Amarella Harte You know, ever since we got two cats I've never had to worry about spiders in the house. They eat them.
The only problem with that has been once. Petra woke me up at 4:30 in the morning demanding that I follow her into the bathroom. I was worried that something may have happened to Cissy, my other cat (Petra had never done this before and I had just read a story of a cat doing that when the other cat in the house had gotten hurt). So I stumbled after her only to find that there was a spider on the wall and she just wanted me to knock it down 'cause she couldn't reach it. rofl That's too funny... my cat won't eat the spiders ~ just knocks 'em for a good loop. Apparently they supposedly taste quite bitter. She did get irritated with my older brother when he thwacked an enormous beetle she'd been harassing in to a spider web near the top of the house... she could no longer reach it and spent a long time glaring at him. You could almost hear her cat thoughts... "Big jerk" lol

I've never seen a spider in this house since '01, but it has been filled with flies from time to time. My sister's cat would chase, play with, and eat them. It was pretty entertaining to watch him chase them, though. He'd run and jump all over the place and dart his eyes around the room as he watched them. He also made those weird predatory "ehh" noises, when he lost them or was stalking them.

Cissy will take a bite, act like a baby eating a pickle, spit it out, and stare at it. She will repeat this process 3 or 4 times before swallowing it.

I love spiders and laughed when my kids showed me this video a while back. Drunk spider having a restraining order put out on it after having 100 babies! Hilarious! charamath Camel spiders are freaking huge, but harmless smile I don't mind spiders, I just hate the thought of them crawling on me while sleeping and usually I kill ones big enough to bite if they're in the house (I play with them if they're outside). Oddly enough I don't freak out if I find one crawling on me while awake..... I didn't know camel spiders were harmless. There seems to be tons of pictures online of the bites people have recieved from them. Ugly bites! Looks more like a bite from a brown recluse. Now thats a nasty spider, and it's tiny!

I guess I should say 'not deadly'. They aren't venomous (infact they aren't even spiders. more like scorpions), but they do secret digestive juices while they gnaw (much like the Recluse, but with less potency). Almost everyone bitten are people who've aggravated them on purpose and underestimated how fast they are. Most of what I've read goes something like 'So I threw rocks at this 6 in spider and the sucker chased after me like greased lightening!' They can run up to 10mph. Now if you want a truly disturbing spider, look up the 'bird spider'.

I hate spiders. I've been bitten in 3 places by the brown recluse spider in my sleep and wakening up to pain TT is a horrible thing. My cat is a punk he'll play with a bug, then tire of it and let it go.
Anyway this video is too funny I'm going to share it with friends.

I thought this was an official documentary until the part with the crack spider came up xD There once was a test with drugs on spiders to see how it affected the web building.
