It is perfectly fine. I understand if you're busy, stressed, whatever. You don't have to stress over this rp. It's fine. And....again...you're post is not short. It's fine. You're fine. We're all fine. At least you're still giving me stuff to work with and that's what I want. No need to apologize.)

Sophie woke up early on Saturday and headed to the lake. It was peaceful but it wasn't the city like she was used to. She missed it but she had to make due with everything new. Hagrid was a big help learn more about mythical creatures. She had such a fun time in learning more about mythical creatures.

She had fixed herself up as she always did in New York. Sophie stared into the water and later realized a noise that was coming from her stomach. It was around 10 and she hadn't eaten anything yet. Casually, she walked into the Great Hall where breakfast was still being served. Today was the day they would be going to Hogsmeade and she couldn't wait to go. Finally, the would be going to a place with giant buildings. At least, so she thought.

(Sorry it's short. When I saw you bump it, I was kind of in a hurry to write it.)
